No, Both anti-venoms have the same powers, insomniac's anti-venom hasn't shown any of the same abilities of Mr.Negative. Although the anti-venom suit in insomniac's universe is made from peters white blood cells and pieces of the symbiote so for the same reason peters spider sense doesn't activate with venom or any of his offspring it won't take peters powers and that's because peters body refuses to register itself as a threat and therefore anti-venom won't.
Anti venoms comic origins is the exact same as the games except it's not Spider-Man that has it it's Eddie Brock. So yes the comics version does still have Mr Negative imbuing the venom symbiote in Eddie's body.
People are being way too comic accurate with the Anti Venom suit like the entire game didn't take so many liberties with its story: Harry was Venom and Agent Venom with the span of a few days The Sinister 6 was killed off by Kraven (a few of its members, at least) Miles helping Peter removing the black suit. Hell, Miles even being a part of this story The symbiote not being weak to fire Peter getting the Anti Venom suit Anti Venom being a completely different entity from actual Venom Eddie Brock isn't even hinted at Norman is actually a good dad and cares about Harry rather than treating him like garbage... All those changes, but God fucking forbid the thought that the Anti Venom suit operates any bit differently than the comics do
In case you're not aware, the symbiote can't heal, it only hurts symbiotes. Its a different iteration of anti venom also its bonded to his blood so it listens to him, and Peter doesn't want his powers gone and in fact wants the opposite, he wants his power to be stronger to be able to protect the city better.

@@aidna042 To take away Peter's powers it'd need to be able to heal which would ruin the ending of the 2nd game because if it could do that then why didn't it heal Harry? Also the anti venom only removed Peter's powers since it wasn't bonded to him and since it was bonded to him in the 2nd game, it wouldn't make sense for it to self harm itself since the Anti-Venom is a mix of Peter and Venom.
Even if he "looses his powers" to anti venom, it doesn't matter because it copied his powers. And he'll die without it because it's his white blood cells, so he will still have powers until he dies.

It’s a genetic mutation it would probably remove the radioactivity from his body but his genes would always be whatever they were mutated jnto by the radioactivity because that’s not necessarily damage.

If Anti-Venom would be able to remove Peter’s Spider powers, it would’ve done it already. Also, it can’t. This Anti-Venom isn’t sentient like Venom himself. Li’s negative powers made sure of that.
From what we see Insomniac doesn't do that and seems to be exclusively towards other symbiotes because Mr. Negatives powers have an effect on symbiotes. Not to mention that Peter seemingly has full control on when the Anti Venom goes to cure something, we see in the Venom fight that Peter has to activate it to breaks down the symbiote through touch. There isn't any implications of Anti Venom taking away Peters powers and only talks about how it amps him just like the Venom symbiote. Insomniac most certainly gave Peter Anti Venom to keep him relevant to Miles and giving him a permanent upgrade instead of making the symbiote powers only temporary whilst Miles gets a permanent upgrade with blue bio electricity. So in comes the one symbiote that's solely just a tool and doesn't have the potential of turning against the host, Peter still can use the powers freely. So yeah I doubt Insomniac will make it the case that Anti Venom takes away Peters powers especially when he's essentially permanently bonded to it, like they had Venom actually fire resistance or proof instead of weak to fire.
Would love to see this as the B plot in Spider-Man 3. where Peter slowly loses his powers throughout the game, causing him to fully retire or die at the end.

I want to remind people that just because that was how it was in the comics that doesn't necessarily mean it's the same. It's like the Symbiote weakness. Bryan has already said that their Symbiote is weak to only loud sounds. They even made it clear that the Symbiote is fire-proof in their version. So while we know more about the Anti-Venom from the comics, we know nothing about Insomniac's version of the Anti-Venom.

I kinda feel like since they got rid of the symbiotes' weakness to fire in the insomniac spiderverse, they might do the same and make it to where he won't lose his powers due to the symbiote

Speculation, but i think when th anti venom suit was created, it automatically cured peter of all his "afflictions", including his powers. He officially doesn't have them without the suit. In a last ditch effort, he will find a way to detach the anti venom suit from himself and give it to harry, saving his life, but losing his ability to be spider man. However this one of the more brainy version of peter weve seen. He could probably use his tech to cut the difference.

