The amount of times they have had to answer....what would u be doing if not this? like....but they are doing this....how about we ask them more about it?
It's pitchfork, they're known for being respectful and interested in the artistic process. The agency is ran by actual music lovers not entertainment workers, they let the artist talk about their art
Exactly I wish western media outlets especially in the US would just let them talk about their music and in their own language. We want them to be comfortable and able to express their thoughts.
Same the passion just really shines through as soon as it's music related and I just love to see him so engaged even though I totally feel him when he's being a quiet introvert like me-
@@ilovementhol ppl need so many things to be really successful. I guess being positive and working hard and making good decisions is the best thing we can do .
When suga said It was the first time he realised the effort doesn't guarantee success it was like a slap in the face. It hurt. They deserve everything they're getting. They had to go through so much prejudice and oppression in their own country, I can't imagine about outside.
He talked a bit about it in the Burn the Soul documentary where they kept saying among themselves that they were working so hard, why weren't they achieving the great lengths they thought they'd get thinking "we've been doing this for 1, 2 years, why aren't we there yet" but slowly their mentality changed to "it's only been 3, 4, 5, years...there's so much more time ahead to show what we've got" and I think that shift really put them in the right mindset where they were able to push through and keep doing what they love
@@day_saram Very true. Yoongi is right, effort has never garunteed success, especially for an artist since so much relies on how your art is received by (quite literally) strangers that don't owe you anything. I'm glad he was able to leave that mindset behind and refocus, it shows his maturity and professionalism.
It's true... Just like Seokjin said before... "Even if you're ready, you need LUCK to succeed. So, I hope that LUCK is always with you". Many talented trainee have to give up their dream when they don't have luck to debut, and decide to do something else to living their life. It's sad, but in reality we really need luck to achieve something too...
"It was the first time I realized that effort doesn't guarantee success." This broke my heart. This is so true for so many people in the world, especially people living in poverty who are struggling to live. Idk man, it just really hurts to know that this is true. I know this interview is about BTS and their music, but please just let me remind you to be kind to people and to yourself. You can still feel angry, sad, and all sorts of negative emotions, but please, just don't hurt yourself and don't hurt others.
my heart was broken when I saw that, to even think of how much struggles they endured besides the ones we know of hurts me sm, but it’s always a nice thought to see how they overcame all of those hardships and are just as wonderful and humble as before
Finally, an interview in the English language press that really takes a serious look at the music of this group. This is the core of why many fans admire the group - not their looks, not the business practices of their company, and perhaps not even the spectacular music videos and live performances. These insights are long overdue, and it's a pity that it has taken this amount of time for English language coverage of BTS to arrive at content that does justice to the substance of the band.
The crazy thing is the fact that they're only scratching the surface in this video. BTS' discography is seriously no joke. The EPs weren't really talked about, neither were the social issues happening in and around the songs, the progressive growth and reflection of youth, the BU, religious and mythological homages, the Jungian Theory, etc. All this meticulous consideration just goes to show how serious BTS are about their craft and frankly, I've never seen any other artist put in as much effort as they have
Taehyung: “we were all quite desperate then.” Yoongi: “it was the first time I realized effort doesn’t guarantee success.” What a punch to the gut. Anyone can really tell how much bts wanted to succeed back in 2014, they performed their asses off and tried to show the most versatile sides of themselves, but even then, they had to battle the disadvantages and biases in their own country.
I just love how well spoken Jimin and Jhope are when they talk about their music. I could listen to them all day. Thank you for this amazing interview, Pitchfork.
Agree! Even if I don’t understand the skits in their album, I still play it over and over. Jimin’s voice and laugh is the most recognizable for me anywhere.
“It was the first time I realized effort doesn’t guarantee success” this is something I’ve recently, personally known to be true. anyone who’s ever worked hard for something or simply lived long enough should know the truth in that sentiment. But whether BTS knows it or not they are a beacon of hope for people who have worked hard and fallen short. I’m glad they are being so open about these kinds of things now; it indirectly instills more hope and encouragement in me for my future.
