Tourist advice from a tourist - I miss Staffs, Giffs, Coach N Four, Pandora, Timbers, Hosers, Hogs Breath, Little Bar, Victor Sherrods, Jamaica Joes, the Sound, Summerhouse, Liolios the Old FWB
They are all hit and miss as far as I have been told (my sister is a nurse in the area) and the general consensus seems to be that the job satisfaction seems to be very hit and miss depending on the team you're on
Thanks D'Artagnan Porthos! Everytime this video pops up with a comment I shake my head a little because it was right in the smack of COVID and I was letting my beard grow out because we were all partially on lockdown so I figured why not, too funny!
Pensacola has lower-cost options for housing, it's one of the few areas in our scope where a sub-100k home is still possible to find. Most liveable homes will be fairly comparable, though. As far as the cost of living in general, there isn't much of a difference between the two.
Served in the Air Force at Hurlburt Field a few years ago, now my family and I are looking at moving back because I loved living there and they loved visiting the area!
Well thank you for your service Tony, and we can't wait to have you back. AFSOC moved me here in 2006 and I couldn't leave so I get what you mean about wanting to come back!
Mother of all bombs in the parking lot is a plus at the museum. And the 130 gunship is pretty dope too. A great fishing spot in under the bridge to okaloosa island. I pulled some 35-50 pound black and red drum under that bridge with blue crab and even hermit crab as bait. AL’s and AJ’s has good baked oysters. And if you working at any of the bases a round fort Walton beach , the breakers condos on okaloosa island will honor the government rate. And that’s a really nice sea side room eith balcony and ocean view for that price. And the best western is nice too if your on a budget and are just vacationing.
Lol. Thanks. I love the area. I work on jet engine test cells for the Air Force. I can’t wait until I get to go back to Elgin. The wife and I love that area.
@@rl2769 oh awesome almost everybody on our team is connected to the military, I was a loadmaster at Eglin and Hurlburt, love the area as well if that wasn't obvious 😆
Iam coming to fort Walton beach Florida for my brothers 27th birthday and I’ve saw that it’s a island? I do NOT like islands at all! I’ve never been to one but they scare me and I know this is really stupid but when we’re there I feel like a tsunami would come that’s my fear of going
Life on the Emerald Coast GREAT! I loved the snorkeling trip that we did the water was as clear as the Bahamas the air museum was closed so we just walked around the it looking at all the aircraft etc and it was nice to try whataburger and now I’m addicted but can’t have it anymore
Oh geez, yes Whataburger is amazing, sorry to hear it isn't near you, where is home? And that armament museum is pretty cool, you likely didn't get to go inside, they have a bunch of cool stuff in there too, and mini movies and such too
@@jonbrollinsface2420 Well come on back and get yourself some Whataburger anytime! I am glad to hear you had an amazing time here! It sure is beautiful!
You might be surprised, I have lived here since 2005 and I have only evacuated one time. Although my limit for an evacuation vs yours might be different.
Haha the swamp, haven't heard that in a while! That place is a church now, but yes I've been there a few times despite the fact I'm not a club person and never have been, even at the ripe age of 21
@@LifeOnTheEmeraldCoast NOoo, homie! You are talking about NIGHTOWN in Destin.Thats the one they hosed down with bleach and made into a church. I worked there too. The Swamp was on the island at the boardwalk. They built Floyd's inside of the club. It's Al's burger joint now. My parents retired in Fdub, so I still visit frequently. Best beaches in the US.
@@LifeOnTheEmeraldCoast It for real was "fight town" for a minute. Those amateur boxing nights were a crapshow. NWF is a special part of the south and I neither deny nor confirm I am a product of it...but dang if I don't know how to get into trouble while getting out of it..

I just moved to Fort Walton Beach and your channel is very helpful. Much appreciated.

I can not wait to try Rockin Tacos. Thank you!
Of course, Amy! If you like margaritas, they have a jalapeno margarita that is pretty amazing and totally unique you should try!
I used to be a night time security guard at the Gulfarium. Around 1982, Wayside Park was still there.
Awesome!

The thing that makes this video great is the Husky that is running in the dog park; she is literally the queen of the park😂
That's funny you mentioned it, me and Emily (who helps me shoot video) said something very similar, she is just living her best life
Thanks im going to be moving there! Now i know where to go!!!

Thinking about moving here after I get my nursing degree. What are the hospitals like?
