Just realized the end screen is the episode 1 of the VTi series il edit in a few days but here is the playlist with over 90 tech videos ua-cam.com/play/PLSfTkjTlf41GKs4tX6A_oSSZj6Ei88mIB.html&si=kG6o9OjqgOLPywBL
Would be nice to see a video explaining valve jobs and what they can do to make it more efficient and how they can affect if not done taking in consideration the new mods been done to the head. nice porting by the way!
@@Rodman8500 hey watsup Rodman! always remember the name of my fav rebounder off all time 😎 have noticed you been active since the early days of the channel I really appreciate that 🔥 and excellent idea on the video! will try to work on that and I will try to make a very layman’s kinda video and hopefully some good visuals and imagery to share the info well enough! thanks for that idea man
@@SRDmotorsports Always lurking and learning and yeah one of my favorite players too that is why i have the name because he and i share the same of name and thanks for remember me :)
How about you do challenge get car for project and build engine and body if you want or keep it sleeper and film you driving it and dyno it race it … its will be cool videos to make and you having fun and new different things you will film
are these port n polish applicable on by just using stock camshaft (20camlobes)? or do i need to upgrade also to aftermarket camshaft? really love watching ur vids thank you for your response in advance!! ❤
@@bryanlarrea2867 I believe locally that’s a civic Lxi engine to us, unfortunately I havnt had a chance to work on one… BUT if I do find a cheaper good priced core? I might actually get it and study / port it and make a video here for you guys
would it make sense to put some extra material onto the port divider and smooth it out so it's not as far into the port? i feel like that's one issue of these but the combustion chamber looks better than Z6 imo
@@SRDmotorsports yeah fair. It makes sense for low/high rpm but I‘m guessing it‘s hard to keep velocity and flow up with a swirl design and it‘s very sensitive to port changes but it should be able to make more power at the same cfm
@@huwaki good question actually… and technically it does and could? But just like installing headers changes the air fuel mixture But we see a ton of guys change headers and stay on stock ecu for all their reasons? basically you get maybe 60-70% of its capabilities by just bolting it on but with ecu tuning it can guarantee you get 100% of what the head can give or header or even intake
@@SRDmotorsports I remember putting P2j Intake on my non vtec caused engine pinging, I suspected it was leaning out on fuel hence requiring higher octane. So to summarize, yes it will benefit on how the stock ecu can compensate on AFR but can be fully unlock it's potential when tuned? Will we be seeing a tune onto the next video? :D Cheers for a great informative video. Hoping to visit your shop soon!
@@huwaki the owner of this head is the 1996 VTi series we did actually yeah the owner has future plans on switching ecu and “other” things so most likely as soon as he finds time, but I think he is also looking to a quick repaint just to restore the white color as it has some slight damages in places but most def if when he goes for a tunable ecu we definitely will make a follow up video to his series

This is the head on the vti rebuild series we did the stock one
these porting videos you got are good! have you done much port work with the p2f d16y7 head?

Porting is meditation 😁
it is actually… for me 😎
@@SRDmotorsports 4 me 2.
maybe one day il buy a digital clock and put it by the porting bench wall…
Sometimes its 1:20am 😂

so so true actually + late night =‘more peaceful and quiet… the grinder is free to shine on its stage 😂

yep we havnt been racing recently due to commitments, last race we did was actually Jasper’s EF on b20vtec way back before the channel

yup

possible but it’s also canted to the left, focusing on swirl in the chamber

Yup true
do you use a flow bench?
yes but not all the time that’s why I don’t talk about it, we don’t sell cfm here
Newbie question, would that lean out on stock tune? since technically there will be more airflow.
