    I thought the ref was literally on Dina's payroll. Not only did he stop and look around and wait before even starting the 8 counts, killing time, he would step in between the fighters during the fight so that Andrea would have to go around him to get to Dina. He also said after the fight that when Dina was using the ropes for support, it should not have even been a count but called instantly for Andrea. At least it was semi-corrected after the fight and Andrea got the belt. Dina got one too, so only thing is to get a better ref next time.

      So he had to separate them before continuing
      Also Andrea seemed very eager to fight so he wanted to make sure she stayed away and waited till he was done the count cause she seemed to forget to go to the other side of the ring and wanted to go straight into boxing which would mean more separations

    Not sure why people want to see people strike each other in the brain or want to pursue it. If it's people who dedicated their whole life to combat hitting each other that's one thing, but wanting to see amateurs in a mental field get just good enough to accidentally cause mild brain damage is not for me.

    How long are players allowed to stall in the chess game? Of course at some point they are going to run out of times, but a boxer might get 2 rounds of boxing without any threat of defeat on the chess board, by not moving anything. If you are able to knock someone out in two rounds, you don't need any chess.

    In a regular boxing match or any combat sport a stoppage is when the count starts. Now here's the thing, in regular combat sports when a stoppage occurs the actual round clock is also stopped. And this was the huge mistake they made in this sport, they never stopped the clock. So do the math on this, these rounds are only 2 minutes, that's 120 seconds, out of that 120 seconds a stoppage is 8 seconds a piece, which between the ref being slow and general movement ends up being 10 seconds. So now you have to get 3 of these stoppages in the round OR 4 in the entire match. So basically out of the 120 seconds 30 seconds would be stoppages alone, and these idiots let the clock keep running down.

    So what chess rating would an amateur boxer need to achieve to be able to win the world chessboxing title?

    • @theKashConnoisseur
      @theKashConnoisseur Рік тому +1

      According to Wiki: "The current minimum requirements to fight in a Chess Boxing Global event include an Elo rating of 1,600 and a record of at least fifty amateur bouts fought in boxing or another similar martial art."
      Now, obviously that doesn't apply for meme events and exhibition bouts like Ludwig's event. But if you wanted to be the Chessboxing champ in an official capacity, them's the rules.

    if this event ever happens again they need real officiating, you can see the ref starts to count the 3rd standing 8 count at the end of the last boxing round. Should have been a win for Botez. in boxing a standing 8 count is treated the same as a knockdown, so in other words imagine if at the end of that last boxing round botez actually knocked her down, it would be an instant win for botez. The second the ref started counting the match should have been over.