He lost his girlfriend, his house, his aunt, and now he's at risk of losing his best friend. As we carry on, we're finding more and more people who can receive the weight to fill in where he can't. He's earned the right to show he can help as Peter Parker, and again, even if he did lose his powers, the gadgets he's capable of creating in this game could probably more than make up for the loss of he stepped back into the field. True, but mostly like not for 2 reasons 1. The Anti-Venom was generated by Li’s Energy and His Anti-Bodies so theoretically he can’t lose his powers if the radiation of his spider Powers affected his anti bodies as well. 2. His Radiation of the Spider Bite affected his entire body including the anti venom since it affected the anti bodies of Peter

probably cuz Peter kept mentioning that miles is. enough for the city and at the end of the game miles told Peter to go be Peter for a while, that is a reference to make spiderman miles morales 2
Peter may lose his powers, but he did save Harry’s life. I think if Insomniac goes with that route for the 3rd game, I can totally see Peter being happy about no longer being spider-man, finally being able to lead a normal life with MJ, he passed the mantle of New York’s one and only spider-man to Miles, and he saved the life of his best friend in the process.

As far as I am aware, the anti venom suit cannot be removed from the user like a regular symbiote, so even if it cures him I’m guessing it could replicate the powers, regardless I would really love to see what this suit could do for him
Answer: no The symbiote, anti-venom or venom, will always look for key components of its host and will learn about it. Evidence states that when Harry got the suit and used it to help protect the city, the symbiote knew Harry was just a regular human, incapable of complex capabilities, which is why he gets bulky armor. Whilst with Peter, it suits him as there is not much armor, knowing he is agile and can comprehend things more complexly. Anti-venom also gave Peter the sleek and smooth suit for him as well.
Insomniac isn’t going for a more canon approach they putting they’re own spin to it . They made venom immune to fire so in the game maybe the anti venom suit isn’t the same as in the comics

My guy, we've only seen it affect other Symbiotes in this universe. Yes, it's Anti-Venom, yes, it acts as an antidote, but no, it's not the same here. In this case, it's LITERALLY just the Venom Symbiote on Pete, but he's in control and it's stronger. That's as far as it goes for Pete. For the Symbiotes? Yeah, that's when the healing capabilities take effect.
in the games he won't because (like every other game studio) Insomniac wants money, and they already have a cliffhanger ready for another sequel to spiderman 2, and because they want money, they will make more games, and to do that they need the spider men, and to have them, they need their powers. Conclusion: They want money = they will make more games = spiderman keeps powers
I can't imagine so as exposure to radiation is irreversible and it is a part of his white bloods cells therefore is a part of him and should not be attacked, if antivenom is a being like venom which has it's own personality and human like features peter could even subconsciously tell the symbiote of his powers and stop antivenom from trying to "cure" it.
He wouldn't lose his powers if he's wearing the Anti-Venom suit because it doesn't have a mind of its own. Making the symbiote 100% obedient to the host, unlike Venom. So since Spider-man doesn't want to remove his powers, it won't remove his powers.
Anti Venom in the comics actively chooses to cure diseases iirc. Idk if I'm thinking of Toxin or whatnot, but Anti Venom hates symbiotes and harmful disease, not all diseases.
Honestly I doubt it because what we know it's like a lobotomized venom, as Pete put it "all the strength none of the voices" where as antivenom in the comics is aggressive and angry like venom but hell bent on purifying everything. It depends on the source of his powers. Shattered dimensions explains it pretty good with Classic Spidey vs 2099 fighting Anti Venom. If the powers come from radiation like Classic Spideys anti venom can cure it. If its genetic like 2099 then Anti Venom can't cure it.

