      @davidludford2164 Hi David and thanks so much for your kind comments 😀
      Muckle Flugga and Out Stack are just incredible!!!
      Climbing up the crumbling cut stone steps to eventually stand at the lighthouse, utterly is breathtaking !!
      It is, like being at the "Edge of the World" but the entire time, your mind is focused on the ruggedness, remoteness, and relentless forces that are constantly battering the islands and rock into submission.
      A fellow subscriber asked if you can get a trip boat out there, but due to its remoteness and general sea conditions, I think it's unlikely and too risky that skippers would risk landing the general public.
      We were fortunate to just make it in the kayaks as we're able to manoeuvre to get close into the rocks ledges.
      Lots more stunning adventures and footage on the channel. Please don't forget to subscribe, share with friends as new Adventures are being added regularly.
      Thanks Again Geoff

      @@daejeon0607 Thanks Kyle, Shetland is the UK's ultimate Sea Kayaking area in my opinion, with everything that's great about sea kayaking multiplied to the extreme 😀 👍
      The Muckle Flugga trip took that to the pinnacle for me....remoteness and exposure, sea conditions, amazing wildlife and for you the geology would have been 'top draw', it certainly was for me. Wonderful features everywhere with caves, tunnels, geo's and general strata sculpted by the wild elements of Atlantic swell meeting the North Sea 🌊 Magnificent! Lots more videos to come from this year's trips that are still to edit.

      Aye, conditions change so quickly up there, requiring constant monitoring things and having back up plans & escape routes. The bonxies are, what I can only describe as pure evil in the way they gang up on single gannets until they drive them into the sea, where if they don't regurgitate their catch they drive the gannet underwater and drown them in a desperate attempt to steal food. 😡😡

      @edwardyyy530 Hi Edward, and thanks for your comments. Difficult, as it's obviously so remote and subject to extremes of weather and swell, which makes it very difficult to get too, let alone land. It's getting a skipper that's prepared to give it a go. Trying to land and retrieve you would be very risky as there'sno jetty, the steps to the lighthouse are scary enough... thinking public liability issues, etc etc, would make it a very slim chance indeed!!

    Can we please have a video where we can hear and enjoy the natural sounds of the environment, instead of stupid over-dramatic music.

    • @geoffburke
      @geoffburke  Рік тому +1

      Hi Laki, and thanks for your very candid comments. While I'm aware of people's varied taste in music it is always very difficult to select something to suit all tastes, but I do try, especially with a sport and area that is so remote and dramatic as its location. Producing any video or professional documentary requires music to enhance the captured images and can't just be produced with natural sound especially when shot on a simple "action camera" and as stated any soundtrack is completely subjective and impossibleto please everyone.
      I produce these video's as a record/memory of a sport/lifestyle that I love (as you have a passion for cars but unfortunately no video's of your own to show as an example). Feedback I receive is always most welcome (and I get lots of amazing comments) so it comes as a shame and a great surprise to have my work criticised as "stupid over-dramatic" and leads me to think of what a shame you have such a self centered view that you need everything changed to suit your taste.
      Thanks again for you comments and when you do produce something of your own please forward the link to me for an honest unbiased review. Best Regards Geoff
