I impulsively cut all my locs off 2 years ago, but I'm back and I'm here to stay!! i’m sitting here binge watching loc videos after my loc lady told me i have to wait 6-9 months to wash my hair, this is crazy but i live like an hr away from philly

i ended up washing it this past sunday even though she said that, some of it unraveled but when i retwisted them alone it came out great. my scalp had some build up and a lot of white stuff i’m honestly glad i didn’t listen fr
You can always wash your hair just gotta be patience with the results!

Banding the ends of the locs with a scrunchie works instead of wig caps. Try twisting a whole bunch together then put the scrunchie at the end.
That’s what I did expect I used rubber bands. It kept everything together
I stated my loc journey on feb. 23rd, 2022 and i washed it four weeks later. It looked a hot mess. So i had a retwist. Two weeks after that i had it washed and twisted again. My hair swells from water or spray water. My last retwist was 4/14/22. My hair is so soft they be cutting up. However I’m hanging in there

Today makes 4 weeks for me and I have soft hair I washed it and my nerves bad because a few tried to unravel lol but I did twist them right back up as you are doing!! 🤣 my 5 year old has 4c hair and she started her loc journey yesterday we're so excited!!!

I went through the same thing! Started my locs, kept them for a year and decided I wasn’t ready. Cut them, and now I’m back and ready! Lol welcome back 🙌🏾🤗
@@AlisonCamille I honestly can’t wait! I’ve ordered the vitamin oil and rose water can I ask do you need to use a hair cream or lotion to rub on the locks or will the rose water be enough? ☺️
Rose water and oil is just fine! No creams because you don’t want build up in your locs

just washed my starters after 3 weeks and a couple coils on one side completely unraveled 😫. i get my first retwist in a couple days though so imma just thug it out 😭

No I actually have an hooded attachment that connects to my blow dryer so I dry it that way

I only used shampoo until my hair locked because the conditioner softens it
@@AlisonCamille i did just use conditioner and its not bad i only used a bit just to massage my scalp but washed my hair overall with shampoo everything is fine as of now

@@AlisonCamille I understand. I started my journey recently. I will say I thought I was going to immediately hide it but I ended up not. They are short but they were styled so I'm more comfortable because it's cute. Try a style
Yes I’ve been wearing styles lately and I’m obsessed!! My styles only last 2 weeks tho before I have to take them out and let them free lol but I’m still loving the journey 💕
