NO pressure or anything, but please write a Christmas song this year. When I laugh that helps me cope. All the things you mentioned in this video I agree with 100%
growing up I had a second family through a friend. His dad was a decan in the church and a parole officer. Imagine that. 40 years later I still remember this man, of so few words, and what he's taught me. Not the least of which is dump the boob tube. Not to let that poison into the home.
i so needed to hear this today, so spun up over election results, among other things, can't sleep... This is the first peaceful moment I've experienced in days. Thanks for reminding me to lean on Him.
This is awesome, Brant! When I am anxious I try to thank God for little things that make me happy that I never thank God for. Like the color purple, a child's laugh or the way the sun feels on my face on a warm spring day, these are things I love but never seems important enough to stop and Thank Him for. We should.
Thanks Brant! This was great!! I’ve struggled with some anxiety for the past few months and I’ve found number 3 is definitely what helps me the most. I think it’s so easy in the midst of anxiety to forget about how faithful God is, and it’s amazing how much peace I experience when I take moment to remember how good God is!
Thank you, Brant. Anxiety wasn't something I'd ever struggled with until the pandemic, and somehow it seems to be getting worse as I anticipate going back into social situations. Your timing for sending this was perfect. :)
I totally agree with you 110%!!! I started raising chickens (broilers) hens layers and trying to be a gardener too. Thank you for sharing.... love you in Christ.
Item 1 took me a long time to learn and actually implement. I had to fight the impression that i was 'underinformed'. *** Item 2 i learned from my therapist. I am still practicing it. :) *** Item 3, it's important to really explore this. So many times we almost refuse to see because we won't acknowledge what He has done. It also reminds us that He will continue to be "on our side" and will help us through what we go through. Daily. Thank you Brant!
We don't have tv, so we don't watch the news. It really does help a LOT. Of course, it also gives me a good reason to get busy on that song I'm writing called, "I never know why the flag is at half-mast".
My best friend & I were talking about anxiety today. We both struggle with it. Thank you, Brant, for offering this advice. I am sharing the video with her now. I'm enjoying the "3 Things' series
You can clear your mind, supposedly, but what will move in when you're done? If you want to meditate, meditate on God's word. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind; not being empty.
It's perfect! Your words are Protection to me! Thank you! I thank Jesus for you!❤😊

Very good advice Brant!
Great thoughts! I always hear “clear your mind” which I believe is impossible! Yes! Filling the mind with Godly thoughts is the key. 😊
Especially when filling your mind is so much better if you do it with the right things!
This was awesome! Thank you so much!

Always good to remember to see how God came through. I love journaling for that reason!

Brant this was very insightful! Thanks!
For my anxiety I like using Anglican prayer beads and saying the Julian of Norwich prayer.
What is that?
You can clear your mind, supposedly, but what will move in when you're done?
