Im sooooo excited that I have found you. Been trying to teach myself watercolour by watching UA-cam and going insane with all the different methods. I do love the look of botanicals but they have so much detail and no way I could even attempt all that detail. I love your method so much. I think that I could give it a go. I will look at your classes. Watching from Sydney, Australia.
Lindy that's wonderful to hear! So glad you find the videos helpful. I felt the same as you when I was starting out and there was not much on UA-cam at that time! Check out my website for more resources: www.laurawatson.ca
I love it. I can see that I posted below about 5 months ago. Now Im ready to follow along with you. So exciting. I just sent you an email on your website asking how to gain access to this full length tutorial . :-)
Hi Lindy, I do not have full length videos of all the botanicals on UA-cam. However I do have quite a few new full length classes available in The Watercolour Garden my online school. I add new full length classes each month. Currently there is a class on primroses, crocuses, and sweet peas, this week a new class will launch and it will be a hawthorn blossom. More info for you and how to access it all here: lauraashton.ca/pages/join-the-watercolour-garden-special-offer
@@LauraWatsonArt oh, ok. I thought some of the 50 botanicals would be available...bit confused. I will have to leave it then as I cant afford an ongoing payment.
Hi Lindy, this is a class that is hosted off of UA-cam and I am currently re-filming some of the lessons. After that it will be available for enrollment again via my website.
Hi Linda, thank you! The lighter green I use is sap green by Winsor a Newton mixed with some Daniel smith Phthalo Yellow Green :) Thanks for watching my video!
can you teach us how to sketch for botanical paintings? i mean how to not get overwhelmed by details, but still get them correctly (?) 🙈🙏 i often get lost when i try to sketch for botanical painting attempts. still need to learn how to capture details without being overwhelmed 😃 thank you 🙏
Hi that's a great suggestion. You can check out my recent post for drawing hacks for botanical and animal painting. But yes a sketching video is a good idea.
Hi Camille, I have a few classes available right now. It may be you are thinking of watercolour botanicals for beginners which is an older class I offered in the past. I have an online school now called the watercolour garden that offers new classes each month. If you are interested in more info on it you can check it out here: lauraashton.ca/pages/join-the-watercolour-garden-special-offer
Let me know if you find this video helpful and what types of videos you would like to see next!
Beautiful. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful! I really enjoy your style of teaching & painting!
Thank you so much!

You mentioned you have a class called Watercolour Botanicals For Beginners, but I can't find it.

Where is the beginners class? Is it the same as the one for Gladiola’s?
