Lyrics:
Hundreds of things, I’ve never said
Clear the air let me talk instead.
Quit twisting the strings that you stitched in my back.
Take off your shoes while you roam in my head
Selfish enough to leave a mess instead.
You’re wasting, your time here.
My mind's made, don’t intrude on my space.
I’m pulling all my teeth,
To try and feel something.
Pace the floor again
Thinking back to when we began.
I’m just not ready
I’m just not ready, to go
With nothing to show
Break the knot we tied strong.
All the time we spent wrong.
Always speaking with tongue, in cheek.
My interest in you’s bleak.
You’re wasting, your time here.
My mind's made, don’t intrude on my space.
I’m pulling all my teeth,
To try and feel something.

Thanks to everyone jamming this in 2020, we’ve since signed to Pure Noise Records - which is where you can find all of our new music. The remainder of the songs in our discography are posted on Mutant League Records channel. Have a good one 🤘🏼
Hope you guys brought along who ever did the sound engineering cause that guy knows how to make a drum kit sound crisp on every song 🤙🏻
_Idiot_ Savant looks like you you’ve never been to a Belmont show. The drummer sounds exactly the same live. He is extremely talented. He is like a robot not a human .
Danny Walsh he talked about sound engineering in the record (mixing and mastering), not in the show
played with you dudes in Keokuk, IA right after your first EP release. Think Taz, Sam, and Bryan are the only members left from then. Straight proof hard work pays off.
Best underground pop punk band in the game....love u guys
Well, I'm 7 years late
Better late than never to hear a song as killer as this one. This band is awesome
That’s what I’m saying lol
Dude I actually saw these dudes in concert years ago and am not realizing until now how hard they go, thanks to that song ssx trickmont. So add me to the list lmao
@@LOATHIN9 hell yeah my dudes, this band has re-ignited a musical passion inside me that had been sorta dormant. They go hard as F, and I’ve been getting into a few of their other tracks like “Albert”, another banger.

Dude for real. I'm mad that neither UA-cam nor any of my friends ever thought to recommend them to me. I had to find them through random a playlist for Tiny Moving Parts and Free Throw....

Do you guys have a lead guitarist?
No, but we have a lead drummer..
im dying XD
haha no shit man. Hes all over the place. he's incredible
fire doe
This was basically what my band was like. The drummer was 100x better than the rest of us. Lol jazz does that.
Fun fact about their drummer. He's really freakishly tall. Not like a mountain, but like 6' 6" or around their. When I met them last year, Brian towered over the rest of the band.
When a drummer can make a 4 piece kit sound like a 6 piece, they are a technical and talented drummer. He used every bit of that kit in such a solid way. Respect. Fuck yeah, Belmont!
"How many fill do you plan on having?", guy just said yes
you literally listening ultra edited drums (if not all programmed)
@@PabPapp1 everything is edited, it's modern music, what's the issue?
@@PabPapp1 Bands like this almost always record the drum set via acoustic drums (and occasionally with an electronic set). Then, certain pieces like kick & snare are replaced to have more consistent velocity (attack). I don't see a problem with that at all-especially considering 100% of this song is entirely playable in a live setting.
@@ClovislacI guess the issue he was bringing up was that it’s programmed/triggers- therefore the whole “he makes a 4 piece kit sound like a 6 piece” thing is irrelevant…also the fact that it’s a music video kinda makes the whole argument pointless I guess
Every one is talking about the drums and rightfully so, but those guitar riffs are nothing simple. Such a sick sound. Keep it up boys.
Those Telecasters are ripping up this song with sensational riffs and breakdowns!!!
Telecasters can knock your teeth out in the right hands... and I don't mean as a weapon lol!
As a drummer myself, gotta say the guitar work is pristine here.
electric guitar is weapon🤘🔥

