- Hello friends.
This is the official channel of JSK-koubou.
Here you can find many interesting videos about homemade machinery, woodworking projects, plans and life hacks.
I propose a method to easily make high-precision 45-degree and 90-degree jigs from freehand-cut wood.

Is nobody else watching this guy amazed and astonished and astounded at how clean his finger nails and hands are. I've never seen this dude with dirty hands. The shop is always spotless too.
Just felt I had to say something about it. Huge credit to u for the great work u do bro. It's bloody brilliant to see what u can do with some learning skills, some decent tools and nice wood. Salute to u sir..
U have my respect and I'm sending it from IRELAND to u aswell..
Love your work... Simple and precise!!
I love your content, you are teaching me a lot.
Thank you!
great idea! I made the same, but with smaller holes. work well! Thank you 👍
I wish i could make a corner clamp video and have 30K views in less than 3 hour! Nice work as always JSK, your skill and talent are amazing!
Thank you for sharing your skills and craftmanship. I get inspired in watching your video and borrowed some of your ideas. more power !!
Being able to cut a 45* straight on the line, perfectly plumb, in one go, perfectly smooth with a hand saw tells a lot about your skills. I'm very impressed by everything you do.
I think I've watched about all of your jigs videos in one day and I'm impressed each and every time by the ingenuity and the (apparent) simplicity of your every work
Glad you got a Set of Forstner Drill Bits,
I love my set, they produce a clean cut hole, that is superior to holes from standard twist drill bits
I like that the guy doesn't explain. The visuals are plenty enough!
Man! Those angles were PERFECT! Kudos!
at this level , it's ART ... Thanks for all your videos ...
Love all your techniques with double sided tape and the glass.
Excelente vídeo, como sempre!!!
Gosto muito de assistir este canal. Admiro a criatividade e o zelo e a precisão aplicados a todos os trabalhos. É realmente inspirador. Parabéns pelo excelente padrão de qualidade!!!
You are very skilled and creative!! Keep up the good work!
One more jig to build - but I love it. Thank you so much for sharing your magic skills
ein absoluter Fuchs mit scharfem Werkzeug !!
Best video I've seen all week!!!
Thanks for sharing those tips and the make!
nice clean work as usual. I created something very similar as a crosscut sled accessory so i dont have to change the blade orientation. line up with blade, clamp to fence, always square, no damage to jig, you can cut almost to final dimension and use a stop block to get identical pieces with bevels.
AWESOME build. I am definitely impressed with your workmanship using the more basic tools. The only thing I would suggest for the corner clamps is to give it a lacquer / varnish finish and a coat of paste wax to keep glue squeeze out from sticking.
Those metal combo 90/45 degree squares are amazing. Do you possible have a link for those?

"Just" another video of simple ideas perfectly executed. Your craftsmanship is superb!
Nice video. And thank you for not contaminating it with an obnoxious music bed!
Very well done! !! !!!
someone give this guy all the money
Excelente!,precisión milimétrica! todo exacto, todo a escuadra, exelente!, saludos!.
I could NEVER do this 2:29 - I enjoy watching his videos and wish that I could work the neat.

JSK thanks again for another excellent video! I notice your hand saw skills are very advanced, mine are not. Could you please consider making a magnetic hand saw guide please? I just know you could make a truly excellent jig. Many thanks from Wales in Britain.
I enjoined like always . Please do some fine furniture making like chests of drawers or fine A Japanese basket or caning furniture . I think the level of accuracy of this furniture is exactly your style . Thanks for sharing amazing videos.
Fantastic work, man! Well done! 😃
I definitely need to make some of those as well!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
That’s awesome 👏
Absolutely brilliant great video
Always surprising with your tools :-)
Another great video. Thanks.
Love your videos though I confess to watching them @ 2X speed. Cannot guess why roughly one of thirty viewers give this video a thumbs down. After 45 years of full-time woodworking, I find your approach perfectly direct and accurate. Thank you.
Mark, I can explain why I give it a thumbs down. The video purports to describe how to achieve an accurate 45 degree jig, emphasis being on "accurate". It does nothing of the sort. Cutting wood to an "accurate" angle, 45 or any other value, is "much" harder than it seems, this video doesn't do anything special about it.
@@raphaelklaussen1951 You don't think those cuts were accurate?
@@darkmagna9004 They are not, especially the 45 degree one. They all rest on the assumptions that the square is accurate, which you don't know that it is, and that the two sides of the wood planks are perfectly planar and perfectly parallel, which is not the case. The 45 deg. also introduces the glue thickness as a variable.
Look at William Ng video on the 5-cut method for perfect 90 deg. cut. That is an example of what "accurate" means.
@@raphaelklaussen1951 fair enough. But for my purposes, any square out there is going to be accurate enough for anything I'm going to build, or for my ability to cut accurately. The square not being 90° or 45° will never be the limiting that prevents me from making perfect joins.
Everything else that I do carries more error than the square
@@darkmagna9004 Fine, but don't call it "accurate". Accurate doesn't mean "good enough", it means it has to pass a suitable accuracy test.
For a 45 deg miter, the accuracy test is the accumulated error over four joints. That error must be less than 0.001 in over the length of the miter. Even if your square is sufficiently accurate, your transfer to the wood is not (because marking tools aren't perfect, are not held perpendicular, etc.), that is why you can't get that level of accuracy with just a square, no matter how perfect the square itself is.
Spitzenklasse - TOP ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
That is a genius idea. love it
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho 🤝👏👍👊🇧🇷💯
perfeito perfeito perfeito.
Excellent video
I love your cleaned work

Super 👍
Great idea
Great job.
But can you help me out here. I get that the Japanese pull saw allows for a fine, straight, accurate cut. But how do you also maintain a true vertical cut along the length?
Whenever I try anything like that I am guaranteed to have a camber on my edge.
...bravissimo!!!
Hi JSB .love and enjoy watching your you tube videos .Q ? Have you ever considered building a CNC router project .I would love to see your version of such a project .Sayonara my good friend .
He already has, but not as a video compilation - jisaku-koubou.com/archives/category/cncmake
Could you please explain what different kind of glues you use for different purposes ?
Amazing. Where can combo squares be purchased?
Nice Prywood
Nice plywood you got there. What we get here in Canada is full of holes between plies. Can’t see that jig holding up for long if you keep cutting into it.
Same problem here in Aust'. But I believe you at least can more easily get Baltic Birch ply over there than here. It so expensive down under.
Perfect🇬🇧👍
Hi, my name is Cesar and I watch your videos here in Brazil, I really liked the double sided tape you used in this video. could inform me the name and the brand. Another question you have the projects of your machines? Thanks.
