This video was a huge help! I have purchased all the tools, paint etc. and started to practice using white copy paper and was very discouraged. Thanks for the cereal box tip, I’m sure it will help! I subscribed a few weeks ago, really enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise!
I've started mandala painting and stumbled upon your video. This was a great help! Five very helpful tips that I will use while practicing this art form. Thanks so much!!
Here is my handy hint - If you are a bit shaky handed, or clumsy (like me), let each round of dots dry before going on to the next colour. You could work on a few projects at once, so you can keep dotting as stuff is drying. For big projects, you may find that the start of a round of dots have dried by the time you come back around to them anyway!
@@KraftariabySarika for fevicryl acrylic paints which pouring medium brand u suggest? And few paints have got completely dried.. will pouring medium still work on them???
Thank you so much. Just today I decided this would be something I could learn and do. But I don't have much to spend. Your tips just make sense to me and it is true you only need some of the tools. I will check your videos on that. I did a lot of colouring mandalas but am left, after brilliant colouring etc, with just pretty coloured paper on black lines. I am thinking once I learn the skill, to do a take on a 1965 painting of sunrise by Joe Parker the great visionary artist. Again, thanks.
Just learning, have lots of paint but worry about my hand tremors. Beginner also of regular acrylic painting and painting pouring also. I really am attract to dot painting for meditation value.
Hey … i am doing on wood plate …basecoat always use black colour…when i am doing it …it looks beautiful but after when it gets dry… my colour of dots looks like absorbs in wood or it smudged or fed up..I don’t knw why… i am using right consistency of it that i am definitely sure …can you guide me please?
@@mansipatel3864 Have you tried using a multi purpose sealer first or mixed in with your base coat, check out Deco Art Multi purpose sealer. Alternatively I use a multi surface paint as my base color. If you are using a seasoned hard wood, it shouldn't need sealing. Soft woods, it would pay to seal. Just like some vloggers now seal their rocks with resin first to give them a smoother surface. After you complete your project and drying it completely, are you sealing your work? There are so many wonderful You Tube Vloggers who are extremely talented Dot Artist, to learn from.
@@KraftariabySarika If this was addressed too me, I personally only use You Tube. Social Media is far too disruptive and I feel a huge reason for the psychological issues of many today, especially in our younger generations.

Thanks for the tips and wonderful to hear you mention heartfullness meditation. I've been practicing it for a few years now. It's been a great form of therapy.
Thank you. Your voice is so relaxing and your information is so informative. Just bought a dot making kit on Amazon and want to do it as a hobby for fun and relaxation. Appreciate your videos.
I've had a very disappointing experience with my dotting. Your beginners guide has been invaluable. My paint consistency is my biggest problem. Paint too thick or too thin. Did you use talcum powder to thicken paint?
Sorry to hear that my tips are invaluable. I think the key is to keep practising and not giving up. I’ve learnt everything by experimenting and keep doing what I love to do. I hope you will get success one day. 👍🏻

Very nice video ma'am. Can you guide which paints to use for dot mandala. I want to start dot mandala but not sure about paints. Please guide. Thank you
My big problem with my dot art is that spacing is an issue. Things are not coming out evenly so I end up with a gap between two dots too often that makes everything look unbalanced. How do I fix my issue with spacing?
I don’t use chalk paints for dot painting as they don’t have shine and their texture is not suitable for dot painting. You can try if you like it you can use it.
You can start with homemade dotting tools also until you buy new. In this video I have shown how to make homemade dotting toolsua-cam.com/video/cq9oI4LNH-g/v-deo.html

Can i use Chalk paint fot mandala art ? On wood & earthen pots? Or should i go for acrylic only?
I don’t use chalk paints for dot painting as they don’t have shine and their texture is not suitable for dot painting. You can try if you like it you can use it.
How do you make smaller dots with the same tool? What is the technique?
