When Tesla took the stage the sun had just about set and it got cold fast, down to 43 degrees but we hung in there and enjoyed the set. Hope you do too!
Not criminal at all. It may sound good to you and that's fine, I love me some Frank too but hammer ons and pull offs will only get you so far in the guitar world. He was successful, made millions but this guy will NEVER deserve to be on the top with EVH, Vai, Satch, SRV, Gilmour, Hendrix, Rhoads etc... Asking for him to be on that mountain is like saying C.C. Deville is one of the greatest hair metal guitarists ever. Not gonna happen.
I love this bunch. Their tremendousley talented. Jeff is so hilarious as well as a great vocalist and frontman. They crack me up with these hologram’s or whatever the hell they are !!!😂😂😂😮😮😮
Jeff still sounded solid as hell saw these guys open for Def Lep in 1987 on their first big arena tour and hung out on their bus for 2 hours after he show some of the coolest dudes ever !
Damn they got their shit together. Sounds like he’s been working on his voice also. His band is tight their performance is tight they’re playing as tight pretty impressive for after all these fucking years
@@briankeith6256 I disagree, there are some nuance and really subtle things that make it really unique sounding, but tricky to get right. Like I'm only through the first song but the 16th note kick thing during the verse of Modern Day Cowboy is super important but also tricky to do consistently.
Modern Day Cowboy Cold Blue Steel Breakin' Free Heaven's Trail (No Way Out) Mama's Fool Miles Away Changes Lazy Days, Crazy Nights What You Give Edison's Medicine (Man Out of Time) Love Song Little Suzi Encore: Ramblin' Man Signs
Steve Brown was obviously the right choice. Tight! Tesla, Frank in particular has a southern rock flare to him. Wikipedia had them as hair metal. It is now correctly listed as rock. They're a rock and roll band.
Great footage, thanks for sharing. Can I talk to you about your filmings? Would love to chat through email or something. I have a bunch I have filmed but not uploaded. Please let me know cause I also think you are near me too.
It’s tough to sing Modern Day Cowboy. Its really tough to sing Edison’s Medicine…. My girlfriend is a trained mezzo-soprano with years of stage experience, and she’s said as much. It’s extremely tough when you’re 63 years old with thousands of concerts under your belt and a former smoking and cocaine habit. I’ve seen them live a couple times, they’re a great live band, even with tuning down. Jeff stays in key the vast bulk of time, gets all the words out with proper phrasing, and he’ll occasionally surprise you with a pretty solid scream. Much better than most guys his age… They’re well worth the price of admission. An encore of Modern Day Cowboy in the 5th row, right in front of Frank Hannon…. His Marshall cranked up to 11… That was a freakin religious experience.
He is taking a "break" so to speak. Seriously doubt if he will come back. Makes me wonder about the musicians that when the virus hit & 2 years had to be taken off, in that time off they realized they didn't want to do it anymore.
He made his bed dude… I agree he brought a lot to the band. But Dave Rude is a solid ass guitarist in his own right, and he doesn’t fuck up like Tommy did.
Wow, what a lame audience, If I was Tesla I would check this place off to never go back to. I mean Tesla is kicking ass and taking names and there sleeping (Audience)
It was an all weekend festival with steady rain and temperatures in the low 40’s, I’m sure a lot of people had been there most of the day already, plus an older crowd.
バンバンカッコイイ曲ですよね❤懐かしい😂😊
It's almost criminal how underrated FRANK HANNON is as a guitarist...
So dam true, Bro'
Preach!!!!!
He is a guitar god my book.

@@MetalMcfly You also could add Robin Trower Reb Beach, and George Lynch to that list

Damn, truly impressed by how great Jeff still sounds
Agreed! He sounds great!
What a great show. TESLA is a professional Rock n Roll band. Tight! 🤘🏻
Respect to these guys! Still doing it after all these years...and no backing tracks!!! The real deal!
All Tesla does is bring it, year after year after year. Truly a great fucking band.
With some really great songs too. They're so unlike so many other bands.
Tesla has always been a killer band.
Tesla is my favorite band. These guys play awesome music.
The most under rated band in the world.
Excelente banda de hard rock saludos desde argentina tierra de messi y maradona
Mechanical Resonance was my FAVORITE album of all time. These guys are timeless
Thanks for sharing :)
Seen em in 89, they are my favorite from that era, going to see them again in 8 days!
Jeff still sounded solid as hell saw these guys open for Def Lep in 1987 on their first big arena tour and hung out on their bus for 2 hours after he show some of the coolest dudes ever !

Tesla just does not disappoint! Still sound amazing!
Drove 10 hours to see this killer show.
Just got through watching them i about two hours ago and that concert rocked. Very talented and very underrated as a group especially the guitarist.
proud of our home town boyz, miss Troy though
Tesla still kicking ass!
Damn Frankie and guys. The videos updating from the last six concerts on the road are blowing me away! Love you #1 forever and ever 🔥❤️🙌🥰✨🎼😍😎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for reminding me how great they are !
Saw them open for Motley and the tour with Great White! Still sound great!
Very nice, thank you for recording this and sharing.
Damn they got their shit together. Sounds like he’s been working on his voice also. His band is tight their performance is tight they’re playing as tight pretty impressive for after all these fucking years
Nothing but respect for Troy, but Steve Brown is killing it on drums. Bringing some energy, and pounding those drums like he’s at the wrong gig.
He's a meat and potatoes type drummer just like Mick!
Yup! This is the beauty of Tesla. From a rhythmic perspective, it’s all easy to play, so you can pound the hell out of these songs!

Ya never have to scroll down very far in these old band comment sections to find some guy telling us how underrated his favorite band is.
Jeff still sounds great. The whole band is still tight as fuck. Frank is a stellar guitarist! Rock on tesla!
Thank you 😊

Definitely rock. Hair metal is such a stupid term anyway.
nice

🤘😆🤘
Did Troy lucketta retire from the band or is he on a sabatical from the band??He was a big contributing factor to the band!!!
He is taking time from touring, after 35+ years, he has earned that right
Did Brian eat tommy putting a lot of weight there
What’s with the chick with her back to the stage the entire concert?
Dammit! Now I can’t unsee her, and she’s scaring the fucking hell out of me, lol!
Jeff sounds good sometimes & sometimes he sounds like he swallowed a frog ??

Who is new drummer?
Wild Mick Brown’s brother, Steve
Where’s Troy?
He is taking a "break" so to speak. Seriously doubt if he will come back. Makes me wonder about the musicians that when the virus hit & 2 years had to be taken off, in that time off they realized they didn't want to do it anymore.
He didn't want be around all the free drugs and groupies.
drumming is a physical thing not as easy getting older
Jeff has been replaced by Cartman
Get Skeoch back!!! It's rude not to have him in the band.
It is Rude
@@jimmycoleman5853 In deed kkk
As much as the fans miss him, his sound and what he brought to the band, I don't believe Tommy will be back. He has a new band - Resist & Bite. 🤘
@@jimmycoleman5853 Too funny! I thought the same thing. 🤘
