I used to laugh at Mustangs, I hated them and then I became a mechanic at a Ford dealer and fell in love. I bought a 2006 Mustang GT in 2008 and I got to perform a pre delivery inspection, gas it up and wash it and basically take delivery from myself LOL and I'm still the second owner, 34,977 miles and 375hp and it's PERFECT to me. Go out, get your dream car and enjoy!
I too am a Huge Bullitt fan and have been fascinated with the original 68 and ,like you . I also went nuts when they brought out the 08 Bullitt. I couldn't afford one new ,but i always looked for them in the classifieds and dealers ever since then. Finally i got to a point in my life where i could afford one so i Finally got my Bullitt last week with 88k on the clock. One of the greatest cars ive ever owned and will be with me for the rest of my life. The 02 and 18 Bullitts just don't have the look and style of the 08.
@Wooley689. Thank you for the kind words. The story continues and the car is still bringing me joy now almost 5 years to the day I got it. It's currently tucked away in storage until Spring. Waiting is the hardest part ;)
Great story, man...sorry for your loss. I have very much the same story as you. I lost my "mechanic" dad just a few weeks after you did (early April 2015), and he never go to see my Mustang project (a 2008 GT track project...and my dream car) before he passed. One of the last things he ever said to me as he looked over the "in the making" track car all in pieces on jackstands was "Man, I'd like to see this when it's all done." He passed away very suddenly three weeks later. My son helped me finish up and is my crew chief" at the track, so the father-son connection continues; I hope you have that some day too. Beautiful car you have there! Great video...thanks for sharing your car, your story.
I bought #1925 about a month ago and I can see it being my forever toy car. In 1972 I went to automotive school in Denver and worked for AMC and Lincoln Mercury but as a kid and through my working life , NEVER had the money for a great car. At 67 I am finally living my own dream and I simply smile , every time I get in it !!! Mike
I used to own this car!!! It is absolutely so awesome s To see someone enjoying it!! I had the front California bumper installed. I still have the aftermarket exhaust I had on it while I owned it. I have lots of pictures of #890 it even made it on a car calendar once. I bought it at Harvard ford and sold it back to them. Please contact me
Thank you for posting this, Don. I share a few things with you. I was 14 in 1968, visiting my grandmother in Denver. I was playing basketball with some friends in the neighborhood and across the street this young man, about 20 or so, got into a 1968 Mustang Fastback and drove off. This was in May of that year, right about the time they were filming ‘Bullitt’. Little did I know that 40 years later I’d be owning my own Mustang, the Bullitt 2008. My dad had passed away in 2004; like your dad he was very mechanically inclined but he wasn’t in to cars. He knew that I was and the Bullitt film was a favorite of ours. I know it wasn’t a coincidence that I bought my Bullitt right on his birthday, January 26, 2008. It was his gift to me. Anyway, I was very touched by your story and completely understand what you’re talking about. Thanks again!
Wow. All I can say is wow. Everything about this video is properly next level. The camerawork, the sounds, the editing, really REALLY nice! I am dumbfounded this video hasn't been found by more people yet. Thank you so much for making it and sharing. I too have a 2008 bullitt, and although it isn't as well kept as yours, it still manages to put a smile on my face. Have you thought about modifying your car? Also, you should join IMBOC if you haven't already. It's a Bullitt only forum. They would all love to see this video. If you don't post it, I will. This film is too good not to be seen! Thank You for sharing
@Nick G. Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback Nick. I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Since this video, I have done a few mods of note. Most notably the Ford Racing Adjustable Suspension kit and the FR500 Axle back exhaust. These Bullitt cars are truly hidden gems! Please do share it with the IMBOC community. I'll need to check in since I haven't been on their in a while. Please share away. There will be more enthusiast stories to come featuring all different kinds of rides. All my best!
