Yay! Kitchen Ace from Doom 1 is back! Also, LOL at the kindness that the Cacodemon showed in killing the Shotgunner for you. What a nice red tomato! :D Also, whoa! You nearly died twice in that caged area, but you still made it through. Ass Souls and Pain-in-the-Ass Elementals galore. Anyways, not much to say about it, but nice vid.
Yeah can't quite understand whether he's saying "monkey bar "or "munchy bar", spose it could be anything really esp if he's partaken of too many lost souls in his diet plan!!! 🎉❤😂😂😂
Very nice vid, man. I too start the map in the exact same way - with the possible difference that I - more often than not - somehow manage to induce more monster in-fighting while running towards a hiding place. But then again, I like doing that a lot xD Also, this was probably the first map where I started to get the "feeling" of Plutonia, and thus I thought it wouldn't be that hard from this map on... silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids.
For that area behind the yellow key door, all you need to do is kill the chaingunners from the entrance and, once done, re-open the yellow door from outside, run straight ahead to the switch that reveals the four baron of hells and two imps and run backwards out the door before it closes. :)
Happy late 14th birthday PlumBrendan69. The start area with 4 teleporters remind me of the Saffron City Gym in the Pokemon Game. You almost died a few times, luckily you're 20% cooler that way, lol. The exit is the answer to why it's called CAGED, you're caged like a bird. Good job Jeff sir, way to go.
9:30 - I keep forgetting how to unlock that teleporter. I don't know what triggers it. I mean what triggers the wall to come down because it starts out blocked.
The part when the Cacodemon killed the Shotgunner reminded me in map 32 of TNT Evilution when the demons killed the Mancubus. Another of those "Hey... I want to kill the Doomguy/BigMacDavis" moments. ^^
The room were you get the yellow key card....drop down into the slim and there’s a switch adjacent from the teleporter..hit it and that will open the secret teleporter for the soulsphere..
Guillaume Perez I just figured it out...if you ever play this map again....the room where you get the yellow key card..drop into the slime stuff and hit the switch at the bottom adjacent from the teleporter..that switch will open up the secret teleporter for the soulphere...I google it and it worked..figured I’d let you know bud
6:27 I can't get the plasma rifle. I get teleported when I hop onto the second pillar. I rely on the plasma rifle. Hopefully I'll get one in the next level.
How many times did you have to do this map over? I had to do it so many times... I like how you have the option of leaving with almost 200% health and armor. Health isn't nearly as sparse as it was in the map before. Still didn't keep me alive. :P
I will have to try this with Doom guy again sometime, since it got me so frustrated so I used Treasure Tech 1.2 mod and it made it so much more fun and was able to finish it, now I know the enemy spawns and can now activate IDDT so I will be ready next time
Caged, by Dario. Is very similar to a map from Doom II i like very much, map 26 "The Abandoned Mines". And, don't be like Big Mac, the Casalis love to make the monster appearing right behind you kind of trap :D
There are 20% damaging floors but they are rare. Even if you have a radiation suit on, sometimes the 20% damaging floors will leak and you will still take damage for one second.
there was one time I remember I may have died instantly on snes's doom i in e3m3+ somewhere. Not sure if it was meant to in one second or just a glitch
That area around 8:40 can be very difficult if you don't flip both switches. It's an area I remember reloading a save at least 5 or 6 times before I made it through alive.
I enjoy getting the enemies to kick each others butt.... saves ammo 😝😆 But, tricky to utilize the lost souls to do your bidding, like a 'buddy'..... but, they bite alot. 😉😉😝🤣
Oh yeah this map is very tricky especially the start and about that Plasma Rifl secret I just leave it for the end after I grabe the Radiation suite that you can your time killing the specturs and worrying to much about your Health
it's called "Tnt Evilution" and i enjoyed Tnt evilution more than Plutonia experiment because Plutonia is for Mastred players only and some of the maps in it Requires alot of fast paced movments like map 21 and 27 wich is something i'm not good at i just want to for fun
