People left in droves Nothing has replaced this economic engine Both the public schools and the local government are bad The town has a long road to recovery. Almost any Bay Area town is a better real estate investment

I am a current Vallejo resident and have been for several years. Here is what my clients and I have experienced: Strong and steady home value appreciation. Not only is it more affordable and affords folks the opportunity to buy when they couldn't otherwise, most are enjoying really strong and steady home value appreciation. Schools have worked hard to serve their students and they continue to rank higher and higher on greatschools.org and niche.com. Costco believes in the value of Vallejo so much that they are re-investing millions of dollars to expand their property and build a new warehouse. Costco meticulously selects areas that they believe will continue to enjoy strong home values with resident incomes that are higher than the national average. Vallejo is not without its faults, just like any other city. It may not be for you but it's offered a lovely home to myself and many others.
Bought our first home in Vallejo Heights neighborhood last year and could not be happier. So diverse and everyone is very friendly and supportive. Love our Tudor style home and we have the best view. Taking the kids and dog for a walk by the water its just lovely.

@@ulisesrobles1549 Los Molcajetes is delicious!! That was a great find. For Thai, I've really enjoyed Maya Thai house and The Loft. Yo sushi in Glen Cove has a large variety of delicious Japanese cuisine. IF you want to try something upscale, I HIGHLY recommend Michael Warring in Hiddenbrooke. He plates the most beautiful and tasty dishes. It's definitely on par with the best restaurants in SF but without the price tag!
Thanks for this video and pointing out the pluses of living in Vallejo. I have lived in Vallejo for twelve years now. I have also lived in Walnut Creek, Rossmoor, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Martinez most of my life. I have felt as safe here as any of these other locations.
I'd like to put in a good word for the Grant Mahoney Park neighborhood....between Tuolumne and I80 and Redwood and Tennessee Streets, just east of the Vista. The houses are a little older and smaller than the Vista but just as diverse in terms of styles. I've lived here for 15 years and have loved it! Lots of good starter homes here.

Welcome to Vallejo! The area you mentioned sounds like it covers a few different neighborhoods. Harry Floyd Terrace is likely the main neighborhood. It's a very convenient location! So glad you're loving it!
