I inherited a vintage 1972 pastalinda from my mother. I grew up in Argentina, watching her make pasta for the whole family on Sundays, and I helped her as a child. It is a robust machine, almost indestructible and very "mamma like" in terms of design. There is a new version, 260mm wide, which I have never used, but which looks very interesting, specially for making stuffed pasta and lasagnas. I hope to try it soon!
Love your videos! If you have a pasta machine with a leveling problem, try putting a tea towel under the base. You can fold it to adjust the thickness. Sometimes, you just gotta make it work.
I have an addiction! A pasta machine addiction! I have imperial, Marcato 2of them, a Marcato 180 and a 150, an Othelo, an antique one, a commercial extruder with brass dies and a commercial sheeter. I love making pasta and also collect all the gadgets. Nope don’t do this for a living, just make it to give to friends and family. I’m obsessed and maybe a little crazy!
Hi, Mateo, i'm fron Argentina and here is more common to have a home pasta and ravioli or sorrentino machine in the traditionals italian or spanish families. My granny maked every sunday the raviolis whith the raviolera (ravioli machine).
I got an Imperia years ago. The amount/ volume is limitless. For private purposes, you can prepare everything, you can get additional adapters for other cut pasta types and even ravioli maker. Mine has 6 thickness levels. And most important, a motor does exist... In the end its not much work, I love using it. Several times I was able to prepare the lasagne width, which is on the basic machine, but imagine the dough with a length of 3 m... I am not a professional 😂
I thinks it’s ok- I went trough so many of them.. we use to make so much pasta unfortunately you need to adjust settings after some time of using -( 0 becomes 1 etc ) If you don’t run pasta restaurant- get it
Thank you Mateo, I was using Marcato for many years, but later switched to Imperia. I feel Imperia a little more robust and heavy duty. However, marcato provides you with more settings, with Imperia I sometimes need thinner sfoglia for stuffed pasta. But… when I have time I use my mattarello 😂.
Hahah I loved the buildup of the story :) I think both machines are great to start with - if you making more there is not much choice - nearly all pasta machines are narrow - I think I need to start designing my own prototype 😂😂 thanks for love bro
I have another adventure. Recently I’ve purchased Brazilian-made machine “Botini Luxury Cylinder N.03”. The only reason is that I always wanted a wide roller. The only option would be either Marcato atlas 180 or Imperia Ristorante with 220 mm roller (quite pricey for home use). Botini is actually 300 mm rollers and very reasonably priced. However, it has a few design problems which could be solved if you have a handyman around. Love you videos, but waiting for long ones. Thanks again Mateo.
I was torn between getting Marcato or kitchenaid pasta attachments for my mixer, seeing them like this, I feel like it is more worth it, with the Marcato. On one side I want the 180 but the limited edition you got is so beautiful, I almost rather have it, so it can be valued when looking at it.
Great vid, but it seems like the atlas 150 on the site is not the same as the one you've demonstrated. The one in the video appears to be their heritage line, which is several times more expensive
😊 1st here.SHARE LIKE AND LOVE Guys ! Let's watch. I prefer Atlas 180. I have kitchenaid but find it wanting.PastaLinda would have been nice but too awkward for me.(Except for the name because its my first name!😅 Aure means light.) Thanks for confirming my choice was on par.Coming from an expert it is a great to know. You're a 🌟
My grandparents gave me the Atlas 150 when I was 14 years old back in 1982. I think I'm going to need to replace it but hate to get rid of the one I have for sentimental reasons. It has served me well all these years
I simply love your videos. Grazie per la tua competenza.
Grazie mile x

Absolutely ! I have this machine now for 7 years - still going strong ! Thank you so much for message x
Thank you! I've been looking at the kitchen aid, since we do a lot of baking. You've sold me on it now! Cheers!
Hope you like it! Xx

❤️🍝
I gave the limited edition marcato to my parents, because the kitchenaid attachment is just too good.
❤️❤️❤️

They are all good x depends what you looking for :))
Great comparison. Thank you.
What do you think of the 220mm Imperia Restaurant model?

Love the video!
Do you know where i can find a machine with a bigger width? I would like something like 10 o more inches
Hmm you can try PASTA Linda or arcobaleno pasta
Excelente review! And what about marcato 180? Do you recomend this machina?
Yes, definitely it’s 1 inch/2.5cm wider which is lovely x comes only in stainless steel but that’s ok :) well priced. Will last you for years

Defo check Marcato atlas 180 - it’s wider by 1 inch/2.5 cm and it’s well priced. Otello looks beautiful but expensive x thank you for message
@@mateo.zielonka Those two things are what conflicts me, I would have been all-in on a 180 Otello in those colors😍
@@DMminion101unfortunately otello is 15cm only :) anyway good luck xx
@@mateo.zielonka Ontello drags on me.

What about the Phillips 7000?
Never tried need to admit