I too am a Huge Bullitt fan and have been fascinated with the original 68 and ,like you . I also went nuts when they brought out the 08 Bullitt. I couldn't afford one new ,but i always looked for them in the classifieds and dealers ever since then. but my budget very tight still but still hoping to keep the Dream alive that i will get one of my own some day but its very hard and i am 57 now
Well done! Heartwarming and very professional production. I was riveted till the end. Fabulous editing too! Sorry you lost your Dad (mentor). I too know that feeling. I have a very similar story. Dad was a Ford guy tho. I see your dad was open to other brands. He molded my life into what it’s become. I love Mustangs and out of my some 180 automobiles in my lifetime, I’ve had about 15 Mustangs. I too owned a Bullitt (2008) should have kept it. It’s one of the ones that “got away” sadly. I am ready to find another soon. Thanks a million for sharing your story! ❤
I owned a 2001 Bullitt that I supercharged, it was a project car for my dad and I and I recently had and accident that totalled the car and broke my leg and while in the hospital the first thing we discussed was what do we do with the insurance money and we instantly knew we had to buy another Bullitt. Somehow we found a 2008 Bullitt with a supercharger already installed that was well within our price range and it's now our garage it's our new project car we absolutely love it and it's something we share and bond over. I totally understand the connection you have with that car and your dad. We even have the models/diecast cars and a Bullitt movie poster in our garage.
Thank you for the wonderful feedback! It's always incredible to hear similar stories about these cars and see how these videos impact our audience. I live in the Midwest so my Bullitt is currently tucked away in hibernation. I'm going a little crazy not being able to drive it. It's cool to hear the similarities in your story. I think it's easy to find a kinship with fellow gear heads. Fathers passing on their wisdom and bonding with their children through cars seems to be a timeless theme. There is another episode in the works about a couple who fell in love thanks to their shared passion for old hot rods. So even true love can be found through cars. I thoroughly enjoy finding out the different ways in which these "Dream Machines" bring people together. It's a heck of a lot more fun to bond over a car than a toaster :)
Hi Paul! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. It's great to meet a fellow "Bullitthead". Ford really nailed it with these cars. I live in the Midwest and it's looking like there may be an end to Winter in sight so I'm starting to get excited to get #0890 back on the road. I completely agree the Bullitt is a modern classic!
I couldn't agree more. How can anyone not like the Bullitt. It's just a cool car and really fun to drive. The 3:73 gears make it snappy and really fun off the line. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out the other videos!
The 300zx are really cool. I used to race those in the original Gran Turismo games back in the day. It's hard to believe that cars from the 90's are becoming collectable these days. How time flies. Thanks for the comment and stay tuned for new videos coming spring/summer of 2018.
Hi , very beautiful testimony about your Dad ( RIP) and very nice video about your Bullitt too , so u gave me more Mustang Bullitt " good virus" ;-) tomorrow morning I 've " Rendez-Vous " to test my future American dream ...a 2008 BULLITT Best Regards to you , to America , from a future Bullitt pilot over the seas ;-)
@@DreamMachinesvideoseries Hi Don ;-) Dream and reality now ! after Audi quattro, bmw530ia , mercedes V6 ...this Ford Mustang BULLITT V8 sound on turning roads is just Fabulous ! enjoy when i see faces of people in my mirrors YEAAAA because she is are very rare and exceptional car here in my country ! thanks Sir SteveMcQUEEN gave us Dreams car and motorcycles too, Thanks FORD Engineers ;-) Best Regards my friend Don over the seas where I'm PULLING THE TRIGGER ;-))
That car is absolutely gorgeous. I'm sorry your dad couldn't see it. Cars are about emotion, and passion.I have a regular GT 5.0 6-speed and it's just the feel of owning it, driving it, what it represents. Your year Mustang Bullitt is frankly one of the nicest Mustangs made, and looks to be a TON of fun.
@Jimmy870. Thank you Jimmy for the comment! You are spot on. Cars are all about the emotion and passion. They can represent memories, relationships and adventures. They can encapsulate so much. What year is your 5.0 GT? The performance pack that was put on the 2010-2013 GT's was basically the same set up as the 08-09 Bullitts. The Bullitt was like the engineers car that they learned from going forward. Frankly I love all Mustang's, but the Bullitt is one I plan to keep for as long as I can. Thanks so much for commenting and please stay tuned as we've got more videos in the works. Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you. :) My 5.0 is a 2016. I wanted a Mustang or a Camaro since I was maybe 13 years old. Throughout high school, college and beyond to my first jobs out of college I wanted one but could never afford it. I came from a non-car-enthusiast family who would tell me I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance or gas, and that it wouldn't be feasible. I always just admired the fun cars of others. When I was 28 in 2015 I had the financial means I walked into a Ford showroom and placed a factory order on a 2016 with the color and options I wanted; race red, black wheels, performance package 6-speed manual and 3.73 gears. I have the original order sheet, the window sticker, even the plastic airbag warning handtag and plastic piece that goes over the navigation screen somewhere. I picked it up on December 1 2015 (4 months or so after I ordered it) at the Ford showroom next to a Christmas tree they had up. A childhood dream come true.
