Hei Hei I went to a hostling tour a little while ago and the engineer told me “31 is half done” the reason they are not finishing her is because she is too weak for the trains they pull and they already have 4 working steam locos!
This was when the Heritage Rail Alliance Convention was taking place at Stasburg. I'm not sure when they have done this in the past but if you want to see when the next Heritage Rail Alliance Convention is then check Strasburg's website or the Heritage Rail Alliance website. But yes for this special occasion, all three steam locomotives were fired up because of the convention. Now sadly next year we won't have 475 since she is due at the end of the year for her 1472 day inspection and she will be in her inspection by the time of next's year convention.
No 475 is going under her 1472 inspection next year. It is not 15 years it is 2 year inspection where they take apart the whole locomotive and inspect everything.
metrafanguy 611 No it isn't 475 is going to run this summer and then in fall she'll be in for a rebuild. So she has the summer to run then it's the rebuild.
Man you got some good shots! Great video! You were right about it almost being an hour long.
Thanks! Yeah I was hoping it to be shorter but it turned out to be 40 mins. But thanks for watching!
You're dang right it's a short consist! It's only 2 cars long!
Yeah I think it was for the Rail Alliance Convention participants. But it was a nice change from the usual 8 or 7 car trains.
Awesome video
Thank you!
