Edit - apparently there are now ads on this video, I just want to make it clear that my channel isnt even monetized, IMSA claimed it and the money is going to them

Getting a good run off that corner is crucial to defending/overtaking at Daytona, but if you miss the apex the car doesn't want to turn. Fortunately it's one of the slower parts of the circuit.

@FIA Random Penalty Generator Machine Contrary to the stereotypes, crashes are pretty rare in nascar with the exception of plate races (Daytona/Talladega). Most races might have one single-car crash, but it's also not rare for races to go crash-free.

I was sitting in the grandstand right between the entry to the infield and the exit onto the turn 1 NASCAR banking so that crash basically happened right in front of me. When the Aston got clipped it sounded like a small explosion. An audible Boom. Nuts to see that up close.

If this was NASCAR I definitely wouldnt label it "big", but when it comes to sportscar racing, 4 cars is typically big enough for most people to call it big. Also watch how hard the Mercedes gets pounded, it was a pretty hard hit.
I spent a lot of time debating that though, the original title was "multi-car crash".

Look a little closer at the very beginning, the Mercedes takes a big shot. Also, 4 cars is typically considered big in endurance racing.