Their 2018 Grammy Museum interview was also as good I think. The two times they’ve actually been asked about their music and no weird questions like which US singer inspires them and they get to speak in korean so all of them can answer fully
Taehyung's sense of humour is literally going to another level with each interview. I love the way he says everything with a straight face and everyone else just rolls laughing😂😂
This might be the best interview I've seen with them yet. Letting them speak in-depth about their MUSIC? No "Who do you want to collaborate with?" No "What's your favorite English word?" SHOCKING! Everyone looked so comfortable, they all got a chance to speak-it's not something that happens every day with Western media and we need more of it. Thank you, Pitchfork!
Over 7 years. I've witnessed this, and he's been consistent with his praises for 7 years. And compliments are accurate Rm: best leader Jin: best looking person every feature is perfect Suga: best rapper Hobi: best dancer Jimin: best performer (plus endless compliments these two.. Just..lol) JK: best voice Hope Tae talks about his songs and his process one day, he doesn't talk about it much if at all, we'd love to hear it.
“It was the first time I realized effort doesn’t guarantee success.” - Min Yoongi. The most real quote applicable to real life that I wish artists would say more openly. Only BTS 💜
That's why they are One in a Billion because they don't Motivate you saying words like you can do it , go for it, never give up they are straightforward and tell you the reality of life
Finallyyyyyyy an interview about their actual MUSIC instead of “who do you wanna collab with” “whos your favourite actor/actress” “whats your favourite part about -some big city name-“ or some other stupid western imperialistic question. And im saying this as a westerner. the western world’s interviewers need to rlly step their game up and stop treating BTS like theyre just a bunch of tourists sightseeing whenever they travel here.
It's absolutely hilarious and sad. I watched in a show with EXO where they talked about their experience being on Ellen and Kai literally said that he was unimpressed and the questions were boring. No wonder there aren't that many funny scenes in western interviews. A lot of the questions are non-specific to the band & shows that they haven't done their research. The first few time with collaborations, who's your fav artists, food, etc. ok fine wtv, but after the MILLIONTH time like GOD what a waste of time for our boys. Kudos to Pitchfork for actually revealing their insight, personality, and actually new info us ARMYs don't know about. Thank you for respecting them as artists
The best BTS interview so far. Our gems talking about their albums and reminiscing is pure bliss. Other interviewers need to understand that ARMYs are not interested in invading their personal lives or anything which discomforts them. We are happy when they speak korean ,in which they are comfortable. Watching them talking about their music with comfort and happiness is everything. Thank you for such an interview where BTS is comfortable
Exactly ! They always ask bts personal questions with the excuse "your fans want to know..." but we really don't. We respect their privacy and are genuinely interested in their music and art and everything this interview is about
Jimin in 2016: “it was an accident!” Jimin in 2020: “it’s also the first song I started to...strip the jacket and throw the jacket aside.” *CAUGHT IN A LIIIIIIEEEEE*
One of their best interviews yet! This guys are MUSICIANS, they take their music so seriously, and portray a message important to them on every single song. I'm actually surprised that there are not a lot more videos where they talk about their process. Nice job pitchfork!
Khulene Gallo Same but they did talk about it in VLive. Still there are still people arent understanding or admit that there songs have some youth and meaning in every scene on what happened in the real world is in there. I dont know but I like there music more. The lyrics are good with meaning of there own. I like that. I wish people can see that to be honest. The boys are also humble to everyone even people who hate them. The ones who hate them for no reason could be there fame and popularity that the haters hate.
Well its not until recently that America began to take them seriously and have interviews like this that ask them more about the musical process and less about "who is your favorite American celeb?" or "whats your favorite American food?". Out of all of their interviews in america or by Americans there's only a few where you'll notice they actually enjoy themselves because they're not asked childish questions. Took a long time to get to this point but we're finally here 😂😂😂
ikr! this interview was great. it was all focused on their music! and they got to tell about personal things to the group as well. all the interviews with the same basic questions just get tiring. so, i don’t watch them often. but hearing them get to speak about their music the whole time was really refreshing. they are musicians and should be treated as such when traveling overseas as well.
bts are veteran musicians who are constantly evolving so please make sure you give their older albums a listen !!! it's really amazing to see how their music has grown
Veterans indeed! These dudes have been writing before bts, since they were kids, watching their evolution and growth through that music is compelling and inspiring.
