    Day 1: bought the yarn and made half of the first sleeve

    Day 3: worked on the panel more ( had a busy day)
    Day 4 & 5: worked on panel more

    omg mine turned out beautifully, thank you! took me just 4 days, i’m surprised! i love how customisable this is, my measurements came out smaller than yours, so i used less yarn than i have expected to use, specifically 6 balls of 50g yarn. i made the waist area of the body panels into more of a slim fit by changing to a 5.0mm hook after doing the ribbing, as i wanted it to be fitted. overall, very happy with my first ever sweater 😊 would totally make the cardigan that you have a tutorial on, next! ❤️

    I love this so much!!! If I were to use 2 different colored yarns, 1 color for the sleeves and 1 for the body, how much of each yarn would you recommend to get?? Just trying to figure out how much yarn to buy... you explain everything so well, thank you so much!

    • @emmapcrochet
      @emmapcrochet  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! I would reccomend 200g for the body (100g front and 100g back) and 300g for the sleeves (150g for each) but if you want it to make the sweater bigger make sure to buy more yarn as it is exactly 100g for the front and back panel there isnt any spare yarn left 🤣💓

    Hi! Awesome tutorial- I’m still very new to crocheting so not sure I’ll be attempting this yet but it’s definitely made the future project list! Quick question- the ribbing effect is achieved when we single crochet through the front loop only, correct? And then when we turn after each row, we still continue to single crochet into the front loop only and that creates the ribbing effect? I’m just trying to get it clear in my mind cause I think it’ll definitely help me down the road!! Thanks! ❤️

      Hi! I've never actually made an off the shoulder top before so I wouldn't be confident in giving instructions! Maybe check out some different crochet off the shoulders tutorials on yt and see what they do to make it off shoulder and apply that here! xx

    I Loved your video and would like to make one for myself. However I could not find the pattern or the information needed to know the pattern sizes and the yarn you mentioned, the gauge needed, and the amount of yarn that is needed for each size. Is there a way to calculate how much yarn is needed if you use a different weight, or type of yarn? The reason I am asking is because I have a huge ball of #3 Acrylic that has about 1,250 yards I would like use for a sweater. All help is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Renaette

    Hello! I'm currently working on this sweater and I'm very excited of how easy it is to keep up with this tutorial (even as a non-native english speaker). I was just wondering if you used different kind of yarn when stitching the pieces together? If yes, can I use the same yarn I was crocheting the sweater with? Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial!

    Hi, Emma. I’m having a bit of trouble with the sizing of my body panels. I wanted to make it a sort of close fit and made it the exact length from hip to hip considering that it has a bit of stretch but once completed it seems tight like it won’t fit? Especially once it gets to my chest. Should I increase a bit after the cuff onwards to try and accommodate them? I’ve tried to redo the body pieces so many times 😭

    • @emmapcrochet
      @emmapcrochet  3 роки тому +1

      Hi! Oh no😭😭 Yes I would say try to increase after the bottom cuff to accomedate your chest, or you could keep the cuff at the bottom tighter and increase once you get halfway up, and closer to the chest area! It just depends on the style you want! And if the whole thing is a bit too tight maybe add an extra inch or two just to be safe! 💓

    this is amazing and im already done with the sleeves, but i just watched all the way through and im a lil confused about the neck part?
    you just sc two rounds into the main body and thats it? i thought there would be a similar kind of rib to the cuffs and the waist there, and the video ended so abruptly on that part that im not sure if i missed smth://
