I could have sworn I was was paying close attention during my set-up and everything went fine, technically. However, I never saw the part where I choose Native Segwit and I didn't notice until later that I had a regular Segwit. I created a new BTC wallet using the Native version but now I can't figure out how to get rid of that other wallet. Am I stuck with that original Segwit account for the rest of eternity or is there a way to remove it? I'm looking through the docs, too, but wanted to ask here just in case. Thanks!

Good question actually! The answer is that you should be able to use the recovery on most wallets out there, whether they be hardware (another Trezor, Ledger, Coldcard, Cobo, etc) or software on your desktop/mobile. Just remember if you use your backup on an internet connected device, your seed is no longer true "cold storage" and when you get new hardware you should create a new backup with different words 😁

Absolutely! Just copy the receive address from your regular wallet, then go into your hidden wallet and paste it into the send screen. No difference in transaction fees - those are dependent on how busy the network is and how quickly you want your funds to be spendable.
So this now only works with windows 10? I am old and when I got my Trezor 10 wasn't out yet. I don't need a new computer and my current one won't load windows 10. (I only use the computer for emails) Am I stuck with buying an new computer or can I somehow use the Trezor with windows 7 ?

My touchscreen is horrible. Takes me MANY attempts to enter my PIN. When I hit a key it enters the number several times and other times i have to hit the number several times. Very Stressful
The thing I never understand is why a hardware wallet is better than a paper wallet or an encrypted file that contains your private key. If your hardware wallet can be recreated from the seed phrase which is written down on a piece of paper somewhere else then whey not just put your private keys on that piece of paper. Better still put your private keys on a text file and save the text file in an encrypted file like a Truecrypt file. Having said that I think I will actually get the model t as it holds many cryptos.

Yes because you can use a brand new device if you have to. That backup seed is literally the keys to your money like he said. To keep his money safe Vitalik Buterin had only half his seed with him and the other half in another country lol
@@pepsico815 I checked the manual you're right, I didn't realise the passphrase actually modifies the recovery seed in essence creating an encrypted recovery seed.
If you are referring to the seed phrase back up, there are several options. Write down on paper, buy a steel card (many cold wallets also sell) that are indestructible in fire, flood etc. This is the tricky part as you are now responsible for everything.

From what I understood (I'm newer than you in crypt ), you don't own bitcoins anywhere. You just store/own the key access to that certain amount of bitcoins. So, the bitcoin will fluctuate regardless of your key/access to your amount. If I understood wrong, I hope someone will correct me and teach us better.
@@BTCSessions Trezor were actually quite good in the end, replacing the faulty model. I found using a stylus makes it easier to input passwords etc. However, the device is volatile - on given days it won't work properly - very weird as the following day, it will work fine - has anyone experienced this? Also, trezor suite exchange service is not working properly.
Trevor model T is not that good. It doesn't support famous Crypto like : Vechain, Hbar, Bittorent or BTT, bitcoin diamond, STorm x. It supports a lot of crypto but doesn't support the listed crypto. That's not good.

That said, if you have a suggestion of how to sustain a full time UA-cam channel, costs of hardware (camera, computers, wallets, etc) while also being compensated for time given that a good tutorial is a full day of work - I'm all ears! Bitcoin is easy to send over. The hard one to figure out on the Trezor T model is how to send over Alt coins like XLM, Ren, Algorand ect.

Depends on the country you're in. The US I'd say Cashapp is pretty good. Canada I'd check out Bull Bitcoin or Shakepay.

Forgot to mention, there is Bitcoin only firmware for Cobo Vault, and you can get a BTC only version of the BitBox 02 as well.
You can connect your trezor to an electrum wallet too. But make sure the electrum is a good clean copy.

The screen on the trezor t is crap - it is not easier that the trezor 1 - furthermore trezor will refuse to replace your unit if it goes wrong
Personally I like the screen, but to each their own! I prefer using Coldcard and Cobo Vault over Trezor, to be honest.

@@markcranston3145 double check you are using the provided cable, as I've heard things can be erratic if you sub in different ones.
