There isn't that much that I can add to this chapter, but I wonder if we'll see how the director and the other unnamed director met. Since the latter does have a sprite, it's a fair bet to say that we'll see him in the future again. Also, it's fun to watch Rui try to solve the current problem with direction using his own personal knowledge despite having very little experience with film, and I think it shows how inventive he really is. Anyway, I don't think it would be so popular of an opinion, but I would explode if an anime adaptation for the Potato event or Curtain Call were to be released! Revival My Dream would be fun for the most part, but the concerning aspects of the event make me reconsider if I'd want to see that again in an adaptation. For the Potato event, since it's my favorite, it'd be an obvious choice that I'd choose it for adapting, but Curtain Call has such a strong storyline within the 2 hours it has for its event runtime, so I think that would objectively be the best Rui focus to adapt into an anime, not going chronologically wise. OHHH IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE, if anyone cares please prepare for my 1000000 word essay brainrot even though ive replayed the ??? guys dialogue 500 times in game and now here i still cant figure out what his role/purpose is... he's got a sprite though so he is going to have some relevance but I CANNOT TELL IF THIS GUY IS GOING TO BE GOOD OR BAD FOR RUI LATER ON long thoughts below i saw someone else saying how he may be a foil for rui's character and that he could possibly be a stage director who has perhaps either endured or embraced the idea of prioritising money over passion (in the directing/entertainment field). this could be the guy who later on makes rui reconsider a few things he knows about this field, and perhaps the pattern we'll see with wxs after their current events of learning/training, is them realising some of the realities of acting industries. people dont care as much about what it takes to be at the top, nor does the audience care. the only things that matter are what pays a lot and what looks the best (ahem or just read the cyberpunk dead boy lyrics this exact theme is spelt out there). personally ive been begging for a storyline like this for wxs for ages, because i think its the perfect way to introduce a new conflict which doesnt necessarily target them as a group, but targets the value of their dreams and will force them to come up with a new resolve to continue. the only problem with this idea however is that... this ??? seems too friendly for my liking, despite also being blunt and nochalant. to counter that though, what caught my attention a lot was his continuous jabs at tomomi's production being low paying, and calling it "dull". im really curious about what he thinks of the industry because of that. but a final note, a small crack theory of mine, (contains spoilers for the end of this event) his name is censored the whole time... and hes going to come back for rui, whether it be through tomomi or rui calling for him. could this perhaps, somehow, be tom gray? the stage director rui idolised, but as a twist he's since become weathered and less romantic about the entertainment industry, thus creating the persona we see where he's clearly exceptional in his field but has this level of abrasiveness? imagine rui realising something like that - encountering upfront with the chance of losing his desires in order to make a living. oh, and asahi still exists. just for fun. he also loves tom gray. is there gonna be a link between the two later? cute reminder he will be coming back when rui graduates and offer him to leave wxs. the rest of wxs still dont know. will ???-maybe-tom-gray convince him more to prioritise a place where he can pursue a stable career, being arcland? god sega leaves so much rui lore just tucked away for future events its not fair NO ONE ELSE GETS THIS TREATMENT UGH

They haven't really covered the main negative aspects of the acting/film industry, including greed, fame, as well as others, but they may be intentionally avoiding that since it may not fit so well for a WxS event if they were to be completely blunt about it. Cyberpunk Dead Boy's lyrics, though I haven't read the full event, do seem to be awfully different from what goes on in the event, so I do speculate that the lyrics have something to say in the future event(s). Challenging the value of WxS' dreams against the harsh reality of the entertainment scene does seem like a great story for an event, so I'm curious if we'll get that in the future! For Tom Gray, I think that he'd be separate from the unnamed director model that we see in this event since there is a ticket to a performance of Tom Gray in Rui's 2nd Birthday card, so I think that it would be too recent for Rui to be unable to recognize him if he's aged, or it may be something else entirely! That does bring up the question if we'll ever see Tom Gray himself just like Tsukasa saw his idol, though...