That is absolutely awesome! I think you specked it out perfectly with the 6-speed and 3.73 gears. I bet that car is an absolute riot! Great color combination as well. Have you done any modifications yet?
Just the front license plate that mounts underneath the car so you don't have to drill the front bumper. No other mods. Want exhaust, something where the warranty is intact. After owning an unreliable car, want to keep this one reliable. In stock form it really moves. I gotta stop driving it to work though, gas in Vancouver, Canada is over 6$ a gallon (!!!!!) right now, and it sucks in traffic. Have a Corolla for that lol
Sometimes it's nice to appreciate things in their stock form. Plus modding a car to oblivion can get expensive in a hurry. I've got a couple mods on my Bullitt, but I don't want to modify away what makes it a special car. As for having a gas sipping daily driver... Sometimes it takes sacrifices, like driving a Toyota, to truly appreciate the dream lol.
From a guy who owns an 01 Bullitt and has also shot/edited a car web-series ("Star Cars")...Well done! You have a new subscriber. If you're ever in Los Angeles and want to feature an 01, hit me up. Look forward to seeing more.
Star Cars is fantastic! I absolutely love "The Homer" episode. I haven't made my way out to California yet, but it is one of my life goals to drive the Bullitt in San Fransisco. I think it would be super cool to feature an 01 and also a 68 at some point! Thank you for the support Brad and best of luck with your en-devours. You have a new subscriber as well.
What a great story and beautiful car, I'm also in the process of fulfilling my dream I like the old Shelby's specially the 65 GT350 but they are very expensive, So recently purchased a 07 GT500 white with blue stripes, Iconic car in my list.
Congratulations on your 06. That is incredible to hear you found one with such low miles. Awesome find! The S197 platform is such a great platform. The last of the old school Mustangs and a real performance bargain. Thank you for checking out the channel!
Thank you for the comment David! The car is currently tucked away in storage, but I can't wait to break her out in the spring. I'm a fool for living in the Midwest lol. Stay tuned for more vids this year. Thanks again for watching!
Thank you for watching Joe. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the support and be sure to check out my other videos. I hope you've got a sweet ride to enjoy as well.
Hi Johny Broadbelt. Thank you for your kind words! I'm grateful that you enjoyed. Be sure to check out the rest of my videos for other cool stories and motorsports content.
@@DreamMachinesvideoseries yes I do love my blue baby. Hard to find green so I went with my second favorite colors. These 4.6 are so much fun. They make good power when you do intake and exhaust.
@@generolmatt4 My Bullitt power-train is still stock other than some FR500S Mufflers. It makes 315hp on high test. It's plenty fun for the streets. The 4.6 3v sounds awesome too.
@@DreamMachinesvideoseries it’s funny that people now call these 3V cars slow AF. It’s definitely not a slow car and has plenty of power to get you in trouble! And it sounds better than the new ones because the engine has the same firing order as the old 5.0s.
Hi I thank you for sharing this wonderful story. Shit bro this is bringing me to tears. Proud owner of a 2008 #1117! I share a similar story with you. When these came out a guy like me could never afford one of these beautiful machines!! I told my dad what ever it took I would own one of these some day, we both laughed knowing Icouldn't!! Sadly he passed on Nov 19 2021 he passed a year before I was able to track down a black 2008 with just 56,000 miles!! I jumped on the opportunity to get one of these beautiful automobiles!! A classic I will keep until my dying day. Your story is epic and I can relate because I just about lived the same story just on different sides of the US!! Thanks for sharing this you made my fucking day bro👍
Thank you! I am hoping to make some more episodes this year. It's been a tough year with the pandemic, but I love telling these great stories. Thank you for checking out Dream Machines. Please spread the word :)
06' GT Red Fire had low miles garaged in Florida great deal! i pulled the trigger! and i'd do it again! I knew I wanted one for a long time and it's fulfilled every expectation and then some! Stock 300 hp 320 lb tq it's more than enough, don't let anyone tell you different! If you're reluctant to pull the trigger, do it, you'll just be pissed why you didn't try sooner!
