ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Antony Beevor is a historian who has written on topics including the Russian Revolution, the Second World War, and the Spanish Civil War. His books have been praised for their treatment of the ordinary lives of combatants and civilians, their use of newly disclosed documents and their wide geographical range. Antony spoke on the consequences of the Second World War and how it affects us still today.

Interesting that he talks about Russian fake news, but not admitting both British and American fake news. This to my mind devalues his objectivity as an historian.

Maybe he has at other times? Not every statement and opinion needs to be backed up with alternative examples.
