Dude, you missing the point here. They are more expensive because they come with more ram and more storage and better cpu. if you buy the 512gb storage and 16gb ram, it will only cost you $749, which is almost the same as the competidors. In my opinion the OneX Fly is a must buy. Just the more ram alone makes a difference. I own a Rog Ally and ram is always a problem on some games, especially because you have to share your ram with the gpu as a vram.
Our OneXFly is a daily driver for one of us, and we love that it's a powerhouse (and it really is!), we'd liked to have seen it closer to that $750 number around launch. It might be worth a revisit head-to-head when we cycle in some new hardware. Thanks for your thoughts!
Don't buy it. I got one and the trigger stuck I went to reset it and it's now stuck in boot loop. Also you can't find any tips or tricks to fix anything. I feel like onexplayer scrubs the internet for anyone who reports problems. I got so frustrated trying fixes I'm returning it. I bought a legion go its supposed to not be as powerful as the fly but holy shit ! It's way more snappy and I was getting better frames for everything. Hope this helps.
As far as we can tell, you should be able to pick them up now at onexplayerstore.com and a few other resellers. Though, we're checking from the U.S., so world-wide availability might be different.
It really is a curious choice by the folks at ONEXPLAYER. We looked into a bit, asked some tech minded people about it, and they were stumped too. Plenty of ideas, but they were all along the lines of "...maybe they did it for [reason]?", but nothing definitive.
