This is an outstanding recording of Jeu de cartes. Very, very exciting to listen to and yet at the same time very beautiful. All I can say is, Stravinsky was such a clever composer. A true genius. When I was a kid dad had a recording of the rite of spring. The first time I heard it I thought to myself, who is this composer. This is just fantastic. From that time on I was hooked on Stravinsky's music. Thanks to dad. Anyways, Thank you so much for uploading this magnificent recording.
Thank you very much for posting this. Recordings have apparently disappeared, and this is a good one. I actually AM NOT IMPRESSED BY STRAVINSKY--there, I've said it--but this piece is terrific and my hero, Charles Munch, makes the most of it. Munch was a better musician than I am. [signer] Deloss Brown, who heard Munch live 1958-1968. He had people jumping out of their seats, and when he played "Printemps" the whole building jumped up and down. I am proud that I have his autograph.

Glorious ! An exqusite rendering by the BSO and Munch , thank you for sharing !
Absolutely stunning work. And the conduction of Munch is also a top class.

What a Surpris! Thanks very MUCH!
My only question about Jeu de cartes is this: How can anything so delicious be non-fattening?
Nice piece! That third movement definitely has some Barber of Seville influence going on.
