Doesn't work! This is a mg zt you have done it on, not a rover 75. The strut is nearly 2 inches shorter and can be done without removing the bottom ball joint. A 75 with the longer shocks must have the ball join removed before the hub is removed from the strut!
@@HaynesManuals you still have not changed the video title. Thanks for wasting my morning hammering a hub that won't come out. Now i have to put it all back together to go buy a ball join splitter. FML
Splendid! Greatest tutorial video for Rover 75 I have ever seen. Appreciated.
Glad it was helpful!
Definitely one that was prepared earlier.
Handy vid, changing front springs for Mot. Will also be using your paper manual, thanks.
Thanks!
Nut sizes would help... many thanks
Great video! But that anti roll bar link should’ve been replaced too! A tear in the rubber like that is an MOT fail
Great video. Just hope the pinch bolt comes out as the can seize
I hope so too
How do you get the strut back into the hub? Been trying for about two hours and can't get it in
Make sure you've got the flange on the back of the strut aligned with the slot in the clamp, then spread the clamp a little using a wedge/chisel etc.
@@HaynesManuals I got it sorted, took the bottom ball joint out and got it in fine, strange it doesn't say to do that in the manual
@@Thefog666 agree with the fog, tried to do it via the manual and no luck, the bottom ball joint needs to be removed.
I got it in with spring compressors - awkward indeed.
What about the motor yoke? Did you remove it?
Motor yoke?
I meant the metal support placed right under the engine.
I got it. It needs to be removed.

Thanks for letting us know. We'll get the video title changed

Also agree this won’t work on a Rover 75 - as Robson above, I now have to put it all back together to remove lower ball joint. Shame on you Haynes!
