- Today I'm checking out my first S-Model Kit! The Panzer III Ausf. G... IF you couldn't tell by the title.
I'm pretty pleased with how this kit built up and I'll definitely be getting some more kits from S-Model. I really like the inclusion of photo etch parts. It's a small thing, but I feel it adds a lot of value and interest to the model.
Not only does it look good, but it was quite easy and fun to build.
As always, let me know what you think!

As someone mentioned earlier, they look pretty good for "gaming models." Even better as you get 2 to mess around with and I don't think even I can mess them both up.
I have the Panzer 2 box on order which even come with metal barrels. Panzer 2 models in 1/72 are pretty few and far between so having 2 is a bonus, one Africa and one Europe.
Reminds me when I built a 1/72 Airfix Panzer III many, many years ago. I decided to make a little cardboard surrounding diorama that tried to show the Western Desert - I remember getting really small twigs to put on the tank, and then made up a couple of trees in the background, along with some rocks and sand. I never got around to doing any further dioramas!
Wasn't that a Matchbox Pz III? Airfix only made the StuG.
Thank you, I've been curious about s-models myself. I think I'll give some a try
wow, looking good! photoetch on a gaming model?! impressive.
Intresting and fun to watch video as always!
Great Build thank you :) This info helped me to see the S models they are very nice:)
photoetch carrier is called a 'fret'. fun video, thanks !
Es un precioso kit felicidades un gran trabajo...gracias por compartir....
A good tip for cutting out photo-etch parts is to cut them on a solid flat surface such as a tile or piece of glass - if you cut on a softer surface like your cutting mat, you could bend the etch. No-one wants a bendy etch, do they?
Who does not like a good Panzer III?
what they meant by cut is remove the original "plate" from the hull and replace it with the grey detail
Looks pretty good for a wargame product i just might buy som of their tanks.
Now i have to get a s-model
Hey that seems good and also try any other s model kits. So that you could see if other s model kits are good
Thanks
neat stuff yes see as pot em
I hope they make a Panther D
That's a good kit, I need to see if I can get my g r e a s y hands on a kit.
and also, what country are you from? Greetings from Australia!
A Profile He's also from Australia so he has probably heard lots of other greetings from Australians before
Karen Frost oh wow, that's awesome! I really didn't know.
PE is not that uncommon in 1/72 actually. It is quite common on Dragon Models kits. The "sprue" for PE parts is known as fret...btw.
Definitely not common. Just bought 3 dragon 1/72 tanks. There is no PE in any of them.
in china, they sale this kit for about $9
"But 1+1=3! So just getting two kits is a disappointment... or a FRAUD even!"
...this is the shocking result of eating to much SAUERKRAUT. Be aware of SAUERKRAUT! Always on the watch!
