Yoooooooooo drummer reveal! Finally you guys made it official with your drum tech. Hes put in the work, knows your shit inside and out, and is actually a great drummer. Having people that are super close to you guys like this makes the songs still feel like Neck Deep even after all of these band member changes.

It's amazing how you guys always manage to be in tune with my life, I know it may sound a bit childish, but it's usually true for me with ND, your songs always come at the right moments, and your lyrics make reference to many things I'm going through. I've been dealing with a lot of problems for a while now, I've even had negative thoughts about it, and I always try to think that things can't be this bad forever, but I find it hard to believe those my words I say and listening to this song, it feels like you guys have written it for me, supporting me to get through and keep me going, it's a pleasure for my heart to always listen to your songs, you guys have done so much for me, you can't even imagine how many times you have saved me. Ever since the pandemic, I was on a downward spiral. I lost friends, went through a break up, got addicted to drugs, drank alot, and was a total pessimisstic nihilist.
The past year I have been doing my hardest to try and get my life together. Even though Im not where I want to be but Im still proud of the progress I have made. The biggest struggle I had was relearning how to be happy and see the beautiful side of life.
The worst part of depression isnt the possibility of suicide, its the fact that you lose years of your life when you could have been happy or productive.
People in the alternative scene have a bad habit of fetishizing their sadness and self destruction because it either makes em look cool, relatable, or they just want an excuse to complain about life instead of taking matters into their own hands. But the truth is, with that mindset and attitude you are only just pushing away people who want to love you and you are self sabotaging your opportunities to live a more meaningful life.
Everyone has struggles, but it is our duty to learn how to climb out of them and learn how to be happier people in a way that doesnt feel forced.
Thank you Neck Deep, for reminding me that life really isnt out to get you.
