Ilyasova, while not not a great player, is a worthy starter and the perfect fit alongside Steven Adams as a rangey big who also wasn't afraid to hustle, and Oladipo plugged the hole OKC had at SG since Harden left. After that trade, OKC had arguably the best starting 5 (and a solid bench too) in the NBA and were favourites to win the championship after being up 3-1 in the WCF and then improving their team. KD was already in the best scenario to get a championship - all he did was increase his percentage. Going from being the favourite to being the much more guaranteed favourite is a stupid move because it has tarnished his legacy and like you said yourself, sports fans don't get over shit. If KD had won with OKC, he wouldn't have a single hater. Winning with GSW, people barely acknowledge his chip and half the NBA fans in the world can't stand him.
