- Does the Channel Islands 2.PRO work for the average Joe, or just Italo? In this board review I put it underneath the feet of an everyday surf (me), and take it out into some everyday conditions to see how it performs. Is this the right high performance shortboard for you...I think it very well could be.

Awesome, sounds like you might be adding this to your quiver 🤙🏽
Yes for sure, just need some good waves now!
❤
You should give the Js xero gravity a go! The board goes unreal for me. 1 - 6ft +. Only board I’m riding atm. Really a magic one board quiver!
Thanks Jonas, I would love to get one in their carbon tech, they look unreal. You may have just convinced me!
How does it compare to the fever?
Similar actually, this might be slightly more high performance in design.
Honestly the only reason why theses boards are the way they are is mostly visual aesthetics the judges like at wsl level. And they're great in high quality waves but there are boards that would go as good and better that'll never get into stab in the dark competition. After getting off these style of boards I'll never buy another one. I've got 2 travel boards that are so called high performance short boards that are still as good as any of the newer ones. Look at Dhd they are all still riding essentially the same board Mick rode in competition.
They are more performance based, longer and narrower. Also helps create a good style, most people I see on shorter wider boards look way worse compared to someone riding a board like their height at point breaks
True, very few surfers really need one of these in their quiver.
