is this album about the Timeline of our lives?
The record is about 2 characters fighting each other, and they have to save both their civilizations, but they just can’t do it. They’re in control of their civilizations future… but then you actually find out that theirs only 1 person, who’s actually fighting with himself; he’s unhappy with who he is when he looks in the mirror and realizes he can’t grow past his indifferences, and that he actually just isn’t a good person… and these people in his civilization die. The thing cool about the track Odyssey is that the story then takes place after the civilization is destroyed, and the character leaves on a spaceship somewhere else looking for a new start. This track will lead into our second record, which will be about him looking for a new start. It will be a more hopeful record

I have to say that I enjoyed the tune and am impressed with the musicianship. Growing up on the original Star Trek and reading such authors as Isaac Asimov and Gene Rodenberry as a young teen and then throw in listening to metal before it was called metal in the latter '70's, I found the lyrics to certainly be thought provoking and if there are only two of you, the sound that you emit is quite impressive. I applaud you for not pigeon holing yourselves into a particular genre, because I agree that metal is metal. First I remember acid rock, and then heavy metal, and then before you know it there is like 20 different genres of heavy metal. What the hell? If I had to describe my tastes in sub genres, I would have to say classic metal (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest), progressive metal (Dream Theater, Vanden Plas) and thrash metal (Overkill, Death Angel), but I am also a huge Clutch fan as well as Trivium, Helloween, and Body Count, but out of everything that I have listened to till now, your sound is a very refreshing and I will not classify it (as I do not like to be classified, because if you do, you become homogenized), but add it to my swiss army knife of metal taste. I see that you have a streaming event on April 4th and I will do my best to be there. Good luck and now I am off to peruse some more of what you have to offer.

To be honest, L’eau was written on a rock on a lake called Papineau lake and was truly inspired by nature and jamming, no direct influence from other artists! Glad you’re enjoying Bereavement! Enjoy and hopefully we can tour near you in the future. 🤟🏻
