Hands down my favourite band. I check Spotify religiously for any new releases. Heavenward, Fleshwater, Soul Blind, Amusement Parks on Fire, MILLY and Present are also amazing bands that fall under the grungegaze, post-hardcore, alt-metal, shoegaze category. Scrolled through your channel to try to not suggest something youve covered before.
One of the better bands inspired by the 90's. Moments of Clarity could've come out in 1995 and wouldn't have sounded out of place nor sounded derivative of bands that did this sound earlier. Highly recommended!
Wait, what about 12th House Rock? It's barely mentioned! I'd argue it's their best album!!! Very surprised by that; but I am interested in checking out their EPs.
It’s a great record! My thing is, when I make these videos, I have to narrow (no pun intended) things down to 2 albums and 3 tracks. It helps keep these videos shorter and it isn’t so overwhelming for the viewer. 12th House Rock is awesome, but I thought Satisfaction and Moments of Clarity would be the best for new listeners.
I tend to hear most NH fans not like 12th House Rock as much due to the mix on it and while I will admit the mix isnt perfect, it is the album that got me heavily into them and grungegaze on a whole. Ponderosa Sun Club and Evangeline Dream are just intoxicating.
@@ForeverSpinning I fully agree. It took me about 2 or 3 listens for it to grow on me but damn I can never skip that song now when it comes on my Spotify
Narrow Head rocks. To clarify, Far Removed and Satisfaction era rock. They switched vocalist at some point and 12th House Rock and Moments of Clarity got progressively worse. If you watch concert footage the vocals are just awful. There’s this weird chorusey thing he uses that doesnt work. Satisfaction is a top 200 albums all time (for me) but you aren’t missing anything besides Nodding Off after that. I’ll die to that song
what r u on about Jacob sings every song besides necrosis which was written by Ryan from bleed when he was in NH. Bro the same dude that sings satisfaction is singing nodding off. blud doesn't realize an 8 year gap will change ur vocal pattern💀💀💀
Ryan was the initial vocalist and he now fronts the band Bleed which I believe shares one or two NH members as well. Jacob was always in the band providing vocals and guitars since the beginning. Their styles are different but I really cant say Jacob is a bad vocalist. Fun fact is Make it Hurt actually features Ryan on the verse and Jacob on the chorus.
fun fact: satellite is a cover from a band called fade, and they're amazing.
I unfortunately figured that out while editing the video lol. Both versions are fantastic.
The fade album is astonishing and I wish they made more. You hear alot of narrow head inspiration in there too.

I had a track of theirs recommended by the algorithm and I have no idea why. I don't listen to any shoegaze. It was alright, though.
Yeah idk why this band has been labeled shoegaze, they have more of a post hardcore and nu metal flavor just with a bit of reverb
you rule
no, you rule
I am in fact, NOT interested in Narrow Head.
it do be like that sometimes!
