Deciding to hold space for someone while they’re on a psychedelic or deciding that someone is going to hold space for you while you are on a psychedelic is a big decision. Trip sitting can be incredibly rewarding. You can help support people through finding deep healing and clarity-or simply support them through a very challenging moment. If someone is trip sitting for you, it can completely shape the experience for good or for bad, even if the person has good intentions, so it’s important to ask the right questions before the experience begins.

I was trip-sitting with someone who was very much concerned with time - their day is normally very ordered and things happen at a particular time. There was a big wall clock. During the trip the subject became very disorientated about the clock not making sense, and it was troubling to them. I removed the clock, and things settled down. On subsequent trips where I've sat this person, we have agreed to have the clock removed as part of the set up. Sometimes things need doing that you couldn't necessarily predict.

I like this. I did a psychedelic study sponsored by Usona. The facilitators were wonderful. It was my first major experience with psilocybin. We got exact quantities in capsules. No strain has had the same quality of effect since. We use the word potency but I would use the word purity instead. We met with the facilitators repeatedly. I think they've done study for like a dozen psychedelics by now. I wish I coulda made it into the 5meo

Always have the Grateful dead live in concert handy to play on a portable speaker while you get away from any man made environment. Take them to the park , woods , a field , beach , desert, or just about anywhere where there are no people. But...if you want to go to the other side, play this... The Residents "MARK OF THE MOLE" album and see the deep visuals inside this musical experimental masterpiece 👌 😍 ( back in the 80s, 6:41 it was standard 6:41 to trip and listen to Mark of the mole . It was massively known among The University of Maryland College kids for many many years.

I no much like the Dead. It was great for what it was and if that's your vibe, that's your vibe.
In my late teens to mid 20s harsher tones like Cradle of Filth were more my speed. Now? Shpongle, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Aes Dana, Ott, Heilung, Skuggsjá, SKÁLD... Stuff like that.
But as I said, the Dead was your vibe. 🙃🤙🍄

Times change and people become more educated, empathetic, and understanding. Maybe not you… lol, but many people. Especially the people at Double Blind and those that take this all ‘so seriously’.
Theres so much more information available about mental health stability and harm reduction now, compared to your way back when times. It should be taken seriously. You can have fun but if you arent careful you can also have a psychiatric stabilization event. Consider not shaming people with your own free wheeling behaviors from decades ago.

@@myco_chaotix Thanks for reminding me why I try and keep my comments to myself. Really wish people would lighten up while they still can. I make a light hearted comment and here comes the big bad key board police to put me in my place. I have re-read what I typed several times and don't see where I shamed anyone. The first sentence is a true statement about myself then and has been true about myself for 50 years of travelling around the world enjoying myself, friends, strangers, and all kinds of situations. The last three words I typed as a sentence fragment are also true and offer no hint of shaming someone that I can see but maybe it's hidden from me by my ignorance. Hmmmm I don't know. A video from this channel popped up when I opened UA-cam this afternoon and I have been really enjoying watching about 8 videos in a row from this channel and decided to subscribe and get the notifications when a new one comes out. I get excited and type a comment and I forget that I have a personal rule not to do that. It's been a long time since I commented on anything so I forgot (senior moment). Sorry if I shamed or hurt someone. Soon the wife and I will have enough in savings to buy a dream piece of land out where there is no cell signal where we can build a new totally self sufficient homestead. We have loved this one for a long time but it has become too close to civilization. With no access I won't have to try and remember not to comment. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for setting me straight and thank you for the enjoyable videos on this cold and rainy afternoon. If you want me to unsubscribe just let me know, no problomo

@@myco_chaotixWho was shamed by this human's comment? They made a perfectly astute assessment of Double Blind by stating they were serious about their work.
      Did I miss something? 🤔
Most of us find entheogens through play. It's only after we start looking into it we find the therapeutic potential.
Remember, not everyone is at the same stage in their journey. Extend empathy.

Please know that there's much more than just "gate keepers" reading your words. Of the two of you, I would say there was only one that brought shame to the conversation. It wasn't you.

I feel like all centers doing this are a scam. I prefer to do this with people I know that won't take my money to watch me during a trip.