this is quite honestly one of my favorite interviews of them ever. it was so incredible to hear them talk about their music with such love and passion and honesty. i hope they know that what they do saves lives and that they are indeed a source of joy and hope and motivation and LOVE for ARMY. borahae, BTS! saranghae saranghae saranghae
your comment made me cry, i felt everything you said. this is why their art needs to be appreciated and brought to the light more and not just dismissed as some cringy music, especially when the general public doesn't really know their discography and everything that goes into it. they changed and helped me better my life through their music and continue to do so, for me and many others. just listening to bts in the background makes me want to do something good for myself, no matter what song is playing. at least, that's what i heard
@@bellatrala4892 i feel that!! their music is incredible and so well crafted. the time, effort and love they put into each song really shows. and the messages their songs send are powerful, healing and beautiful. they make me want to be a better, kinder person. they're amazing artists and even better humans
Best. Interview. Ever. Please, American interviewers, this is the kind of thing we want to see. Not who they want to collaborate or whatever stupid repetitive questions you all come up with
Right it’s annoying 1. Wtf do they need to do an album in English 😒 I’m sure no one would go to Beyoncé and ask “when is your album in French coming” Army appreciates everything they do and we do take the time to find English versions of the songs and the meaning behind every lyric they don’t need to do an English album or song for a matter of fact.
they're just naturally funny people, like they don't even have to try and be all "chaotic" they just be in their own world talking- and reminiscing- about their songs and it would be really entertaining. i could watch them just be themselves all day, it's comforting yet really entertaining at the same time.
This is the best BTS interview I've ever seen. Remember they're music artists and not tourists to ask what is their favourite food or where they want to go. Of course those things can be asked but asking it constantly will make both BTS and the audience boring. I hope more people will check out their discography without any prejudice. Thank you so much for having an interview with them 💜
But I really love BTS interview with Tokopedia. That's my favorite interview. I feel they was excited with Tokopedia. And also I love the set, BTS' outfit during the interview. So lovely. But this is also good too. I love this to
This has to be one of the best interviews BTS has done in Western media. Their discography is so packed that I can listen to them talk abt it for hours. I hope more people see this and explore BTS music. It's not just any boy band. Their lyrics r very deep and meaningful and yet so much fun. Following BTS music is the best decision u can make! :) Edit : thanks for the likes! :) Please explore their albums & music on their YT channel - Big hit labels!
MrJustliketht bruh bye is not bad is definitely good you don’t have to comment this if that’s what you’re gonna say. Is okay to have opinions but no one is asking for this. Your being mean and rude if you got something nice to say say it if it’s bad keep it. this is the Internet where everyone sees what you write they might see this and feel bad and others might attack you for saying that example me just that I am not being rude or mean and just informing you and educating you.😐
This is the interview I've been waiting for. BTS just talking about their MUSIC. Seriously we need more interviews like this. Thank you so much Pitchfork for giving the guys a chance to talk about their music. 20 mins is too short tbh. I can sit and listen to them for 3 hrs just discussing about their album process. BTS, fighting!
True. 20 mins is too short. It should be 20 mind for each album. I love to hear them delving more into other songs as well, ( not just the title track) I love their B-side more than the hit ones....
BTS's lyricism is one of the main reasons I am so passionate about them. They manage to capture emotions with words like no other. I also feel like since they sing and rap in Korean I have to think more about the meaning and message as I go through translations! Thank you for this breakdown 😊💜
One thing I can say about BTS’ Discography is ‘versatility’ they are a group that has been able to explore diverse genres that adapt to the context of each album, they’re not a group of a single genre but their entire discography manages to be cohesive because each album follows their journey as a group and as individuals.
Western media really need to learn and let them speak in their own language. Asking stupid questions should be stopped first of all. When they talk about their music, the shine they have on their faces while explaining about their music is amazing.
Yes the questions aren't always asked properly but you saying that they should let them speak Korean all the time is kinda wrong cause yes it's good they have got to that level of comfort but at the same time they have to build on there English skills that's the only way they can be better they speak Korean among themselves all day so when they go out of the country its good they challenge themselves but putting in the effort to be more fluent in English
@@priscilla-18t English is hyped even in a country like India. It's a sad reality. There should be respect for Art. Offcourse there is no problem in learning different languages but I believe they look more comfortable in Korean language.
