Best one yet lovely work 👍🏼
Beautiful
I love it.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful chords and tone; so haunting and captivating!
Uillean pipes truly have a voice of their own. Sounds as though it’s really singing.
Sounds like what you expect to hear at the pearly gates.
This instrument truly amazes me. I’m a guitar player myself and listening to the way you “bend” notes on these pipes is beautifully baffling to me. Also, at times I can’t help but hear a similarity to Appalachian style fiddle. For example, right after you switched the drones on, I closed my eyes and a few phrases were indistinguishable from the fiddle! Love these videos, keep it up!
Hands down best version I’ve heard. Love how you started with no drones then brought them in later. Keep the music coming!
Will this be available for purchase on ITunes?
This is gorgeous. I've been obsessed with the Titanic score since I was 8 years old and no one could ever tell me what the main instrument was in the opening. IN LOVE with this sound and now I've found you I'm definitely going to think of a way to incorporate this into my music somehow haha
Ah yes, the beautiful Irish pipes
this instrument perfectly expresses emotion
Best version I've heard yet! Beautiful playing Chris 😉💙
Thank you so much, Chris. The whole world should listen to this right now. Beautifully done.
AMAZING indeed. I have played it so many times on the Great Highland BagPipes, but this gave me chills. Well done.
This version makes me miss my dad so much that I lost in 2016 to lung cancer. A proud Celtic American and a proud father, grandfather, and husband to my mother, he was one of the strongest people I knew. I miss him everyday. This song makes me feel like everything is ok now. No more pain. Yes there’s sorrow still knowing he’s gone, but there’s no more struggle or anguish. Thank you for this
I've heard this song a few times with Scottish pipes.
Love the sound of them, this is my first listen on Irish's pipes.
There's a magical sound that the Scott don't have.
The hair just stood up on the back of my neck. Awesome version Chris
@@derektalbot4887 Thank you Derek, feel free to share :)
@@ChrisMcMullan Will do pal
1st time viewer & I couldn't help but smile as tears rolled down my cheeks. It was simply beautiful & so heartfelt. Thank you
Sorry to bother you, as you may have already said: Who's pipes are these?

Thank you Chris, you've taken an already beautiful tune and made it even more meaningful and emotional... wonderful!
Loving the suspended chords Chris. Your musicality on the chanter is just superb
Bravo! Well done. For several years now, I have wished that some two artists, such as you, and perhaps a good
arranger, would get together and create a duet of this piece done with the uilleann pipes and a resonator dobro.
Properly arranged, I think the two instruments would complement each other quite well, especially on Amazing
Grace. Am I wrong?
Just gorgeous
Beautiful and perfect. I love it when more skilled musicians play these classic but simple tunes,it makes musical performance so much more accessible for us part timers.
Very nice Chris, ur new sub, JC Pno, liked too! 🎹🤟
The true treasure of humanity…… uillean pipe is really a amazing instrument.... I m crying.
Is the fingerings the same for the Uilleann Pipes and the tin whistle or Irish Penny whistle?
My favourite version
My Irish genes are so happy. Thank you!!
Words are truly insufficient!
Beautiful! Reading a book, these pipes were briefly discussed so I had to have a look & listen😊
Thanks for listening 😃
Brother Chris, I have no words to describe this. Absolutely AMAZING... pun intended.
Thank you Jay 👍
@@ChrisMcMullan at the end of the second stanza of the 2nd verse [its at the 2 min, 11 sec mark] there's 3 other harmonizing notes that go up while the main melody is played. Can you tell what this is and how its done. It seems that its something you did with your thumb of your right hand - the lower one. Cheers,
Your Scots-Irish brother in Tennessee.
How much would it cost to get the same set up you have?
Finally a tune I can play lol!
Very easy tune to learn on the pipes!
Chris, you are a rock star. Can I make a request? Can you play Coffin Dance on the pipes?
I just stumbled across this wondering what these pipes sound like and so glad I did. Absolutely beautiful. I subscribed. I wish I could play these and thank you for sharing.