It sounds like to got your Dream Machine as well. The Coyote Mustangs are proper fast, but I really love the 4.6 3v with 315hp in my Bullitt. It's still plenty of power and with 3:73 rear gears it's snappy off the line and just a really fun street car.
Hey thank you for the comment and for subscribing Ben! It's sweet to meet a fellow Bullitthead. It's about time to put my Bullitt in storage for the winter. I'll probably have withdrawals till April!
Hi Paul! I love meeting other Bullitt owners. I still have #0890 and plan to keep for a very long time. I just put it into winter storage for the season. Thank you for the comment and for watching.
Sorry for your loss. Great story and I love your awesome car. I didn't know about the exhaust, that it was designed to sound like the Bullet from the movie.
@2005GT Mustang. Thank you for comment and I appreciate your condolences. Judging by your screen name I take you must have an 05 GT? I still think Ford hit it out of the park with the styling of the 2005-2009 Mustangs. I'm biased of course. You might appreciate this article about the development of the Bullitt's exhaust system. www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/11/the-importance-of-the-vroom-vroom/382513/
Yes I do. It has about 63k miles on it and it's Windveil blue. No real upgrades, other than a Hurst short shifter, it's lowered, the battery has been relocated to the trunk; it's a lighter battery. It has 285, r18 on all 4 corners. It's a great car. I plan on upgrading the brakes over the winter, but I'm not sure how far I should go with that (maybe Wilwood). I also agree with you, Ford did well, and I knew this was the car for me. I've had it since 2007.
@@2011italianoboy Sounds like you got yourself a dream machine too! Windveil Blue is a great color and I like the mods you've done. Sounds like a really fun car!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I try to get a new video up every month, at the very least, usually by the third Saturday of the month. Episode three which will feature a 1965 Corvette and it's long time owner will be posted in a week or so. Definitely stay tuned as we are working on more episodes. Thank you for your support! Please thumbs up, share and subscribe.
I'm biased, but I agree. It's the truest to the original McQueen machine from the movie and even though it lacks the power of the newer models it is still a blast to drive on the street. Thanks for watching!
Loved your story Loved the movie Bullitt..I choose a 2008 Shelby GT #502 in vista blue,I was looking for a Bullitt when i found the Shelby at the time I only found black Bullitts for sale they were nice but I had to have the GREEN or as my New Granddaughter would say GEEEEEEEEEN...My shelby is going very custom so far its cammed has kooks long tubes 20" tires new old school C67 shelby rims.Borla exhaust ....Carbon fiber hood and other carbon pieces mirrors..mud flaps...rear deck etc.CYA on the road!!
Thank you for watching! The Shelby GT is a great car. Vista Blue is a gorgeous color. The Bullitt and the Shelby GT are actually pretty comparable in performance. I actually installed the Ford Performance handling pack on my car which is basically the same spring and shock set up as the Shelby. I would love to do a video on a Shelby GT since it's also a rare and collectable Mustang. What's the backstory on your car and what inspired you to get that particular car?
Thank you Troy! Just getting ready to pull her out of storage. That is, if it will stop snowing in Wisconsin already lol. Thank you for watching and commenting. Please stay tuned as there will be more videos in the future.
Hi Adrian. I wish I knew. I bought the car used and the previous owner had already installed the plaque. It's a very cool addition. It appears to be a custom made piece. The front is resin and it has 3m adhesive backing. It's temporarily secured with Velcro as not to mess up the awesome aluminum dash trim.
Great video, thank you for making it. Is that totally stock exhaust all the way through? It sounds fantastic. I have a Bullitt with Flowmaster Outlaw axle-back on it and its way too loud. I am thinking about getting the OEM Bullitt mufflers put on it. If it sounds anything like how it translates here, that would be perfect.