@@priscilla-18t do they really need to be fluent in english tho? :D Is it that difficult to read subtitles? And also to become fluent in language you really have to invest your time into learning the language
the fact that they remember every single little detail of their journey (even a drink flavour?!) makes me realise how far they've come and how hard they've worked for it, yet they're still so humble. so proud of our boys
if you would drink cucumber drink you probably would also remember ... there was cucumber sprite two years ago and I still remember where and with whom I bought it :P
JK: *talking about the magic shop song* “It’s so good because this is a song for ARMY. When ARMY are tired, emotionally exhausted and having a rough time, they can draw a door within their hearts and come inside... and we’re there.” “It’s about letting ARMY know that we’ll be there and be the strength for when they feel down” thank you jeon jungkook.
YES to more interviews like this where BTS are treated like the musicians, songwriters, producers, composers and choreographers that they are and less of the basic interviews obsessed with what american singer bts like or who they think will be the “next bts”
"It was the first time I realized that effort doesn't guarantee success" hurts although it is a reality :( But now they will not be ignored anymore because now they have a big fandom that supports their music and that fandom continues to grow. Also, Dark and Wild was one of bts best era but so underrated :/ was a masterpiece! Maybe we can give it the recognition it deserves now.
the way BTS talks about ON in this interview, reveals how much they are passionate about this song and how much they want to perform this song for fans personally.
I must say I’m surprised considering Pitchfork has done some negative articles on BTS, but this is exactly the kind of interview that ARMY want to see and that GP need to be exposed to. I am glad that Bangtan didn’t feel as pressured to speak English here, because of course speaking in their native language is going to be more comfortable. RM also didn’t have to bare the burden of translating everything, which was very nice to see. This only covered the full length albums but in addition to those they have several EPs that are connected and tell stories, I would love to hear their reflections on those works too.
SexyPornStar um that would be true but one of the reviews was literally done by a guy who had BTS hate tweets on his twitter so it’s very clear whether he didn’t like the music or just didn’t like them
This is literally 20 minutes of rap line spitting out wise words, V being everyone's biggest fanboy, Jimin sharing good memories, Jungkook expressing how important Army is to him, and JIn showing how proud and happy he is being with these boys.
I wish they included HwaYangYeonHwa/The Most Beautiful Moment in life series. I still feel nostalgic listening to those albums. But I bet we can all conclude that all BTS albums/music are genuinely so good.
Them recounting how they cried a lot during the love yourself:tear era reminds me of RM's album review live stream where he was on the brink of tears while listening to tear and Jin's speech at MAMA awards where he shared about how he and the other members were thinking of disbanding due to the mental fatigue and stress and pressure(it was also the time right after BTS blew up in the U.S.) but they somehow pulled through and released love yourself:tear....man I'm so happy for them they pulled through and found some sort of mental peace.
I'm seriously so proud of them. They were able to get through such difficult situation mentally and it inspires me so much. I hope they realise how much they've changed the lives of most of their fans(me being one of those fans) for better
I really like this interview. It's just focused on their music, and everyone gave their answers without RM having the burden of translating. It gave them freedom and confidence to share their thoughts and memories.
This is what they deserve to be asked and what we deserve to hear, about their discography! BTS' discography is not a joke. People doesn't want to admit it because they are threatened by the BillboardHot100 #1 Artist. And can those interviewers stop asking them questions like, which of the members are dating? what is your favourite american food? which western artist do you wanna collab with next? What is your favourite english word? Will you ever release an English album? :| See how much they have to say about their discography. Look at their album art! I haven't seen an artist like bts. A lot of people are missing out something amazing just because of their prejudice. I deeply feel bad for those people. *BTS is a lot more than what you can even think or imagine. They will be the first and the last group I will stan. I am so proud of them. They never disappoint me.* The fact that they remember every process of their 6 years old album even now, truly legends! *Thank you for everything BTS!*
Totally agree! These are the questions worth asking about. It also showcases that they beyond the trappings of the word “idol”. They are musicians. They are artists.
