    You never mentioned Charles Grant senior or Brig. Peter Young (who wrote “ Charge! Or how to play Wargames “ who pushed me into Horse and Musket Wargames from ACW gaming (with 54mm. Britain’s Toys) and WWII 54mm and later 20mm Airfix.
    I should really write the progress of Lt. von Kornberg whose father the Erb Prinz advised him to join a cavalry regiment, because, at least the horse would know where it was going.
    This lead me to napoleonic gaming and competition games, which were all good fun.
