A beautiful star and the unusual design is lovely. Unfortunately like other commenters I found this tutorial quite hard to follow and I've made lots of macrame previously. I had to repeat a couple of times when she untaped and then retaped her cords, clear tape and all cord the same colour made it awkward to see clearly. I got there in the end but it was frustrating. My advice to beginners is find a tutorial that uses 2 colours for the cords, I found those much simpler to follow when I was learning.
Thank you for this as I didn’t think I filmed this one any different than my other tutorials but I do see now how some can struggle seeing clearly how it’s being made. Perhaps I will refilm this tutorial again!
@@Bochiknot I'm sure creating videos isn't easy & my comment was intended more as an encouragement to frustrated beginners not to give up. Maybe instead of redoing it just change the experience level? :-)
it's much too hard for beginners. my star looks like a mess 😂 i needed 45 minutes for one really bad looking star. it's macramee advanced. But your star looks really nice. perhaps i will try it again.
Ah yes if you're not proficient with the DHH knot, it can be really difficult. This one is great practice for the DHH knot though. Give it another try and I'm sure it'll get easier with time.
If someone was able to do this please let us know! I tried twice and my star is not pointy, plus the whole in the middle of the star is huge compared to hers.
I'd recommend practicing the Double Half Hitch knot first. Even though this is a basic knot, it is trickier to grasp in the beginning. I have some tips on how to make clean and neat Double Half Hitch knots here: ua-cam.com/video/vkYTy426vIo/v-deo.html
You are right! This is definitely a pattern made for advanced beginners who know the Double Half Hitch knot well. Even though this is a basic knot, it is trickier to grasp in the beginning. aaaah this is so frustrating bc she keeps moving her cords out of the video frame and so much unneccesary talking also please "great advanced beginner's project" help me
I tried over and over. I'm not a beginner and the knot was easy, but trying to follow her was frustrating! I slowed her down, and she sounds totally wasted, lol. I give up.
Great tutorial; what a lovely piece of art created! Thank you!!🎉❤
Thank you for watching 🥹

Hi Can this star be done using three different color cords ?
Yes, absolutely!
@ thank you
The DHH isn’t hard. It’s the figuring out which cords I’m using after it flips over the first time. I’ll keep trying!

This is not for beginners...
Al's, it doesn't help when you are moving the cords outside the camera. I had to guess what you were doing
