I like how hardware wallets force you to test the seed after it has been generated but I still think that the best test possible is to move a small amount on it, wipe the wallet and then restore it using the seed. If your funds show up again then good, the seed was written down correcly
Yeah I'd agree, as long as you're confident your computer is secure and there is no keylogger present. If not, then it's in your best interest to REALLY make sure you've double checked all words.
Sorry I should have clarified - I was speaking in general terms vs this wallet specifically. There are a few devices requiring manual input via computer, which is super insecure.
Nice one. Thanks a lot for this video. It's really good. Straight to the point. I like this device. I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get something more user friendly, like this one
Thank you for the detailed explanation of transferring coins. This has been very helpful for an old fart who is only moderately tech savvy, but very much attuned to the overall markets and trends. I understand a lot about "what" to do, but "how" to do it is intimidating. I opened a Coinbase account over 3 years ago, and have too much sitting in it now, but the uncertainty about losing funds in transfers has kept me from acting. Thanks again.
Thanks for the breakdown! 🤔 I wanted to ask something unrelated: 🤔 I only have these words 🤔. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). How do I use this? 🤨
This is definitely do-able in a couple ways! You could print the QR code from your trezor and bring it to a machine. Or screen shot your address and have it on your mobile device. A more interactive way (assuming you want to see the money land) is you could use an app for Android called Sentinel. It basically can track your trezor balance and allow you to deposit without having the device with you. I did a video on it that you should be able to search easily on my channel!
Question??..when you leave your Bitcoins or any other coins on Trezor, does the price of the coins fluctuate in your wallet pending on the price of Bitcoin..ect..or does it lock in the value in USD on the Trezor...Thanks
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this tutorial. Can you please tell me how to check my BTC balance on the Trezor without having access to my hardware wallet? thank you
Hi BTC Sessions great content as usual! There was a release of a new firmware recently, introducing Shamir Secret Backup. Could you please make a Tutorial how to update this last Firmware version. ( Trezor Model T ) Thx, bro 😊
The device itself doesn't share the private key and is never actually connected to the internet itself. That said, for a greater level of security using something called partially signed Bitcoin transactions, check out my video on the Coldcard wallet. The thing never touches your computer.
When private keys are created in hidden files, should I be concerned to have computer experts work on it ? I mean, are the hidden files of private keys secure? I have a trezor one.
I tried to move some Bitcoin Cash from my Ledger nano x to coinbase. It never arrived, something about a legacy address. Blockchair shows 1378 confirmations. I sent .9 BCH. Any suggestions? thank you
I have a question. Can you help? So if I move my ALL my coins from coin base for example, and now my balance is zero in coin base. Does this Trezor device keep track of my bitcoin activity from that wallet as well? Meaning, if my bit coin increases by 3% for that day for example, will that reflect in Trezor?? Or does all bitcoin activity stop when its moved to the device? Did I miss out on that 3% gain? Also, being that my bitcoin wallet is now zero, do I have to start over and buy more coins? Did my question make sense?
This is something that a lot of people get confused about. When the ‘price’ of bitcoin goes up, you still have the same amount of bitcoin. Let’s say you have 1 bitcoin in your wallet. That 1 bitcoin will ALWAYS be there unless you transfer it out. So the price (relative to USD) can go up and down all year long while you still have 1 bitcoin. The only time you “realize” a gain or a loss is when you exchange your bitcoin for USD. So just HODL!!!
Im using Windows 10, Chrome. Bridge shows its running in background in task manager. I'm trying to setup Trezor T for the first time. I click on "new wallet", then it goes to "preparing your Trezor" then "your Trezor is ready", and it brings me to the "transactions" page, and my Trezor says "Needs Backup!" . I tried wiping and starting again a few times. Same situation. It is skipping the part where I need to get the 12 word passphrase right? What to do? Thanks
Hey bro, i saw that Billfodl is a distributer for trezor in the us. Do you know them or have a referral link for them? Trying to get away from the shipping fee from Europe
Trezor and Ledger both started as companies years ago, long before the hype of 2017. They've likely planned for these types of bear markets and the lack of sales that come with them. That said, I'm sure there are many new companies that popped up during the mania who will be less prepared and may fail due to lack of revenue.
I bought the Coldlar wallet you made a video on about a month ago. I will receive it tomorrow. They video you made on it was perfect, i had no idea something like that was around. I will leave a comment on that video after i get it and play around with it!
Hi BTC Session, in the case that PIN was lost or forgotten, the option from trezor manual is factory reset and then recovery the funds, Have you ever done this test? Are the funds in the accounts lost? Appreciate your comments
russ anderson nope, your funds are safe on your old device! The only reason to upgrade is if you find the new one more appealing, or if some new features/coins that you really want to utilize aren't available on the old model. Nothing you're currently storing will be at risk though.
I would say that Trezor is perhaps the most user friendly device in the entire industry. As for support, any time I've reached out, I've been answered quite quickly. What issue did you encounter? Did you contact their support?
@@BTCSessions Sorry I freaked out, I ran into a video later that says USB-C adapters from micro USB have been having problems but I couldn't figure it out at the time. I ordered a new cable, so I hope that works.
@@BTCSessions The problem is with the bridge download from trezor. but if you use multiple adapters to connect the two devices then the connection is broken? I don't get it.

well, the restore procedure doesn't involve an external computer at all... isn't it.. I mean, at least on the Ledger Nano S
Sorry I should have clarified - I was speaking in general terms vs this wallet specifically. There are a few devices requiring manual input via computer, which is super insecure.
Yep, agree totally. This is what I would be doing. I'm a massive fan of the test
@Russell Spears hey I think the link in the show notes will work! Thanks for asking 😁

You forgot to mention the TREZOR Holographic Tape Strip over the USB Port ?
Verry good review! Is it also possible to send BTC directly from an ATM to the Trezor? Thnx bro! Nice hair!

if you have for example a bitcoin you will have a bitcoin and you will only recieve money once you sell it

Do I really need a model T or does the Terzor one sufficient enough?
Isn't hooked up to the internet vulnerable?

Thank you for your video. I would like to know if Ripple XRP is already supported by Tresor T.
"A backup is key" lol LITERALLY
which you suggest for wallet trezor or nano x ledger
The best video out there, very informative, Thanks!
I would have liked to have seen a passphrase being applied and toggling between wallets by use of different pincodes.

Is there a link on how i can do this?
Please... for a newbie... a step by step guide of how to transfer Trezor "supported coins" to Trezor model T wallet using latest Trezor suite.
I'm curious, how does hardware wallet sustain themselves if they don't sell much hardware?

What a shame people just talking about those 10 coins that appear on trezor, what about those are not there
Will this work on a Chromebook?
Where does it really hold your 12 word password
if i have crypto on a trezor one do i need to upgrade to the model T ? will the trezor one become obsolete at some point ? thanks

Digging your hair friend! subbed for hair!
