@@Даниил-з4ь4фit wouldn't suprise me, if enhancements weren't a thing. Games will probably just run with no more stutters and at full resolution at all times.
Dude, RGT, enough with the whole "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 60 million copies and they like making money, so I wouldn't be surprised if they rerelease it again at full price." The only reason they ported any of the Wii U games was because the Wii U sold fewer than 14 million consoles, so they wanted to bring those games forward to a bigger audience, and since the media format changed from optical dics to flash memory cards they had to do rereleases. This time there won't be any major change in media format, it will almost certainly be just like going from DS to 3DS. Very similar systems, similar screens, similar game cards (not like GBA games), etc. And they don't need separate upgraded versions, just like a PC game from 2011 runs better on a new PC than it did when it was first released. Just running Switch games on the new hardware as they are will make them run smoother as far as frame rates and resolution. They could have other improvements like better textures or lighting for an extra upgrade charge, but the base games should still run better as they are. I just want full 1080P and 30fps locked minimum and I'm happy.
Why are there people worried about physical BC? If Switch 2 was digital BC only, then Nintendo would've said that. The biggest reason they announced backwards compatible is because they want to encourage us to buy Nintendo games for this holdiay season.
That will actually be completely fun if the Switch 2 itself had both all physical BC and downloadable BC games and even all BC features (like returns of internet multiplayer for GCN, DS, Wii, 3DS, Wii U and Switch 1 and that, Miis, Miiverse, motion controls, StreetPass, spot pass, wiiconect24 and Nintendo Network profile support return and that).

I thought so many games having performance issues we'd see a backwards compatibility system. It also opens the library up on the new system at launch as well as gives the potential for a big master mode Zelda update. We saw this on 64 when Majora dropped and required a booster to play it.
I really hope we get a performance boost in original Switch games. The only issue is that I don’t expect every game to get a performance boost unless they’re willing to patch it. I expect some games we get in the future before the Switch 2 is released, like Metroid Prime 4, will unlock visual enhancements that the first Switch isn’t capable of.

I'd put good money that its release will coincide with the Switch successor's release. Expect to hear more about both in January.
The Xenoblade 2 disrespect man. That game is so freaking good. Looks amazing docked. In handheld it was ok but not NEARLY as bad as Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. And I loved that one too man. Frames and performance doesn't bother me so much unless I was competing online or in a game where it requires it to perform better.

You know that scene in Batman Returns when the Batsignal lights up wayne manor and Bruce is just sitting in darkness waiting? RGT is the same but with a Mario silhouette.
Most Switch games use dynamic resolutions and framerates (aka unlocked), because they have to be for the dock, but some are locked strangely at 30FPS in both undocked/docked mode, like Sonic X Shadows Generations, even though it runs fine @ 60FPS when modified with a patch to run @ 60FPS. But this means that NS2 software will run @ higher framerates without being modified, so it will be a retroactive upgrade for most NS1 games. Canny wait to play BOTW @ 1440p 120Hz, I really hope the screen is 120Hz OLED too, even better, 120Hz Tandem-OLED, a clever new feature too would be to sync the EShop with your iPad or tablet, along with a much better search and organized layout, even downloading the games on the iPad and then sending them over to the NS2 when complete, also enabling you to store and downloaded games on your iPad that can be sent over whenever you want, this would save NS2 RAM resources so games run faster and smoother after browsing and using Eshop, as well as the NS2 storage space would be saved, and you wouldn't have to keep deleting software all the time to fit new games on the Switch 2 NAND or SD storage.

Not a big surprise there. Mario Kart 8 is still selling like crazy. Some Switch games have evergreen sales, and they want to make sure those games keep selling in the next system, and the only way to achieve that is making the successor backwards compatible. The Switch has such a huge library, and it would be a shame for these games to just die with the current Switch.

That’s not surprising to see however it’s nice to have confirmation. The biggest question for me is what games will actually be available to play on this new system 🤔🤔🤔 because that will be the deciding factor for this pirate on weather I get the new system or not. Also really depends or if any of the older games will get a benefit from running on the newer system? From a business standpoint it makes sense to require people to rebuy the games if they want better performance. However we will see what happens I personally will need a good incentive to get me to buy the new system/ games…… more then is currently on the table at least Thanks for the video
Friggin Nintendo. We all assumed this but they were dangling the direct verbiage and making AN ACTUAL DIRECT STATEMENT about it WHICH THEY COULD HAVE DONE YEARS AGO and dropped it now. And in doing so they just ensured that they will be selling more Switch games this holiday and beyond the launch of the Switch 2. But what if the Switch 2 dock is compatible with Switch 1 and bring better performance in TV mode only? Remember they introduced into the current Switch and option that TO THIS DAY has not been used: The "upgrade firmware of dock" feature. We all assumed it would be for the long since cancelled Switch 2; but what if Nintendo SELLS US the Switch 2 Dock in January or in time for the holidays of THIS YEAR and it makes all current Switch games run a stable 60fps (and that's it) in TV mode? They could sell the dock now for $100 and then when the Switch 2 is ready; they can sell them without the dock for $300 along side the $400 dock bundle; but ONLY THE SWITCH 2 will be able to play Switch 1 games in 60fps in handheld mode AND utilize DLSS in docked mode? That would be brilliant. Also I am fairly certain that after the launch of the Switch 2; there will be one last variant of the current Switch that will be smaller than the Switch lite and have better battery life for real pocketablity. In terms of NSO and a featuer they cloud "launch" with the Switch 2 (and also Switch 1); is the "buy game" option.

2 Switch 2 videos in one day? RGT is feeding us good
That’s not surprising to see however it’s nice to have confirmation.
However we will see what happens
I personally will need a good incentive to get me to buy the new system/ games…… more then is currently on the table at least
Thanks for the video
Thank you for sharing this news, King of Nintendo UA-camrs! ❤
Well that just confirms my purchase of this console. Thank you, Nintendo!
This is great news. Can't wait to pick up the Switch 2 Pro six+ years after launch of the original Switch 2.
Console cycles used to be 5 years but sadly extended it.
‘Here we go’ is the exact sentiment I have with Switch 2 anything
The joycon charger confirms to me that its also going to be compatible with the joycon. Good thing too.
Have 200+ games for switch. Will be preordering the system
Will the new system's cartridges taste worse, though?
So the new switch is basically a performance upgrade
Which is perfect as it’s exactly what I want,I love the switch as it is already.
I mean isn't the ps5 a performance upgrade aswell? Lol
@ meaning same architecture just better hardware.
As long as we get 60fps I'm happy
These are the best news I've gotten today as of 9PM EST lol
YES I CAN STILL PLAY SMASHY BROS ULTIMATE ON THE NEW CONSOLE LETS GOOOO
Let’s go the news that I expected and is reasonable this point.
Rgt you know what this means. The mgs master collection will be saved and playable portable
Smart to announce this well before the launch so people don't have to hold back buying switch games since they will work on the next system.
Yes they should fix the E shop
I think some people been not buying Switch games as of late, fearing the lack of backwards compatibility 😂
I'm calling it now. Switch the successor announcement will be at the game awards. Bet that!
No joke, I probably wouldn't buy the new console if it didn't have backwards compatibility
What great news. Everything is coming up wonderful in the news. YAY!
But will cartridges be backward compatible?
Why wouldn't they??? Why are people even suggesting that???
