- July 12th 2018. Join SCM Railfan Productions as we follow ex N&W 4-8-0 #475 from East Strasburg, Pa to Leaman Place, Pa and return with a revenue freight. Due to mechanical issues with the SRC diesel, #475 was fired up to pull the freight and work the yard. You will see the engine prepping, run to the interchange, running back to Strasburg, and drilling the yard. Enjoy the sights and sounds of a rare steam revenue freight. Please like and subscribe!!

Something that jumped out at me there is the AOK box car. That is the Arkansas - Oklahoma Railroad but is also used by Greenbrier Management Services, some of which are marked AOKX, but not all. The box car is theirs and well out of its territory.
Norfolk & Western! There’s No Stopping Us!
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did back in 1954 had me a plan, to be an engineer man.
Awesome video!!!! 😀
I love #475 like this.
TRENES VIEJOS🤣😃
Thanks for this video. I was there a few days later and saw number 90 take the Canadian Pacific grain hopper back to Paradise.
Count on the Road to Paradise to haul freight with style!
@22:13 rare glimpse of a Strasburg LM, not to mention 475, slipping its wheels! They're actually working.
misesmedicine “LM”?
i am so excited to see 611 pull one of their freight trains!
Steam Enthusiast Productions photo freight.
Must’ve been pressed for time on that run because 475 was really high balling. Looks pretty late in the morning so I’m guessing 89 had to pull the 11:00 train and they had to rush 475 out for the cars. The 475 put a great show for you to capture.
JAM Rail bids it was quite the hustle to get to some locations lol
Awww I missed 475 by a few days. At least I got to see 89 (my favorite engine there)
Steam needs to bring this engine out as a add on.
I recently got it on k<rainz.com. Definitely worth the money.
I love 475
Nice video! Really nice to see 475 out. Just curious, what editor do u use?
Eastern PA Railfanner611 Thanks! And I use a program called Wondershare... i find it a little easier to use than Adobe. Both are great programs tho!
gonna be there tomorrow. wonder what locomotives will be pulling that day...
89 most likely. 90 is in for a boiler wash... 475 if they have any inbound or outbound cars for the interchange.
who ran?
MPT 765 Unfortunately the trip will be postponed to the 28th…
JerryDoesThings sorry to hear
MPT 765 its all good though... I was hoping to get an “official” video of 90 after all
are the freight trains still on Tuesdays and Thursdays?
Very well done!!
Thank you Jim!!
How did you find out about the revenue freight?
Got some friends that work for the railroad.
I love Norfolk and Western steam engines specially the j class 611 and 1218
I hope 475 will be operational before 611 arrives at Strasburg this September 475 is one of my favorites and is in my opinion the best locomotive Strasburg owns plus 89 and 7312 too
I thought 475 was down for FRA inspections
SMSTERN2 The engine still has a little more time left on the boiler. But it's getting close.
ah yes now thats what I am talking about, one of the few places you can still see revinue and work freight on occasion being pulled by steam, althoght in the roundhouse the smoke dont quite look like its getting clean combustion with all the black smoke, should be gray mostly if done right, love the splerts of water out of the cylender cocks though when it is backing up after coaling that was neat. now if only the up and tennesse valley would do this with their steamers more often. it would be xanadu for steam lovers, not paradise as that is already a place on the strausburg rr heh
You should make it black and white!
That would be cool lol
SCM Railfan Productions how did you know they we’re doing freight?
I know a few employees lol
How did you know they were going to run a frieght?
The diesel that they normally use for switching was OOS. So I got a heads up from some friends that they would be using steam until the diesel was back in operation.
