Great advice.
I prefer not to hold my saddle to lift the bike but instead grip on the mainframe above main chainwheel. Prolongs the life of the saddle.

Yes, good advice, although I always walk my Brompton through to the train platform (and fold there) rather than carry it through the barriers. They are quite heavy!
