The fact he understands fluently spoken English sentences.. it's not an easy thing to do as an English learner. English is a language that takes a lot of time and practice to understand what is being said

The difference this time around is that I think they stay in 1 place for interviews (hence the same background for Access, Variety, etc) and journalists rotate there so BTS doesn’t have to travel all day. It shows how big BTS has grown to be able experience this luxury (unlike other groups). Smart move, BigHit!

He's probably listening to the interpreter to learn from him too. Like I wish RM himself relied on the translator and spoke Korean because he can get so much more articulate and deep (like he does in Korean album press conferences or even V-lives explaining the behind-the-scenes of working on the songs etc). Like sure he's decent at English and fluent compared to the other members, but it's still not his mother tongue and he can't get as technical or convey his intellect as much as he could with Korean. Obviously we always appreciate the effort but I think sometimes it's nice to get comfortable and prioritize the accuracy of the message when possible.

The difference this time around is that I think they stay in 1 place for interviews (hence the same background for Access, Variety, etc) and journalists rotate there so BTS doesn’t have to travel all day. He's probably listening to the interpreter to learn from him too. Like I wish RM himself relied on the translator and spoke Korean because he can get so much more articulate and deep (like he does in Korean album press conferences or even V-lives explaining the behind-the-scenes of working on the songs etc).
Like sure he's decent at English and fluent compared to the other members, but it's still not his mother tongue and he can't get as technical or convey his intellect as much as he could with Korean. Obviously we always appreciate the effort but I think sometimes it's nice to get comfortable and prioritize the accuracy of the message when possible.
Everyone's out there stealing RM's job: Yoongi as a spokesman and the translator as a, well, translator. I love it tbh