It's like the Symbiote weakness. Bryan has already said that their Symbiote is weak to only loud sounds. They even made it clear that the Symbiote is fire-proof in their version. So while we know more about the Anti-Venom from the comics, we know nothing about Insomniac's version of the Anti-Venom.
They did not make this symbiote fire-proof. Literally him walking through fire was just a cutscene made to make him look cool

Honestly given how they changed some stuff about the symbiote they'll probably make something up like it won't try to heal peter or it doesn't have healing capabilities anymore. Or it'll fade over time
Speculation, but i think when th anti venom suit was created, it automatically cured peter of all his "afflictions", including his powers. He officially doesn't have them without the suit. In a last ditch effort, he will find a way to detach the anti venom suit from himself and give it to harry, saving his life, but losing his ability to be spider man. However this one of the more brainy version of peter weve seen. He could probably use his tech to cut the difference.
It would suck to take away power from such a iconic character though, if they ever do that fans would frame Sony up as the "wokest" company ever lmao, for putting miles Infront and disrespecting spider man to the max

He lost his girlfriend, his house, his aunt, and now he's at risk of losing his best friend. As we carry on, we're finding more and more people who can receive the weight to fill in where he can't. He's earned the right to show he can help as Peter Parker, and again, even if he did lose his powers, the gadgets he's capable of creating in this game could probably more than make up for the loss of he stepped back into the field. A recent manga showcased just how well a powerless man can work as Spider-Man.

True, but mostly like not for 2 reasons
1. The Anti-Venom was generated by Li’s Energy and His Anti-Bodies so theoretically he can’t lose his powers if the radiation of his spider Powers affected his anti bodies as well.
2. His Radiation of the Spider Bite affected his entire body including the anti venom since it affected the anti bodies of Peter
Remember the anti venom suit is in full control of the host so Peter would actively have to give the task to the suit for it to carry it out

Peter may lose his powers, but he did save Harry’s life. I think if Insomniac goes with that route for the 3rd game, I can totally see Peter being happy about no longer being spider-man, finally being able to lead a normal life with MJ, he passed the mantle of New York’s one and only spider-man to Miles, and he saved the life of his best friend in the process.

Sure, maybe, but even if so; the Antivenom symbiote is still part of him, meaning he can still use the abilities provided to him by the symbiote.
This would push miles to become the main spiderman however Peter fighting Norman is inevitable

As far as I am aware, the anti venom suit cannot be removed from the user like a regular symbiote, so even if it cures him I’m guessing it could replicate the powers, regardless I would really love to see what this suit could do for him

Evidence states that when Harry got the suit and used it to help protect the city, the symbiote knew Harry was just a regular human, incapable of complex capabilities, which is why he gets bulky armor. Whilst with Peter, it suits him as there is not much armor, knowing he is agile and can comprehend things more complexly. Anti-venom also gave Peter the sleek and smooth suit for him as well.
It's take an amount of time for the Anti-Venom symbiote to purify Peter's spider powers if he's use the mutated symbiote.

My guy, we've only seen it affect other Symbiotes in this universe. Yes, it's Anti-Venom, yes, it acts as an antidote, but no, it's not the same here. In this case, it's LITERALLY just the Venom Symbiote on Pete, but he's in control and it's stronger. That's as far as it goes for Pete. For the Symbiotes? Yeah, that's when the healing capabilities take effect.

I can't imagine so as exposure to radiation is irreversible and it is a part of his white bloods cells therefore is a part of him and should not be attacked, if antivenom is a being like venom which has it's own personality and human like features peter could even subconsciously tell the symbiote of his powers and stop antivenom from trying to "cure" it.
He wouldn't lose his powers if he's wearing the Anti-Venom suit because it doesn't have a mind of its own. Making the symbiote 100% obedient to the host, unlike Venom. So since Spider-man doesn't want to remove his powers, it won't remove his powers.
Anti Venom in the comics actively chooses to cure diseases iirc. Idk if I'm thinking of Toxin or whatnot, but Anti Venom hates symbiotes and harmful disease, not all diseases.
Honestly I doubt it because what we know it's like a lobotomized venom, as Pete put it "all the strength none of the voices" where as antivenom in the comics is aggressive and angry like venom but hell bent on purifying everything. Personally I would like to see the antivenom symbiote start to have a voice and to manifest itself and have Pete teach it how one of toxins host taught it right from wrong

It depends on the source of his powers. Shattered dimensions explains it pretty good with Classic Spidey vs 2099 fighting Anti Venom. If the powers come from radiation like Classic Spideys anti venom can cure it. If its genetic like 2099 then Anti Venom can't cure it.
I hope this happens like mid fight with goblin goblin overpowers the anti venom and he loses it causes Peter to be vulnerable and miles having to help
