9:17 that "Emu, I...!" omg the way he said it...he sounds so hurt man...and the fact that he just stopped there...I think he must be considerate about Emu's dream too, that's why he couldn't even continue...it's so painful
I know it may look funny and all, but also the fact that Tsukasa's face literally gets darkened after learning that Emu decided to stay is actually so sad...and the way that he said those things with such emotionless tone, to the point that Nene thought that Tsukasa took it all so lightly, only for him to admit that it's hard to say goodbye with a smile...it says a lot about his whole internal conflict about it. Here I thought that Tsukasa may be the one who'd be the most "okay" (?) about them going separate ways, but turns out that's not the case at all...he really is so hurt over having to part ways with Emu. But at the same time, it's good that he shows such a strong reaction about it, because it really shows how Emu is so important to him
Man I just have a lot to say regarding Tsukasa's reaction in this chapter
right! without a doubt its hard for him, especially since emu and phoenix wonderland kickstarted the first step towards not just his dream of stardom but also remembering his real motivations behind why he wants to perform. theres that responsibility in a sense too as the leader to be the stronger and more resolute one in supporting emu's decision, i feel? which might be why he opted for that emotionless tone... id like to think its out of how much he cherishes the dreams of all of his friends that he tried to carry himself in that way? similar to how he's a strong older brother for saki and all- i guess its the want to support the people who matter to him?
its nice to see the bittersweet yet wholesome sides to their interactions though

On the optimistic side, I really do like how Tsukasa, Nene, and Rui are able to become freelancers, which can allow them to be closer together, which I'm sure that I wasn't alone on thinking that every person would depart and follow separate paths, as originally thought. Of course, it is heartbreaking that Emu isn't willing to leave behind the Wonder Stage, but I also think that it doesn't have to all be dreadful when they leave the Phoenix Wonderland staff. *(Slight spoiler mention here)* Though I've "read" through the entire event via Google Translate (painfully), I think that even if Emu were to stay at the stage and the three stay as a freelance group, it is still much better than every person leaving separately. I mean, I honestly thought that it would be Emu and Rui that would be the ones staying "behind", while Tsukasa and Nene move "forward", but I am certainly glad to be wrong in the least terms here. Emu staying at the stage would allow her to stay true to her heart by preserving the Wonder Stage, which is not to be "brushed away" since it may seem inconvenient in terms of everyone staying together, and the other three would at least stay in the most contact that they can, and most importantly, Emu could have as fair as a chance of staying close to her dreams as possible. As mentioned, it is still very heartbreaking to experience these circumstances, but I still believe that everyone being able to have an amiable farewell is not impossible. Well, there are still 5 more chapters to get through, so it's too early to be sure of anything yet.
As always, thank you very much for the translation! I'm always looking forward to your next upload(s), and seeing you working with two other translators certainly makes things very interesting and exciting. As to the movie that I've seen most recently, it would actually be one that I JUST finished watching right before clicking on this chapter, which would be The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes. I just thought that looking at another adaptation would be interesting, and decided to watch it tonight. Anyway, thank you for your translation, and I'll definitely stay for the rest of the event!
Thats true! An amiable farewell isnt impossible, honestly i was wondering if they would go through with it (and in turn how it'd be executed in terms of the media and the game's plot moving forward)! In terms of the characters themselves, I dont think its a bad thing per se if it became a 1-3 situation of freelancing, although with how sad emu is i do feel bad for her. But then again i suppose from the standpoint of the gamedevs/writer, [SPOILER]

it makes sense to have the conclusion be something in which the four of them are at the "same point" in terms of their journey? Its easier to write as compared to having each event be largely skewed towards a certain character (ie one of the 3 freelancers and their individual growth journey, or emu focus where she's adapting or the 3 come back as hired freelancers for an event with her) and might kind of defeat the selling point of a "group"? in that sense

Its definitely a way to get work done more efficiently whilst juggling our lives. The private life of Sherlock Holmes sounds interesting! Was it good? Maybe ill check it out!
@@ArvonOven I always look at the story regarding the characters and the depth of the writing within the situations that they are placed in, which, honestly, leaves me to forget the actual writing planning that the developers work on. That is a very good point that you brought up! I think that it does feel comforting that, in terms of the story progression, that WxS shouldn’t seriously depart soon (at least not until the “graduation”, I believe), but I am concerned as to how the story will manage to progress and still stay as bright as ever. I feel as though I may be cynical when I think that, but I can’t help but be honest. I still enjoy WxS very much, nonetheless!
Also, I really appreciate your reply, no need to worry about that! About the movie, I watched it since I’ve been looking at adaptations (after finishing the book canon some time ago), and I enjoyed seeing how the very true pressure that was forced onto people who were anything other than heterosexual, specifically in the 1800’s to 1900’s, was portrayed. Though I’m not gay myself, which means that my following statement should be taken with a grain of salt, I was surprised at how well the movie handed the inner conflict of a character’s homosexuality in a time as old as the late 1800’s, with even the movie itself being released in 1970. I appreciate how the movie handled the complicated inner conflict of homosexuality, and the homophobia being so commonplace as of that time. Besides that, the cases in the movie were fun to watch, and I’m sure that I’d recommend it, even if I consider myself to not be knowledgeable enough about all of the other adaptations as of this time.
