Stan Lee said it hundreds of times, his success was due to paying attention to his readers, he said that for a comic to be successful he had to amaze, surprise and excite his readers, he had to leave them with their mouths open waiting for the next issue , Currently the comics are dedicated to politically correct propaganda, we open a comic and we find the drama of a character who has sentimental problems with his transsexual partner and this in turn gives a speech about inclusiveness and acceptance of minorities, what happened to the action, fights and heroism? it is simply too heteropatriarchal.

As for that heavy metal issue I think everybody just needs to calm down now why do understand that some fans don't like a new body armor I personally think was okay does it really matter what she's wearing that's not really an issue I think the issue is how the editor on Facebook or Twitter handle that backlash I'm one of those people that says that if you don't like certain days in comic books manga or anime nobody's forcing you to read or watch them you're free to love or hate it as you please I don't have an issue with that new body armor this is for story purposes I said in order haters and go for it and if you don't agree with some other fans you can either ignore them or try to reach a compromise I don't care about what how sexy a character looks or how the character looks in general I only care about the character and self in the story that was most important and I feel like some people are not willing to see that I also feel like people on social media or complain too much

If it was only one fight they wouldn't be using that image. But leftists lie, like you pointed out.
Why build anything when you can burn it down and scream at everyone about how much more awful a person you perceive they are. I have a woke sister, her husband divorced her after a year because he woke up XD
I admit, I never read this comic, ever, but a quick googling shows a hot chick in a bikini armor riding what looks like a velociraptor... and they care about realism in THAT? Who are they kidding? It's like making a reboot of Conan and have the barbarians fight in full armor and formations, since its more realistic. Like, who cares? News flash, not EVERYTHING has to be realistic, it just has to be consistent to be good.
0:34 A new parody song “Better Stronger Faster Woker!”😂😂😂
The comics in Heavy Metal used to influence Manga artist and Japanese animators! This is irony in the biggest way, but only because of their own bad choices and lack of understanding what Heavy Metal was and is suppose to be.
I am grateful that we still have Anime and Manga and that they have not yet lost their way, still as awesome as when i grew up in the eighties watching all the Anime from that decade and the ones previously. Long time collector and Otaku and will always be!
If she only puts on armor for one fight, why use that image as the leading promotional image?
They are going to need a Burn Heal for that.
Treat your fans like poop and you'll go broke.
@Bobby Campbell i hope all these woke companies do.

DC/Marvel: "Shut up, we need money, not fans"
At least DC still has great authors like Tom King, his Batman comics are a modern classic in my opinion.
@@SenatorDoom44 marvel has some good ones too
@@Masonia_ i didn't mean that i meant that even tho the state of DC is bad it still got some great authors. I don't know much about Marvel comics.

Gotta love it when the actual Puritans get butt mad and insult fans on Twitter. Good business decision... NOT

I thought something was wrong with my head set XD
They probably want fans to burn their old copies of Heavy Metal magazine and the original movie as well. It’s just fucking sad.
Mainstream comics are dead, I'm sticking to back-covers, manga, and indie comics like Cyberfrog.
If I may ask you a question do you think Comics such as cyberfrog and Jawbreakers and the like will eventually become mainstream in and of itself?
@@derrickcrawford1081 Depends if Ethan or Zack sell out the rights. Or become to greedy.
@@fenrirtheicewolf2019 actually I was mostly referring to that in the eventuality that the big 2 (DC and marvel) fall that will create a power vacuum that would need to be filled mainly by Indy creators such as Zach or Ethan.
@@derrickcrawford1081 Well, again it depends, They have love for the stories and the characters, so I don't think so... but sooner or later they will have to retire and give the power to someone else... and it will depend of that person.

“Thank you for your valuable feedback! Our talented creators have worked hard to bring you some great new adventures in the Heavy Metal universe. We encourage you to experience them and let us know what you think. Thank you.” How hard was that?
The sheer magnitude of self-righteous hubris in the entertainment industry in general...is staggering.
That my dear friend is called narcissism
"The changes suck. Respect your fans."
"We understand that sometimes it's hard to see a beloved character change, but we promise you, Taarna's armor is there to reflect the dramatic multiplication of the new danger she's facing! We know old-school fans are used to the relatively simple and light armor she previously wore, but we hope you'll give her new look a chance, and understand that we will never try to detract from her history as a strong, skilled and sexy warrior woman!"
"... Oh, well then, maybe I'll check it out."
But, no, being an asshole to your readers and losing money is so much easier apparently. I think the new armor is fuckin' cool, but if they're being shits to people about it, I can't be bothered.
It's mind boggling for me that no supervisor saw those responses and thought "we're ducked".
I work in customer service. 100% of the shit they are telling fans are a big No-No. They just turned a promoter to a detractor.
@@R_Caine This nonsensical adversarial relationship with the primary consumer base has been the norm for some years now for a number of long-revered IPs (Comics, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc...). And the countless ‘toxic fan’ media articles serve only to perpetuate it (as well as to ‘justify’ the diminishing profit returns). Perhaps, after the COVID low-performance excuse period runs it’s course, the financial losses will prove large enough again to take this toxic-to-the-fandom attitude to the natural 🗑 bin it belongs in.
I've always had a fascination for US comicbooks when i was young, even if European comics and mangas have always been far more popular where i live, but, i don't like it anymore. i'm just sad when i see all of the forced, dumb, hypocritical, brainwashing changes they pour into it, eroding all of the love and passion that was built arround it for so many decades.

manga and anime: i don't even know you
Manga - treasure trove of great and not so great reading material based on the genre and the readers taste.
Manhwa - also a treasure trove of reading materials.
Webtoons - same as above but **IN COLOR**
Manhua - a garbage bin of cultivation crap with a few treasures to find if you dig hard enough.
Comics - a moldy sandwich...used to be a delicious meal but started growing molds and is currently inedible.
Awesome Comment.
Manhua in 5-10 is going to shake the west. I remember when nobody read manhwa not so long ago but with maturity came success and China has all the time in the world
What's the difference between manhwa and manhua?
@@arhamhaziq4276
Manhua = Chinese comic
Manhwa = Korean comic
"She puts on armour for one fight" and yet you put her in that armour on the cover... Does not compute.
Not to defend them, but other comics have done this by featuring a new suit, a new outfit, a new whatever, and then it is gone within the next few issues. I don't buy that they won't follow through and only keep it for a couple of fights, but the chance is there. Should keep an eye on it, to be sure.
Right...because comicbooks covers never presented scenes from a fight...innovation!!!!!!
@@cactussmitho9875 I would have thought the argument with more substance might be bringing up the various instances of covers using false advertising, but there I go bringing thought into an argument with someone lacking that skill.

It's rather infuriating that they respond to tweets and messages without you knowing who is saying what. Cowardly to take shots under the guise of the company label. There could be decent people at that company taking heat for the few that clap back at the comments they don't like.
Which is why you don't hire people like this to be in charge of online marketing

I'm just glad that more kids today are into anime and manga.
Kids can relate better with stories where the protagonists earn or become better versions of themselves by earning their titles and position while working towards their goals.
Plus, what kid would pass up great artistic talents from character designs to background elements found in manga and anime than the lackluster effort found now in Western media?

Anyone else find it funny that heavy metal is saying they grew up and do not need fans like that.... as they still use the original Movie Cover image . Hypicrits
The Legend of Lemnear anime seemed heavily inspired by the Tarna section from the Heavy Metal movie. They even changed her clothes from blue to red when they made the anime version.
