    Here’s the basic bodice block I used : • HOW TO: DRAFT A BASIC ...
    Materials used
    Ankara (African print)

    Cotton polyester ( used for lining)
    Fusible interfacing (stay)
    Fusible fleece interfacing (Wadding)
    Crinoline
    Horse hair braids

    Nice job ,but l have a question on the pattern drafting did you do the contouring at the shoulder or is just the dat that you took

    • @mercyadamsinseams
      @mercyadamsinseams  Рік тому

      Thank you. If you watched through i mostly did the contouring on the darts . I took only 1cm over the bust( around chest area)

  • @granted558
    @granted558 Рік тому

    This is such a neat job, and the fit was perfect!
    When contouring the underbust, is the 2cm intake a standard measurement, or is that value to be increased for bigger sizes?
    Also, I sent a Hobby Lobby question to your IG dm...🙂

    • @mercyadamsinseams
      @mercyadamsinseams  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! The 2cm is not standard . I usually use 1cm -2.25cm max. This is based on the bust size . Smaller bust for the least and so on . I’ll check my dm.

    If one is adding ease to the neckline for the builtup neckline, does this mean the center front cant be cut on fold?

    • @mercyadamsinseams
      @mercyadamsinseams  Рік тому +1

      Yes it will. It can still be cut on fold. When connecting to the chest line, make sure it tapers off well. And you won’t have a problem cutting on fold. I hope this helps.

    • @mercyadamsinseams

      I usually don’t tighten the over bust, if there’s a yoke . In this case I did just a little tightening, most because the yoke fabric had a lot of stretch

      I used 3.5 yards

    • @mercyadamsinseams
      @mercyadamsinseams  Рік тому +1

      To remove the stones, I ironed around the seams, placed the iron on it for a few seconds and then I used a small metal ruler to scrape out the stones .so basically the iron melts the glue under the stones which makes it easy to come off