At the time of filming the exhaust on my car was 100% stock. In the video we miced up the exhaust with microphones on the bumper to capture the most clear sound possible. In the editing to make the video more visceral I overlayed the exhaust sounds captured from the exterior of the car with any of the driving shots. In reality when driving the car with the stock exhaust it is much quieter in the cabin. The stock exhaust sounds very good, however after having the car for a few years I wanted a bit more volume and purchased the Ford Racing FR500S axle back kit. This kit sounds fantastic and retains the stock look since the tips are identical. Maybe at some point I can mic up the car again to capture what the upgraded exhaust sounds like. I'm pretty sure that American Muscle or LMR have exhaust clips of the FR500S kit. It really sounds great and in my opinion is perfect volume level. No drone and you can hear it, but it's not overly loud in the cabin. I always drive around with my windows open because I love them so much. Hope that helps.
@@DreamMachinesvideoseries Thanks for the reply. I see you did some Hollywood magic there then, much like the original Bullitt :) I had my eye on the FR500S too, they sound great but can't find a set anywhere.
@@LyrionLee It's been a pain finding parts these days. Everything seems on back order. I hope things will get better soon. I would keep an eye on Craigslist or maybe even ebay. Sometimes people post lightly used or still in box parts they never put on there car. I know a buddy got a set of mint Bullitt brakes with the red calipers, still in the box for his new edge convertible. You never know, you might get lucky.
153k on mine, use it for my daily driver. I'm a medical courier. Just wish I had some extra money to do some repairs that I desperately need to do but other than that she treats me just fine
Thanks for the comment Viper Gamer! I'm still learning how youtube works, but hopefully with time and support from people like you the channel will find it's audience. More videos will be coming in Spring/Summer of 2018 so stay tuned.
Thank you for watching! I agree (though I'm a bit biased). The 2008 Bullitt really hit's the mark as far as being a tribute to the 68 GT 390. I think it's style will hold the test of time.
Dream Machines video series it’s funny. I watched Bullitt last weekend for the 10th time- I was just in the mood for it you know. Then I went to the gas station to fill up, and I see a brotha with a 2001 Mustang Bullitt. I had no idea they made them. So I go on UA-cam and see the latest one they’re coming out with, and your version. Man, I thought I knew cars.
When I bought my Bullitt the auto shop I had it inspected at had no clue what it was. The mechanic was like, "Is that an Irish car, it's so Green?". Once they got it on the lift and saw all the performance goodies underneath, suddenly the mechanic took it seriously. I had a hard time getting him out of the car after the test drive. I think it's cool that these cars are sleepers. I think the 08 is the best of the bunch, but the 2019 sure looks pretty and sounds good.
Dream Machines video series that’s it bro. The Bullitt is now my second favourite mustang, behind the 91 Cobra 5.0. All good bro. Nice vehicle, and I know you’ll take care of it 👍🏿✌🏿
Your like me me and my dad were in to cars to but he was a Chevy guy but I also have a Chevy too a 1969 elcamino SS 396 four speed but I love Ford's to I have a 2008 Bullitt #3824 Highland green and I love it it's so fun to drive
That's awesome! My Dad was a Chevy man too. I learned to drive in his 1995 Impala SS and I'm pretty sure that was the car that solidified my obsession with American Iron and V-8 engines. He also taught me stick on his 2006 2500HD 6-speed Silverado Diesel pickup. He was a true gear-head. He always said he'd rather I spend my money on car parts than drugs, so I guess it all worked out lol. Thank's for watching the videos. Definitely appreciate the comments as well.
@@DreamMachinesvideoseries Hay man it's Chad again I have put some more things on my Bullitt I added a Ford racing intake and a JLT air intake and Detroit Rocker cams and pypes long tube headers and a x pipe I left the stock mufflers it sounds great it's making 364 horse power to the back tires and 340 pounds of torque
@@chadrobinson500 Hey Chad! It's awesome to hear from you. Man that sounds like you've added some great mods. I've been on the fence with doing cams for a while. How do you like them? Have they changed your drivability at all? I would love to hear what your new set up sounds like. I bet it sounds mean as hell!
