My suggestion for your dumb cane is to water it through but not leave any water in the bottom until it adapts. Let leca dry completely out, water it through again with no extra water over and over until you see roots growing. I haven’t had good luck with glass containers for plants that like to be on the dry side because there isn’t any air flow. I have to put certain plants in a pot with lots of holes and a cachepot. Hope that makes sense. 💕 Love your videos.
Because of you I bought more (and more plants). Because of you I tried my hand at leca. Because of you I feel confident I can survive this pandemic and do so with my mental health in tact. Thank you friend.

Hey hallease!!! If you want to multiply ur plants that pothos is so easy to propegate! Congrats and good luck to the conversion! 😊 And thank you, Hallease, for sharing us your struggling ones because it gives others the confidence that they're not the only plant lovers having trouble with it. 💕 I spent this month doing the same and ended up losing a few Peperomias to the transition. It's good to know Sanseveria can be converted. I have a few I've been anxious to convert. . I also had used a glass vase as a self-watering planter for a Philodendron 'Burle Marx'. I found repotting it to be difficult: the narrowing of the neck made it hard sliding the plant out. It had so much water roots, I had spent a couple hours loosening the LECA free (with a stick) from one to a few at a time until I can slide the plant out.
Keep fighting for your plant!! I'm sending him good vibes and if things do come to an end I live in SA and I am totally willing to give you a cutting 😊 I appreciate your positive energy and love for your plants. Have a fabulous day.
Love all of this! FYI, those Pothos are going to keep growing from the ends. The long leafless stems you have now will remain leafless. If I were you, I'd cut each leaf off those Pothos stems and propagate (stick them) in water. With the light you get, it'll go really fast. Then you could bunch them all together and have a full, lovely Pothos that will quickly vine and be gorgeous. Just an idea! And thank you so much for your mask and hand-washing content, too!
Just to clarify, the leaves themselves won't grow new plants. You need to have part of the stem with a node on it, like the monstera cutting in this video 😊

But you are so easy to listen to! And very informative on the leca, I'm thinking of switching my plants too but I have no idea how haha
With gardening my Mom always told me to pick off the yellow and brown leaves. There are like things in your life you should not waste your energy on. Once you remove them your roots get stronger, you produce more and grow
I only just recently found your videos and I'm loving the relaxed feeling I get when watching. I feel your pain with the dieffenbachia, mine is also not as beautiful as its former self ;-; Am curious about leca now too.. thanks for the video, take care :)
Try just putting your dumb cane in cactus soil dry from the bag and and let it be for like a month an then water it, youde be surprised how dry dumbcanes like to be. I killed my fist favorite dumb cane by over watering it in a 4in pot, so i tried again and completely left it alone and it rooted nicely. Anyway tthat was my experience... good luck!! Rooting (pun intended) for your dumb cane! All your other plants look great! I just tried my first plant in leca, inspired by your first leca video; it's a sensitive plant and it kept drying out and then when I watered it more the soil started rotting. Wish me luck and thank you for your helpful videos!

Because of you, I switched some my don’t-know-the-names-of-the plants to LECA🤔🤷🏾♀️. 1st I transferred them to just plain ol’ tap water for about 2 1/2 weeks, then into the LECA. So far, so good.

Hey. Great video. I wanna put my dumbcane and golden pothos in Leca too. But I realized you had one plant in a nursery pot. Do I keep both of them in the glass jars I currently have them in.
Try looking into hydrogen peroxide to help with the root rot! I’m not sure how it will work with the LECA medium and be super careful with the ratio so as not to burn it. Good luck!
Do you drink tap water? If so, I would recommend a filter for your kitchen faucet. I have a PUR filter on my kitchen faucet. It definitely improves the taste and, it filters things out that are common in tap water. Google it for yourself and see.
What brand Leca do you buy!?? I live in Arizona so it’s a bit more work to keep my plants babies 🌱 happy and I’ve been trying to figure out which brand is best or if they’re all the same.
There's always that one plant that just doesn't vibe in the space!! That being said I want to try out LECA so bad! Quick question, what was the stuff you sprayed on your masks at the beginning of the video? Thanks from Ontario & stay safe!

Do you drink tap water? If so, I would recommend a filter for your kitchen faucet. I have a PUR filter on my kitchen faucet. It definitely improves the taste and, it filters things out that are common in tap water. Google it for yourself and see.
Monstera's "offbrand cousin" 😄
What brand Leca do you buy!?? I live in Arizona so it’s a bit more work to keep my plants babies 🌱 happy and I’ve been trying to figure out which brand is best or if they’re all the same.
Great!!!
I can’t find a video on putting zebra plants into leca. Do you think zebra will do good/ ok/ bad in leca?
Vote!
Love love love :)
I think the one you were unsure of may be an anthurium. I could be wrong though.
How do you flush the monstera in the vase? Im so interested in single vessel passive hydro bc i can just use jars, but it seems hard for flush days
I have the same problem with my dumb cane for the past two months and still not giving up😭.
Did you have Goffey in a reservoir?
There's always that one plant that just doesn't vibe in the space!! That being said I want to try out LECA so bad!
Quick question, what was the stuff you sprayed on your masks at the beginning of the video? Thanks from Ontario & stay safe!
You probably already seen this video, but if anybody else is a comment creeper like me they might find it helpful 😂 Good video on LECA and pothos propagation ua-cam.com/video/xpmdo_0CZrU/v-deo.html Your monstera looks good 💘 I heard they like tighter quarters so a repotting might not be too necessary just yet 😉 Much respect for hanging in there with the dumb cane; I'm rooting for yall 😍👏🌱
Lets pray for that cuttings edges 😂😂
Thats a monstera as well its just a baby right now :)
7:00 could be a split leaf philodendron? since you said the roots look different compared to your monstera!