the way Jungkook said while SMILING that they took naps in the bathroom because of the difficult schedule :(... They really look at the hard path they've walked but with such a pride of themselves. They really deserve to be where they are today and if it depends on me, they're going to get even higher
I wish they included their EPs in this too man, even though they mentioned some songs at the end i would love to know more about them. hyyh albums were a cultural reset on its own, the love yourself series album covers connected makes such a pretty image of showing the flower and how it detangles and reforms into a heart, skool luv affair was a such a great debut album with so many rememberable songs and O!RUL8,2? album is such a underappreciated one out of all of them
People have the audacity to say BTS sucks when they personally created dynamite for people during the pandemic to ease their mind and give them joy even during such hard time
@@bangtanastic8347 and then they have the audacity to say they don’t understand their broken english, and that they “try to be american” lmaoooo fck them
Suga's explaination on the songs really shows how song meant for him and only ppl who wrote those song can make such impression...ouh god I love them so much
i could actually listen to them talking about their discography for hours on end. I mean look how comfortable they are and really though their albums and the meanings behind them are so deep and holds so much philosophical value. people like bts are who we need in the world. a group of people who want to make a better place with their music and let other people know that everyone sheds tears and goes through the same problems. that the feeling of vulnerability isn't only confined to one person. i truly do recommend anyone going through a tough time in life to take a look at their albums and lyricism... it helped me... a lot...💜
I think we can all agree we could listen to hours and hours of bts talking about every single song and album they've put out, soundcloud ones too! Seriously this video was such a treat it leaves me wanting more!!
Love Yourself Tear Me: Fake lo- Jungkook: Magic Shop, because this is a song for ARMY My purple heart: * Melts for the 47265388th time because of BTS * 💜
this is a cute comment but please don't add "u" or "eu" at the end of your words because it's mocking the korean accent. A lot of ARMY feel uncomfortable with it
I'm never going to get over Yoongi saying that the lyrics were written with BTS' potential disbandment in mind... Like that left a crack in my heart, I thought it was just some non-specific break up song with pretty lyrics and got completely blindsided
when Jungkook said "We were all so sleepy that we used to sneak into the bathroom to take naps (4.00) " it was so sad to heard that. They were just kids back then. I felt so bad when he said that.
It sucks how people judge their songs and always say “their music is trash” or something like that when they are really meaningful. I don’t know about you guys but I was able to relate to a lot of these album meanings
I know right, a lot of songs these days have really shallow or terrible messages. A lot of people who hate on BTS and say their songs are trash listen to songs that are the equivalent of burnt trash in terms of lyrics. On an unrelated note, some of my friends who like a western pop band were showing our music class a song that had some pretty inappropriate lyrics, and they had no idea (because it was subtle instead of explicit), even though it’s in their first language. We ARMYs sure are lucky that, even though we may not understand what they are saying at first listen without reading subs, we can be reassured that BTS are saying something insightful, deep, or meaningful.
And even if ppl don't like their music, you can still show that opinion without being negative and just blatantly rude, including being racist and xenophobic, which happens in a lot of cases smh. You can still respect the artist and what they do bruh. That's why these haters nd trolls have no excuse.
Its actually so sad. I feel like if they listened to it or read their lyrics they'd feel differently. They're so relatable with emotions or problems we have today. I wish people weren't so prejudice :(
@@ruthhaumba7647 exactly, it's their loss honestly tho, if they choose to judge before actually researching it, and if they just choose to let preconceptions, assumptions and stereotypes get to their heads then it's their fault and theirs only.
Ruth Haumba right? I used to never be into kpop but then I actually took the time to check it out and now I love it, I love bts, they’re an artist that I’m glad is in my life
They're so interactive and comfortable while talking. Everyone is eager to share what's on their mind, Yoongi is talking a lot. I love it, I love the questions.
I need a BTS 4 hours podcast where they all talk and explain about their whole discography. I really want them to have an interview where they really talk about their music and artistry. Thank you so much for this.
Yes! Only yesterday i was suddenly curious of what album or song they liked the most n do they feel embarrassed to sing their old songs since they were really young when they wrote it, n today i see this interview, I'm really happy! Hope they'll ask more ques abt music n songs in future interviews
Ok, but Taehyung giving a shout out to “Moving On”, one of my all time favorite BTS tracks, at the very end makes my little veteran ARMY heart jump for joy 😭 Like I know the guys are aware of and remember all the music they’ve ever released, but to hear them reminisce and talk about their older music so fondly now that they’re so big and famous just hits different! On that note, Moving On is SUCH an underrated and touching track and more people need to listen to it tbh ❤️
Just a side note: "Fans speculate that Wings is influenced by Herman Hesse's coming-of-age novel Demian" - no speculation here, the whole era is full of references to Demian, the novel is actually quoted directly in several of the music videos and short films that were created for Wings.
If only music critics could take the time to read good translations of their songs to understand all the context behind their music; they would be more respected as the artists they are.