I'd like to drive one to find out! With the current chassis and tech I imagine the 2019 really drives amazingly well and probably has handling capabilities exceeding the limits of most drivers who would purchase them. I think the styling is definitely more modern, but defiantly cool. Maybe not as true to the 68 design as the 08-09, but I'm bias, and I love the 08-09 Bullitts and their retro styling. I also enjoy the more pure "old school" driving experience without all the tech and nannies. That said, I wouldn't complain having any model year of the Bullitt whether it's a 2001, 2008 or 2019. The holy grail for me of course would be a true movie car replica of the 1968 GT 390 built to the exact specs of Max Balchowsky and Steve McQueen.
Dream Machines video series - I fell in love with the styling and coolness of the 2008 Bullitt a few years ago. Steve McQueen was one of my favorite characters in the movies too. My dad had a 1966 Mustang which he later gave to me. So when I saw the 2019 Bullitt in the showroom I closely checked it out! It’s really special! Like no other Mustang. There’s a very cool factor I can’t explain except to say the plain simple lines of the car and the dark highland green with the tires and wheels all worked for me. The Q ball shifter and black leather interior with green stitching is great. But most of all, when you push the start button and hear that rumbling roar and exhaust note, it’s magic! It drives great with the Magneride option and the Audio uograde -B&O system is incredible. I didn’t get the Recaros because I like the power ventilated standard seats. Overall this car with the 2 options cost me $52k out the door! It’s more then a regular GT Mustang with the PP1 options. It has the look, power and soul of the Bullitt. It’s not the same as the more retro 2008 car, but it is very NICE! Please test one yourself and you’ll see! Your passion for this car is real and I understand how you feel. Great review. By the way, Revology manufactures a clone of the 1968 Car for $235,000. Check out their U tube video! So Ford hit it out of the park. Steeda makes a modified version of the 2019 car for $40k added mods plus the $50 for total of about $90+
Matt Maran bought one and has done several U tubes on this car and there are numerous videos praising it but you have to see it in person and drive it to fully get it.
Thank you!!! It's comments like these that help us to know we are on the right track with our videos. It's about the unique people as much as the cool rides :) Stay tuned in as we are working on more episodes.
I'd be hard-pressed to trade my 08 for a 19. I love the fact that it's still mostly analog (as far as modern cars go). I also prefer the styling of the 08 to the 19 as it's more retro. I'm sure the 19 is faster and probably a superior performance machine, but I think the 08 captures the spirit of the original better. Thank you for your comment and I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video. My best!
Very similar to the 07/08 Shelby GT. I think my 07 SGT has the best sound/ I think he used Borlas/ Yours is a very deep sound /NEVER SELL, EVER, I don't care about a baby , or dfown payment on a house. JUST KEEP IT!!. Per horse power , they are wicked fast, and my car is only 2nd and 3rd when I attract ""trigger moments" You may want to go for the shelbt 3.55 rear end- yeah it sopunds uniqiu
Thanks for watching Bret.Stang4.6. Since the filming a little over a year ago, the car has gotten the FR500 axle back exhaust. It sounds absolutely wicked. The chin spoiler is actually the California Special/Shelby GT front fascia. It was on the car when I bought it and I kind of like it. I've thought about getting the retro mirrors also. I plan to keep the car long term so I'll probably mod the car little by little over time. I love the car how it is so I'm not sure how far I'll take it. Only time will tell. I hope you are enjoying your Mustang as well. Love these cars :)
Dream Machines video series had no idea this was your Channel until after I posted and I noticed it wasn’t a chin spoiler either haha, but man I love my fr500s glad you went with them too instead adding some crappy flowmasters. Jealous of your car man wish a had Bullitt myself and I totally understand about keeping the car long term and I understand about not over doing it I literally would only add ford racing parts (performance wise) to it myself, idk I’m just weird that way because the car is special. Now for my car I don’t really give a damn what brand goes into it cause it’s just a premium GT and there’s thousands of them 😂. But I like to keep the old school look that’s why I don’t over do the exterior as you’ve probably seen, but I hope you enjoy your car too and thanks for the response man.
Fun FACT - the Bullitt mustang got its ass KICKED by the black dodge charger during filming ( couldn’t keep up despite having some mods vs the STOCK Charger) and scene had to be re shot to make it look like the Mustang was keeping up! #mopar
I'm glad someone caught the reference! Watching Dave and Sam fix stuff with my Dad back in the day on TNN was a Saturday morning institution! Thank's for subscribing Matthew!

