    When you fold the stroller The Handlebar has to be extended to hold the stroller up The Handlebar acts like a kickstand

      True. This is not the best design though for when you need to fold outside, but does the trick especially for indoors

    If you fully extend the handle bar and put the breaks on before folding, the stroller will lock and stand in an upright position.

      +Marie-Hélène Bastien thank you! After playing around with the stroller, I've gotten to know the ins and outs better! I actually just uploaded a video on all the features of the stroller. Check it out! ua-cam.com/video/aXJh3J5drAg/v-deo.html

    lol there is a button on the middle of the wheel you press to get the wheel on and off. I was cringing watching you put those wheels on though you were going to break the new stroller

      +Luda G lol tech people don't read instructions, but that was a prime example of why we all should!

    I can't find this stroller anywhere in US, even worse when the issue was only picking it up from the border. I hope it'll be available in May AND in Henry as well. So disappointed about the backorders and the slow product release in Canada. Any idea where it's possible to find it? thanks!

    been looking around for a good understanding as why to get the bassinet/stroller as opposed to the car seat/stroller.. Could you provide some insight .. I would think moving the baby back and forth from the car seat to the bassinet might wake them up.. and also doesn't this mean that the bassinet is one more thing that takes up space in the trunk of the car?

      Hi Benjamin! Great question, we were thinking about this for a while too. There were a few reasons why we decided to go ahead with a bassinet stroller (specifically the UPPAbaby Vista). Firstly, we plan on using the bassinet from the stroller as the primary place the baby will be sleeping for the first few months; our apartment has limited space so figured this could save us a lot of room. The UPPAbaby bassinet is sleep safe approved and therefore, you don't need to worry about leaving the baby in the bassinet for extended periods of time (e.g. while on a walk, doing errands, overnight, etc.) Secondly, from my understanding, a baby shouldn't be left in a carseat for extended periods of time for safety reasons. That being said, if the baby is asleep in the bassinet and I'm on a walk, I don't need to worry about waking the baby after a certain amount of time, or about transferring the baby from the carseat with the possibility of waking them up. We did get a carseat adapter that we can connect our car seat to the stroller so for quick errands/car outings, we can rely on having the baby stay in the car seat, and would only bring the bassinet as well if we were planning on having the baby be in that as part of the outing (it definitely takes up a lot of space and is hard to transport as an extra piece, but it is a great portable option for sleeping that replaces the need to bring a crib or other sleep-safe device). Hope that helps and let us know if you have anymore questions!!

    lol, the fact that you were calling the toddler seat a 'rumble seat' irked me. the rumble seat is actually a completely different seat; looks similar, but a little smaller and meant to be used with the lower attachments to make it a double stroller. the rumble seat can be used in combination with the toddler seat, or with the bassinet.

    Where did you purchase the bassinet stand

      We got our bassinet stand from amazon - it’s the jolly jumper universal stand. Not shown in this video but you can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/WMO-DCSQRLc/v-deo.html

    Can We buy as an accessory the cover in other colors? Supposing we have a girl as our second baby

    • @TechBabyYT
      @TechBabyYT  7 років тому

      It may be possible because most of the fabric is removable for washing, however, it does not seem that uppababay sells these covers separately on their website. The customer service is great though, so is definitely worth calling and speaking with them directly to see what your options are!

    I have been eyeing this stroller can you tell me how you got it shipped to Canada? I was going to order it then go pick it up at one of those locations close to the border. I am due in may so I really wanted it ahead of time but now it's back ordered!

    • @TechBabyYT
      @TechBabyYT  7 років тому

      +Mandie Scott We had the same idea is you, and we called around until we found it at Nordstrom, which was the only place that actually had it in stock (it was “preorder” everywhere else). (Note: Nordstrom shipped it within the US from a further location to a store nearer to the border for free.) Unfortunately crossing the border comes with a heavy duty tax, and the exchange rate right now is particularly tough on the CAD. (Luckily, in our case, someone in the logistics industry coordinated that for us as a gift.) From our understanding, the 2017 model should be available here in a couple months, which might be the best option as some of the parts vary by country. HOWEVER, if you do wait to get it locally, make sure that's "in stock" wherever you plan to get it and not as "preorder", as some stores were not totally forthcoming about that until we asked for specifics. We definitely suggest speaking to Uppababy directly (we spoke to both Canada and US branches to get all the info). Hope that helps, let us know if you have any other questions. Best of luck with everything!

      I found one a store that finally wasnt on pre order and I managed to order just in time since they are now on pre order at that store until mid May. It's being shipped close to the border and we are picking it up this weekend. I tried calculated the tax ahead based on this site I came across and fingers crossed it looks like we will probably break even or a bit extra but it gets me it before baby arrives. My fear was waiting until it comes to Canada and then its on back order in Canada and I am due in May and then not being able to get the full use out of the basinette. Thanks for all your help:) I can't wait to push mine around my main floor this weekend haha

      Hi Mandie. Do you mind sharing where you managed to find it available in store? Was it in 'henry' as well? I am looking everywhere for it. I'm due the end of May but most probably will have the baby earlier, if not anytime soon. I don't know what to do about this stroller thing. Thanks!

    Mostly all strollers with bassinets are sleep approved.. The Nuna Mixx2 stroller Bassinet is actually way better than the Uppababy Vista Bassinet. You obviously didn't do that much research lol.

    Sucha flimsy stroller comparing to european strollers...

    • @TechBabyYT
      @TechBabyYT  7 років тому

      +Natalie - I think this is one of the more sturdy ones (at least in North America). Would love to hear about which strollers you have come across that are more flimsy and maybe we will try to do a comparison video!

      I agree. The European brands are 100x better. I am American and live overseas... i have family who think they get the fanciest strollers and just because its $1000 doesn't mean its well made. I've found MANY quality brands over these "trendy"strollers.