More like Amazing Banger Alert :' )
Beautifully played. I've been learning on the chanter for a month and it's surprising how much I can pick up from just watching your fingers. Do you wear the headphones so you can hear the reverb and play more expressively in response to it?
I find it helps me get more of the feeling of the song yes. I don't use them all the time, but for a piece like this yes.
This is the first time of heard Uilleann Pipes and they sound like a beautiful blend between a Great Highland Bagpipe, a fiddle, a penny whistle, and a church organ for good measure
Just beautiful! It does my heart good even time I hear them.
excellant version best i have heard of amazing grace , your timing and notes are perfect
Thank you Freddy, do share if you like 🙂
excellent
Mesmerizing.... Your version is so beautiful.
Adding it to my FB page. Love the Irish take on different themes and soundtracks. Being a Bodhran player myself, I am used to beating everything from Thunderstruck to the Corrs.
Always trumps bagpipes.
Gigue porth mhuirghesa au diatoniques
Magnifique!!!! un talent et un son qui donne des frissons! comme j'aurais aimé avoir un petit don de la musique Irlandaise😍
😊 merci
This should have been on the Titanic soundtrack somehow. Very well done sir. 😁
Beautiful mellow sounds, fantastic rendition 👏👏👏👏👍
I've always wanted to learn the Uilleann pipes as I love the range and tone of the instrument. I was very fortunate to discover your channel. You have an amazing style and have mastered this instrument. You inspired me to take the leap into Uilleann piping. Thanks for all the amazing content and awesome playing.
Very beautiful mate! Nicely played.
Got something in my eye is all
I think I like Amazing Grace better on the uillean pipes than on the bagpipes.
Uilean pipes-Indoors close quarters. BagPipes-Out Doors in wide field [Highlands]
..absolutely beautiful !!!
Thanks Chris, a beautiful version. Loved the regs as always.
Bravo!
Rebels' pipes!!!!
my so tortured soul only yearns for its freedom and the payment of its tyrant masters
God free me from my master, I will free you from making him pay
Just a stupid question? What ear you in your audio cask? Nice perform, I have a lot of work to approach your skill on pipe.
Absolutely beautiful!!! Thanks!
Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful 😢. Made me cry to be honest. The first song I ever learned on bagpipes was Amazing Grace. Wonderful job
Thank you 😊💓. I am from Nova Scotia Canada and am so proud of my Scottish ancestry.
So that’s the sound when you strangle a cat properly? 🤣🙈, no, just kiddin’. Love cat’s, love this song, and love the Uillean pipes. You did a wonderful job there… 😄
1ère chanson et abonné 👍
Hello Chris, your Scots-Irish brother from Tennessee. Love your videos, and this one is stellar. Instant goosebumps. Could you be so kind as to post a link with the music or tell me what key it's in? Would be amazing with the "my chains are Gone" bridge.
Cheers, Loren Ozanne
Hello Chris- your Scots-Irish brother in Tennessee here. Love your channel and I've ordered my set of Uilleann Pipes- can't wait to get them.
In the 3rd verse, last note of the second stanza [its at 2:12 second mark and there's 3 other harmonizing notes that go up while the melody is held. For clarity- its the 3 notes that step up with the note on the last word in "grace my fears relieved". It seems its something with the thumb of your right hand. Is this done with drones or regulators or what? So beautiful.
My father is a marine in the last stages of vascular dementia and we want to play this at the funeral.
Loren Ozanne
Wow very very beautiful congratulations 🌹❤🌹❤
Beautiful, sound nice job. Amen
I'm just speechless Chris, THANK YOU so much for that.
I generally dislike that song, but that is the best version I have ever heard. I love the uillean pipes!

Mikey smith is jealous of your your regulators!! When ya going to play port na bpucai for us!!
Yep, that's how it's done. Beautiful.
Best version I ever heard from this tune … and that on my beloved pipes…always power to the elbow 😃
The pipes seer into the depth of the soul, to touch your deepest being. Pure music, inspiring the deepest feelings.
