Marcin is a dubbing and musical actor. At the age of 22, he won the role of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Musical Theater in Łódź (he was a bit too young for this role, but when he sang "Gethsemane" in the casting, he got the main role 😆). Now he is 31 years old and one of the most recognizable theater vocalists in Poland! He dubbed and sang the character of Jaskier in ,,The Witcher"
I've been waiting for this for so long! I'm glad there's finally a reaction :D (Every day I checked to see if it was already there xD) Marcin is soooo good! OMG I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! Every time I listen to it... i look like this: 😲😲😲😲
It's always interesting to see the changes in the lyrics to make this song fit into the melody. Pretty much keeps the same sentiment as the original English version. I have heard this song sung well many times. I add this one to that list. Thanks for your reaction.
After hearing this passionate version, you HAVE to do Dan Vasc's video of Gesthemane, it blows any other versions I've heard. Be prepared to be amazed at not only Dan's voice, but his stunning portrayal of Jesus made me cry.
wow! He is an amazing singer. and that was fascinating to watch. This is English, translated to Polish, translated back to English. It was interesting to see how they changed the lines in the song to fit Polish but still retain much the essence of what was said. Some of it was different but some phrases wouldn't have translated well. For instance, I imagine an idiom like "You hold all the cards" doesn't translate directly into Polish. In some cases it was a bit off. “Is this poison supposed to cause death?” is not the same as “I don’t want to taste it’s poison”. Changing “Would you ask as much from any other man” to “What kind of person would endure so much and sacrifice so much?” was a bit odd. Interesting that they left “Before I change my mind” out of it. Translation aside, this guy is amazing!
Heard him live in Jesus Christ in theatre( in Poland they played it in original with polish subtitles😅) I must say him singing it English was even better
@@aleksandraz121 I saw it live with some of the original cast back in the day. I imagine that seeing him live would be amazing. I would go to a Polish language version just to hear him.
Got all excited then, thought u were reviewing Dan Vasc 😢. By the way it's pronounced Geth sem an née. Always love your HF reactions, watch them over and over cos u really appreciate them. Thank you. Nana Karen UK

Monika Urlik -nie wie nikt..... Dorota Osińska -banał
It's pronounced rather like "Franz". In fact I think it may be a German-origined last name changed into a Polish spelling.
Or a Jewish surname. Yiddish is very similar to German.
@@missAlice1990 yeah, but that's because it emerged mostly in Germany.
John Farnham still does the best version of this song
Best version is Camilo Sesto one
