I used to have some trauma regarding cigarettes due to some pretty rough events in my childhood but oddly enough it was this scene in Initial D that kind of changed that.
I'm still not big on cigarettes (though judging by the comments most aren't lol) but I always loved this scene, the eurobeat lined up flawlessly with what was happening and there was something so comedic about Bunta's need to light a smoke mid drift with Yuichi panicking that had me cry laughing
That said, I swear despite how many times I've rewatched this anime I've _never_ seen Yuichi's reaction at 0:27 and him "bracing" himself before he says he's ready then cutting to Bunta shifting, the 86's gauge cluster revving and Bunta speeding up.
Whenever I watched this scene it went like this;
Bunta: "I think I'm going to speed up a little, Yuichi"
_Cut to surprised Yuichi_
Yuichi: "Eh?!" "Hold on Bunta!"
