Great footage, it has been a season of relentless storms, small craft warnings again this weekend!

Thanks David, yes I've never known such a wet and stormy winter. The damage up here in the North East has been extraordinarily bad!! Cheers

Hello my friend! Wow! Extraordinary with what terrible force of the waves, they damaged that lighthouse, which withstands all storms! I was expecting to go out with the kayaks in that place, when the wind calmed down. Were you surprised by that huge wave falling over the pier? Glad you escaped unscathed!
    Have a beautiful weekend! 🤗

Hi Viorel, I trust you are well. It was absolutely amazing watching the power of the sea smashing against the sea walls high into the air, moving massive stone blocks weighing many tons.
Yes, it was a great surprise seeing that amount of water towering way up above me, all I could do was wait for it to drop on me to see what happend 😄😄😃
      Have a great weekend

Hello Geoff, Thanks for the interesting and informative "something different." It was nice to see your home port, although somehow I thought you lived in or about Glasgow? It is always awesome to see the power of the sea. In my neck of the woods we are experiencing the sea power a bit too often with the not so gradual warming of the Western North Atlantic. Hurricane activity and related storm surge has taken it's toll on some costal communities. Again thanks for a well prepared, as always, video and story. You know, I am still thinking about a trip to the "old country." before my biological clock hits midnight.

Morning Doug, so pleased you're continuing to enjoy the video's. Indeed, it's frightening the pace of coastal erosion everywhere and the severity of weather systems breaking new records every year seriously affecting coastal communities, as you say... man has a lot to answer for!!
I actually live in Houghton le Spring, about halfway between Sunderland and my birth town of Durham.
We're fortunate as It's a bit more central for all parts of the country but does mean a good 5hr drive to so of my more favourite kayaking spots off the West Coast of Scotland.
If you do decide a trip to the "old country" (which I think you should 😃), let me know, I'd be happy to meet up 👍
Sorry I've forgotten where you hail from at present?
      Keep in touch 👍👍

@@geoffburke Good morning Geoff, or good afternoon in your case. Not to worry, I'll continue to watch your wonderful videos as long as you produce them. I hail from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. My birth place is Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. So we just have this little stream separating us. We are presently in the depths of winter of it has been a snowy one this year with areas of Cape Breton receiving 185 cm (a little more than 6 ') in the past 2 weeks. That is a lot of snow when it drifts.
Yes, my better half, Cindy, and I are considering a quick visit to the UK this summer which would likely include a trip to the North. Many of my ancestors are of Scottish descent. My maternal Grandmother was born in Glasgow prior to immigrating to NS. I was last in Scotland in the mid 80's, so another visit is due. Thank you for the invitation to connect. I will certainly do just that if our plan comes to fruition. Geoff, you're kind of my kayak rock star idol and in better shape than Keith Richards! 😎
Ok, thanks again for another great video. May the waters warm ... but not too much. All the best, Doug

Geoff, I am excited to tell you that in July we (Cindy, my better half and I) will be making our way to Scotland and there abouts. You're a good ambassador and salesman! At the risk sounding too forward, I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions regarding locations, outfitters, tour companies etc. We will only have a brief visit this time but would love to dip a paddle on your side of the pond. I promise not to over do it with questions. Thanks, Doug@@geoffburke

Curious, why the 4 month wait to put this video out? Spectacular images however.

Hi Bevo, good to hear your fine comments...thanks, and pleased you enjoyed it.
Yeah, apologies for the wait, apart from other thing getting in the way like the Slate Isles Trip video and holidays Storm Babet got sidelined as most of my vids are purely Sea kayaking, then I had the idea of using a few bit of old footage to produce a slight kayak slant on things.

Hi Alex, thanks and pleased you enjoyed it. Not really a good drone pilot, probably more the editing/post production 😂😂
I keep telling myself I must get out and practice more, plus its can be "quite a dry watch" unless the subget I right, plus my channel is more kayak related which I think viewers come to expect. Thanks again, it's appreciated 👍