They talked for 20 mins. and it felt like 2 mins. pls I could hear them talking for ages , they're literally the best boys and BTS' entire discography is chef's kiss 😘 , every song is so good and every album has different story to tell a different message, I hope our boys know that we'll be waiting for the day to here ON live , we're disappointed as well so everyone , let's give our boys what they desire the most and wear masks and properly follow quarantine guidelines and hope for covid to go away fast , so that we can meet our boys in person. Bangtan this army will love and support and cheer for you forever. Borahae 💜
smth i’ve noticed by watching interviews is a lot of artists seem to not be very knowledgeable of their own music and their own story even... but bts remember the story and so many details whether it be during the process of making it or afterwards i just love that
bts' discography is diverse has a lot of varieties tho. They have songs of different genres and isnt confined to a specific one. You cant really judge them by just two songs or title tracks because there's a lot of side tracks that are hella good esp with the lyrics.
Jungkook about his self-produced song 'Magic Shop': "This song is for our ARMYs. whenever our ARMYs feel exhausted and are having a rough time, please open the door of magic shop and come inside. Lyrics were beautiful and I took part in producing it". he loves us so much. so precious
im telling you the only downside to this interview was that it was 20 minutes short. next time you'll have to discuss the albums that were missed! brilliant interview, ARMY thanks you
It’s really cool watching them discuss the origins, thought processes, and head spaces for when they made their music. They’re truly in their element when they speak about that, I can tell music is so vital to them.
'It's free?' 'Free' 'Please come to our concert' 'The group name is BTS, 7 member' 'Do you know Kpop? ' . . Remember this Army ? ToT They are the same BTS ,The same humble and hard working boys, today's billboard no.1 artists.
Even if this interview was 3 hours long it'd be enjoyable and not enough to cover their discography. Thank you, Pitchfork, for asking them to talk about their music. Maybe this will motivate your reviewers to look at their lyrics and the storyline of their albums too.
“We have a lot of great songs” facts honestly they have touched on so many genres & topics and still shine with their own style,, i love their whole discography so much
Right? Whatever you like to listen to, they've got something for you. A lot of musical groups pick up a certain identifying 'sound', so that as soon as you hear it, you go, 'Oh, that's (group!)' I like to say that BTS doesn't have 'a' sound, they have ALL the sounds. Their versatility and creativity are so amazing.
@@ystrw yea exactly! not even just groups tbh most artists will just stick to one genre. but bts always tries to incorporate so many genres & not afraid to try something new & they're still perfectly done. they have something for everyone
@@sumiii7673 just because some songs werent popular then, doesnt mean they werent masterpieces. Better have quality than overhyped songs and bts only has masterpieces.
Best interview so far. Yeah, let them speak about their music and craft. Not those nonsense, repetitive questions of what they want to eat, celeb crush whatsoever. See how deep and serious their answers are about their songs. It’s the first time i learned that they have different album covers that has meanings when connected like that smoke on wings album. These are the trivias we want to know. YG always amazes me with the way he speaks and his insights. That “effort does not always guarantee success” hit me hard. These boys are not just an idol group who sings and dance and wears fancy or just all visuals. They are serious artists, who creats “art and masterpiece” in their own way while inspiring people. Way too go BTS! Keep slayin’, LEGENDS!
Before BTS, I mindlessly listened to mainstream music and didn't connect with any of it. It was never a source of strength I could rely on. It was BTS who taught me music has the power to move you, connect with you, inspire you and be there for you. The world is a better place because these 7 men came together to make music about important subjects nobody talks about in music. I cannot thank them enough for it. I'm so blessed to be an ARMY.
So good that thanks to them people is starting to actually care what the music is , the power that it has and how listen to.... just like in the 70' 80' 90 when the music had an actual message and was all about it
Exactly, to me before I listened to BTS, music was just something for dance and enjoyment, they not only taught me it's real meaning, they even taught me to love myself more, and be myself
I am always shocked whenever I think of Dark & wild because they were all kids. The rap line all had songwriting and producing credits already. The talent was just crazy and on another level.