Sounds like Pop Punk, Melodic Hardcore and a little bit of Math Rock all together. Awesome!
And some djent elements though.
Chewbie Gummy perfectly blend
What the hell is math rock? Back in my day your hair was long or it was short.
Icarus cloud math rock lol guess he’s saying the lead singers a nerd
To all you ignorant kids that don't know shit about music or it's history...
Mathcore is a subgenre of hardcore punk/metalcore influenced by post-hardcore, extreme metal and math rock that developed during the 1990s. Bands in the genre emphasize complex and fluctuant rhythms through the use of irregular time signatures, polymeters, syncopations and tempo changes.
Talk about an uplift and possibly the best pop punk core ever written
The drummer is a break-God!!! Look at the variation he creates from just a basic kit. Crazy footwork.
Check out Casey dietz playing “No star”. Dudes an indie legend.
This song is what happens when a band gives the drummer the pen for songwriting
Chad Miller fucking respect man
A drummer should with the talent, be able to "write their own parts," rather than some producer of a record label do something like add the drums via program himself and tell the drummer that is what he needs to play. Just saying I've seen it, strong drummers deserve to shine and this is a good genre for it
Pay attention kids. This is what you call "The Righteous Pocket" and these little fuckers live there.
Taz rights there songs tho
I saw Belmont last night and Brian told me he wrote Overstepping
0:10 drum solo starts
3:56 drum solo ends

Right?
三好市Red the intro reminded me of bloom by neck deep
The breakdown at 0:32 is just well-written, holy fuck. The hardness on the drums and riffs on guitars and bass make it one of the best parts of the song.

This video really is the best modern pop punk cultural snapshot.
just wanted to say that the riff when the song kicks in, around 30 seconds in, is the most bangin riff i've ever heard in my entire existence
That riff keeps me going back to this song
THAT SHIT GOES SO HARD
This song has always been my fave by them, because the very first riff is already sick, but when that second one hits?!?! it's like two intros in one.. so good!
Yep, that's the part that really hooked me. Super heavy, despite its actually kinda really 'dirt' tone and lack of chugs or anything. Just a perfect example of mixing heaviness and melody without being that generic Gothenberg stuff(which is cool, just overdone).
This drummer, this song-GOAT status
Everybody keeps talking about the drummer being crazy good. Give those guitarist some credit. Some pretty shreddy guitar work haha
These people have never seen a drummer do more than just be wallpaper I guess.
It’s not that, they’re all very good, the people talking about the drummer are people who really understand music and their place in genres and the drummer is absolutely killing it in comparison to really what he could be getting by with.
Justin Unger drummer wrote and recorded all instrumentals when he was 16. He is multi instrumentalists . All credits goes to him.
For real dude these guys are great

The kids a MONSTER!!!!!
Half Hearted Hero has a sick drummer too
Knuckle Puck has a pretty talented drummer, in my opinion
Yea man was just going to say the same thing. Very very tight precision timing. This is a talented band. And definitely have something special going on
I like how when the drummer dances, in the van, he is air drumming XD man loves to drum!
How can I feel so much nostalgia from a song I've never heard before?
Yes!!! I feel this way about Belmont and Static Dress
Are we all just gonna sit here and pretend we didn't notice those expertly planted Hostas behind the bass player? Those would bring a single tear to any Grandmother's eye...
The only reason the neighbors tolerated them making noise in the front yard

It's so Chicago/Midwest. I love it. Many shows were played in backyards here!

Glad I stumbled on this band. Their sound makes me feel younger and I wanna go skate now! Thanks guys!
I find this to be one of my favorite songs because it has the heavy ness within the instruments but the vocals still remain clean. Some say this song would be better with unclean vocals but personally I find it much more appealing that a heavy song can still not have screaming.
Two dudes who can shred both playing telecasters, what an epic sound! Not even mentioning the technicality of those drums.
Such an epic track! On repeat for days. Look forward to the next release.
Nick Mac hefe from nofx plays a tele and his sound isn't as nearly dialed in as these cats.
Haha... I’ve been waiting for a new release for 1 and a 1/2 years
The drums aint even technical though. Its simple overdone metalcore fills, not to mention they are programmed as hell

🔥 A NEW GENRE WAS BORN: TECHNICAL POP PUNK 🔥
I think not, their sound is a fusion between hardcore or metalcore and pop punk, the name is easycore
They went all out with this song, especially the drummer.
Everybody talking about the drummer. Yeah he does a lot but the whole band implements a lot of the deathcore structure. Just with really fuckin happy notes
not really deathcore, more hardcore, but i see where you’re coming from
This song is like waging musical warefare. Brain leads the charge and Sam and Jason follow him into glorious battle while Taz navigates and barks orders and Alex brings up the rear keeping everybody else covered.
