Claire is queen obviously. BUT BRO you gotta compare my REG banana bread next time. Those nuts and seeds make the "everything" version a touch drier than the reg. Im not surprised she smoked mine TBH. Cool vid. Cool channel. Subbed.
"Hey Bri!" you are the people's champ. Thanks for taking time to show some love! Claire may have outdid your banana bread this time but let me be clear, there was no you getting "smoked" in this banana battle. The only person that got smoked was Tasty tbh 🤫😅. Will defs give the reg a try though!
TRY MY BANANA BREAD RECIPE 2 LOAVES! Ingredients: 16 Bananas Must be blackend from age. keep them off flat surface while aging. Don't let rot. 2 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour 1 tsp salt 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 cup milk 1 cup coconut oil melted 1 cups dark brown sugar (original recipe called for 2 cups, so up to you) 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract, but much prefer Rodelle vanilla bean paste from Kroger! 2 tbsp Cinnamon ------------------------------------------------- Preheat oven to 350° put your bananas on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and stab them with a fork about 6 times. Cook them for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. They will come out solid black. Cut a slit all the way down the bananas, and scoop out banana into a bowl. Pour clear liquid into bananas. MASH THEM! Sift your flour into large mixing bowl. Add the rest of your ingredients into mixing bowl, exept the bananas...and you need to use a mixer idealy. Now add the bananas and mix them, but don't over do it. Just enough to get them evenly mixed in. Coat cast iron loaf pan with butter (cast iron is best if you can get one) Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes on 350 (should be no more than 60-70 percent full for one pan.) EASY
claire's banana bread is my all time favourite banana bread! i don't really like almonds or almond butter so i actually use peanut butter and it's literally amazing, so easy to make and so delicious!
Claire is my go to for recipes. I've made things from other bakers and had mixed responses but her recipes are always 10/10 and she is so great at explaining why we are doing something, so everything has a purpose. Her pumpkin pie recipe is amazing!! I got praised to the high heavens when I made it for Thanksgiving.
I happened watched all that banana bread recipes before I stumbled on your video.. and to NOT my surprise and even though I haven't tried it yet, I thought that Claire's recipe is the best of the three, and your video just validated my thoughts! Thanks for saving me time and effort! Instant sub.
please make more recipe comparison videos! they're so informative and helpful especially when you're trying to narrow down which ones are worth going through all the effort to make.
The best banana bread we've ever had was at a random place on the side of the road in Maui on the road to Hana. There's multiple places making banana bread there. But the bananas are also different than here and so much better. The banana used in the recipe can be such a game changer too.
Try out some chocolate chip cookies! I was about to make Brian's recipe, but this vid popped up and I switched to Claire's (which turned out fantastic).
Hey man. This was super useful. I was trying to figure out which bread to make, and the fact that you said Claire's was what you want to eat when you have BB. I will be making it this week. Great review. I like how you evaluated it and talked about why you enjoyed certain things more or less.
Love your recipe comparisons! I am YT-taught in the kitchen and before I give anything new a try I scour the favorite chef creators here for their variations. You choose many of the same channels I love and to see those recipes made by someone other the their authors gives me the courage to try it for myself. Thanks for sharing, keep it up 😊
That is so awesome! This is exactly why I make these videos! Thank you so much for letting me know! Any other authors/recipes that you'd like to see? Always taking recommendations!
Thank you for the video. I just started Brian 's banana bread recipe, the basic kind. I also didn't have all bananas that were ripened. So, I used his method of baking the banana to soften, which makes the smell so good. Anyway, I will find out how it tastes and report back. The only cheat that I did was putting sea salt flakes on top before baking.😅😊
Thanks for leaving a comment! Yes, Brian's recipe is definitely a game changer for me. Absolutely delicious, but more on the breakfast banana bread for sure. Let me know what you think when you finish, it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts!
I mean, one really shouldn't be surprised that Claire's turns out so good... she's pretty amazing. Interesting that the lack of molasses flavour helps bring out so much great banana flavour. Thanks for this Ajay! Excellent comparison!
I’ve made many many loaves of banana bread over the years but the first time I saw Claire make it, I started using her recipe and never looked back. My family was like, “shut the front door, this is by far the best banana bread you’ve ever made mom! I’ve made many of Brian and Clair’s recipes and both these chefs are top tier. Love them both. Never made a Tasty recipe.
I watched cause I just made a basic banana bread yesterday, it had like sour cream, and yea, was basic but good. I love banana bread lol great vid, thanx for doing that knowledgeable test!
I have made Brian's before and it's okay, though it's a bit too heavy on the molasses imo, and like you said it covers up the banana flavor despite using so many bananas. I'll have to give Claire's a try for sure, it looks great!
Julia’s banana bread , It's the most perfect banana bread there is. Practical, simple and delicious. I always leave the bananas frozen, to improve the acidity and sweetness. And I use turbinado sugar
Ok this has convinced me to try claires banana bread the next i see bananas on sale. I'm always really happy to see those huge bags of way over ripe bananas for 1$ in the clearance section. My favourite banana bread recipe is the one by Abby Mandel, but ive been really loving the one from America's Test Kitchen. I've been itching to try the tahini banana bread by Thalia Ho, too. Great video!
I had the same reaction after trying Claire’s banana bread. I used walnut butter instead of almond and it is insane how good it is. It’s probably been a year since I’ve made it but definitely need to do this one again while maybe adding some walnuts or pecans to get some texture.
i think i like the everything banana bread in concept the best because i love varieties in my foods. next would be claire saffitz bc seems easier than the tasty one haha
That's a good question. I think the oil acts the same as the butter. It seemed like more of a flavour profile that kind of mimicked the coconut oil she used in the topping
@@TheCultureofCookery oh, so you can really taste the coconut oil? I was thinking of making it but my teenage daughter hates coconut! Thanks for your reply
I don’t think it’s anything you did wrong with the Tasty recipe because mine came out the same way, it was extremely moist to the point of being wet. I cooked it about 20 minutes longer than the recipe suggested trying to a clean toothpick and even after that it still seemed to have a wet, undercooked texture. Although it did have good flavor and was most likely thoroughly cooked, I still threw it away. I will continue looking for a good banana bread recipe.
@@TheCultureofCookery Your welcome, I really like your vibe and will be checking out your other videos. Also thanks for introducing me to Brian’s channel, I really like his videos too although I’m going to make Claire’s recipe.

I made the regular. I think the molasses try to do to much but that's just me.

Cool, thanks so much!
Well now I have to try Claire’s in comparison to my grandma’s recipe. Also why is banana bread and milk like the most perfect snack ever?
Yes, her version is definitely worth the try. Couldn't agree more though I typically like to have mine with a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate! 😁
Great Video...i was wandering if Claire's banana bread was worth making...so now I'm going to try it. Thanks!
Definitely worth the try at least once!

Hi, i was wondering why Claire used coconut oil, is it for flavor or texture? Thanks for doing the hard work for us!
That's a good question. I think the oil acts the same as the butter. It seemed like more of a flavour profile that kind of mimicked the coconut oil she used in the topping

No death please! Though diehard fanning may be encouraged 😅
Cool, thanks now have you compared claire's to Natasha's from Natasha's Kitchen? I love hers!!
Not yet!
More please!!!
👍🏽😁
I wonder if adding baking soda to the tasty recipe elevates it?
Maybe? I also think I under baked this specific one...
The Tasty one was definitely underdone and needs to be redone.
I've tried these and a few other recipes. I prefer Thomas Joseph's recipe.
Ohhh that would be the kitchen conundrums guy? Good to know! They also have a great waffle recipe.