The fact that you can listen to the entire discography and not skip a song because they are all so good in different ways. It's way too hard to choose a favorite song. This interview was awesome! Thank you!! 🤗😚💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🌌
Jimin's eloquence is sooo underrated. He has such a way of explaining the heart of the matter in a beautiful manner ♥️♥️ Also this was such a wholesome interview. The boys just reminiscing ♥️ Loved every single minute of it ♥️♥️
IIsa Afeen FACTS he's such an intellectual and very mature but people don't care to notice that. Even RM said he looks up to him even though he's known as the leader.

It's pitchfork, they're known for being respectful and interested in the artistic process. The agency is ran by actual music lovers not entertainment workers, they let the artist talk about their art
they're probably an ARMY or someone close to a fan. Sadly, most people in the west don't give them the chance to be seen as real artists
See how engaging BTS members are when you let them speak about their music.
Yeah, not like those cringey awkward interviews where they're always asked stupid questions 🙄
Yoogi sounded excited! I wish they'd ask them more about their music in other interviews
Yeah they're music artists so they should be asked more about music works than the food they like or where they want to go
Exactly I wish western media outlets especially in the US would just let them talk about their music and in their own language. We want them to be comfortable and able to express their thoughts.
exactly.. Loved this interview
"It was the first time i realized that effort doesn't guarantee success."
-Min Yoongi
Ya'll don't realize how truly deep that line was.
..Yeah.
Same
why does Yoongi say the best things
They always surprised me by their deep thought, how can they be so genius.
I felt it in my bones, in my soul cause it destroyed me
I love how Yoongi doesn't really talk all that much in interviews, but since this is actually about their music, he just has to.

I felt that.
It really hurts to accept it but it's the harsh reality.
My heart thumped in pain for a sec there. That was too real.
I do love that it's realistic--it shows that we have to trust fate, luck, and chance as we're making the efforts as well
@@ilovementhol ppl need so many things to be really successful. I guess being positive and working hard and making good decisions is the best thing we can do .
Wise words

One thing I can say about BTS’ Discography is ‘versatility’ they are a group that has been able to explore diverse genres that adapt to the context of each album, they’re not a group of a single genre but their entire discography manages to be cohesive because each album follows their journey as a group and as individuals.

@Jungle Ho Sock to be fair i think they mentioned before they dont even know whats going on the bts universe lmaoo
the entirety of HYYH is truly a masterpiece. no one could do an era so youthful but heart-wrenching like they did.
Agree! I was expecting them to discuss HYYH albums coz they👏are👏masterpieces👏 plus HYYH era is when I became an army 💜

People have the audacity to say BTS sucks when they personally created dynamite for people during the pandemic to ease their mind and give them joy even during such hard time
And they did it in english, so that most people can sing along with them, even though it must have been a challenge to do so! I purple them so much

I’m so sick of interviews filled w unimportant drama seeking questions. this was purely about them, their thoughts and their art. FINALLYNDNDNFN

Tonight is the night!!! So excited for the lucky army who are going to experience it.
I think we can all agree we could listen to hours and hours of bts talking about every single song and album they've put out, soundcloud ones too! Seriously this video was such a treat it leaves me wanting more!!

this is a cute comment but please don't add "u" or "eu" at the end of your words because it's mocking the korean accent. A lot of ARMY feel uncomfortable with it
@@souredgrapes thanks for letting me know, I never knew about it
They cried a lot making LY: Tear. Yeah, just look at Tear’s lyrics and you’ll be devastated for sure
I'm never going to get over Yoongi saying that the lyrics were written with BTS' potential disbandment in mind...

when Jungkook said "We were all so sleepy that we used to sneak into the bathroom to take naps (4.00) " it was so sad to heard that.
OMG Yes!
Yes, where they can share about their music rather than some ridiculous questions

Yes! Only yesterday i was suddenly curious of what album or song they liked the most n do they feel embarrassed to sing their old songs since they were really young when they wrote it, n today i see this interview, I'm really happy! Hope they'll ask more ques abt music n songs in future interviews
yes i am curious too about the bangtan universe

Because they are so much involved in the making process which makes them feel connected to it.
Because they put their hearts into it. When your heart is attached to something, you simply don't forget.
bts' discography is diverse has a lot of varieties tho. They have songs of different genres and isnt confined to a specific one. You cant really judge them by just two songs or title tracks because there's a lot of side tracks that are hella good esp with the lyrics.

I am always shocked whenever I think of Dark & wild because they were all kids. The rap line all had songwriting and producing credits already. The talent was just crazy and on another level.