Whaaaat. Should have looked more got min for 14 out the door with 32 k on it. Was a garage queen.
do you still have it?

I'm about 20mins from Kenosha where I believe the AMC plant used to be. Congratulations on achieving your dream. It's never too late to dream big ;)

To see someone enjoying it!! I had the front California bumper installed. I still have the aftermarket exhaust I had on it while I owned it. I have lots of pictures of #890 it even made it on a car calendar once. I bought it at Harvard ford and sold it back to them. Please contact me
Cool!
Amazing video! Hoping to pick up a 2008 Bullitt this year.
Thank you for the comment. Go for it! I'm biased, but the 2008 Bullitt is my favorite and it is a blast to drive.
Great story! I own a 2019 Bullitt, absolute beautiful car. 5200 miles, mint condition. Sunny day car for me. 😎
Awesome. A story by heart. Thank you Dan and best regards from Germany.
I too am a Huge Bullitt fan and have been fascinated with the original 68 and ,like you . I also went nuts when they brought out the 08 Bullitt. I couldn't afford one new ,but i always looked for them in the classifieds and dealers ever since then. but my budget very tight still but still hoping to keep the Dream alive that i will get one of my own some day but its very hard and i am 57 now
Love this, man! Way cool. These were Sick!
I now own a 2008 Bullitt and you made an excellent decision
Der beste Mustang aller Zeiten. Formvollendete Eleganz. Great!!!
2008 Bullitt # 3553, love this Mustang and get so many compliments! A modern classic.
Dein Bericht und deine Geschichte gefällt mir sehr gut, alles gut gemacht. Ich fahre selber einen Bullitt 2008 in Germany, Wiesbaden.

I couldn't agree more. How can anyone not like the Bullitt. It's just a cool car and really fun to drive. The 3:73 gears make it snappy and really fun off the line. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out the other videos!
These remind me of how I felt when I bought my 300zx.. Cars can be more than machines.
The 300zx are really cool. I used to race those in the original Gran Turismo games back in the day. It's hard to believe that cars from the 90's are becoming collectable these days. How time flies. Thanks for the comment and stay tuned for new videos coming spring/summer of 2018.

Congratulations on your 06. That is incredible to hear you found one with such low miles. Awesome find! The S197 platform is such a great platform. The last of the old school Mustangs and a real performance bargain. Thank you for checking out the channel!

Out of all of the mustang bullitt made and all the different 3V mustang there are the 2008 mustang bullitt had to be the best

Good looking car

Hi.. where did u get your dash plaque? Thanks
I see you did some Hollywood magic there then, much like the original Bullitt :)
I had my eye on the FR500S too, they sound great but can't find a set anywhere.
What a great video!! Not only of the story of the car but the story of your father

Best of them all bro. Mirrors the 1968 version.
Thank you for watching! I agree (though I'm a bit biased). The 2008 Bullitt really hit's the mark as far as being a tribute to the 68 GT 390. I think it's style will hold the test of time.
Dream Machines video series i
Dream Machines video series it’s funny.
I forgot to mention that I have a 1987 Thunderbird turbo coup it's fun too Bill Elliott will live forever
What your opinion on the new 2019 Bullitt?

I want this car lol
the 2008 Bullitt is so much nicer than the new one.
My best!
@@DreamMachinesvideoseries also the 08 has a much nicer sound .
3 things I would change to the car would 1) remove the chin spoiler 2) mmd retro mirrors and 3) fr500 exhaust
I just bought #1925

@@N-Scale Hi Mike , i drive mine 08 Bullitt named " Black Pearl "
now with my daughter Lisa ;-)
Best Regards over the seas
Fun FACT - the Bullitt mustang got its ass KICKED by the black dodge charger during filming ( couldn’t keep up despite having some mods vs the STOCK Charger) and scene had to be re shot to make it look like the Mustang was keeping up!
#mopar
Thats probably because the Dodge was 440 cubes vs Mustang's 390 cubes.
Shadetree mechanic ! TNN
I'm glad someone caught the reference! Watching Dave and Sam fix stuff with my Dad back in the day on TNN was a Saturday morning institution! Thank's for subscribing Matthew!