No, it is not timed, although in a recent stream of this map, it was also closed for me. I had to reload a save. I wonder if it's a modern source port issue.
@ maybe, idk. I’ve been playing on ps4 because my laptop broke awhile back, but you play through GZDoom, right? Maybe just more than one port is like this, or it’s an issue with the original game then?
@@BigMacDavis no, just Doom II. There’s a bunch of level sets (weird that you don’t call them WADs because that’s what I always thought they were called) that you can use if you get yourself a Bethesda account. You install whichever one you want, install it, then toggle and apply it when you want to play that level sets. It acts goofy sometimes and they tell you to expect that. I have accessed that teleporter before on this, so it has to be a glitch, if there’s no timer like you said
Shit, as soon as i hit that switch: I went down the intersection, hooked next left: went downstairs, waxed 2 revenants, turned around blasted ALL spawned Caco’s. The rest was history, for them.. Muwahahaha!
Honestly the one thing I hate about Plutonia experiment is that it uses the brown colours and the mody textures alot wich can make it boring and monotonous but there's no doubt that it's level Design is far perfect from all Doom games Tnt on the other hand had some impressive and Beautiful visuals and textures but had alot of flaws in the Level Design
the gameplay videos i've seen on UA-cam looks fun, but the reviews for the actual game itself is pretty much mixed-to-negative. but I still think that "AvP 2010" is the better game between the two
This map is awful and just unpleasant. The teleporters and the switches are a mess here to understand and you have the stupid damaging floor everywhere. Lots of tedious parts where you just slowly have to kill off enemies one by one too. And it's just ugly too, nothing interesting to look at. What were they thinking designing this? Was the whole point making it as frustrating as possible? One of the worst maps of all the official Doom maps.
From looking at videos, Plutonia overall design looks so unnapealing. So many same looking walls repeated at nauseum. Brown, brown everywhere. If there's a game that can cure deseases, that wad on the contrary will give you a depression.
@@saaaaaaaaadasda I actually like most of Plutonia maps. Some of them are too boring visually, I admit. But the layouts are pretty well designed I think. Usually I don't dislike Plutonia maps as whole, but this one sucks in particular. What were they thinking?! But I get what you're saying about the plain visuals. I think TNT Evilution was better in that regard. They experimented with some unique styles. A very memorable level to me for example looked like it was an office with desks. I enjoyed that, but TNT Evilution had its own problems too.
7 years later and still watching your videos i enjoy them all! hopefully you continue doom 3 soon! hope all is well!
Same here!!! :D
Yeah, the infighting mechanic is usually hilarious. The one from Doom 2 when you can pit the Cyberdemon with the Spider Mastermind stands out for me
I think its hilarious when you whittle the health of a baron down then he infights with an imp, and dies lmao
Thanks for making the Plutonia walk through I would be raging so much lol
Your videos are so helpful BigMac. Also big entertainment value. Love Doom so much!
2 things
1: Happy belated 20th to PlumBrendan69
2: Wonder what the 2 year anniversary thing was. Couldn’t find it in the video list.
Really got caged here! Hiding is really the best thing to do here!
I liked the part when the Cacodemon helped you kill the Shotgunner near the start!

Omg this looks so hard for a map 4
Plutonia is hard.
Map 3 is much harder than 4
The trick is to know where everybody is at. Plutonia likes to spring a lot of baddies on an unawares you, apparently. :P

Nah. Screw the cacks. If it ran away afterwards, then ok. BUT...it attacked instead. So it can die.
Oh God, this map is hard! Thank God they give you a super charge.
Yeah, Plutonia is filled with evil maps like these.
Don't remember a supercharge. But we do get a soul sphere

It is kinda a crapshoot whether you get that one or not. Just keep trying, and eventually you do.
That's because there's a teleporter below that you activate when you pass over it. You need to turn slightly sooner to avoid it.
So the pain elementals like to back up? "Back that ass up??"
